No he didnt.. Kakashi was placed in Itachi genjutsu because Kakashi thought his sharingun could match Itachi.. like Sasuke said.. Kakashi is not a member of the Uchiha Clan so his body is not use to it.. thats why Kakashi is often in hospital due to the sharingun being too powerful for him..

The best part about Guy coming in to save the other Jonin is how he takes over and takes command. He already prepared reinforcements (Kakashi neglected to do this) and has a plan for fighting Itachi and Kisame. It really shows why he's a Jonin. People forget this.

Guy is a terrible match for any uchiha . I think at the time only kisame give some competition to gai but 7th gate guys literally one shots them. Gaara literally says those are not human movement when guy was fighting madara with 7th gate and after fighting 7th gate guy madara said he is too strong. Guy was able to obilerate madaras imperfect susano with just a small hirudora in the war arc.
Guy can beat Itachi with his eight gate but he will die too..so that's a draw as conclusion will be both dying..and till his 7th gate he won't be able to break Itachi susano shield..
fun fact:when itachi uses the magenkyo sharingan in this ep his eyes doesnt change because the design wasnt made yet when the episode aired back in 2004.
And among all other Mangekyo, Itachi's has the simplest design. It's only on the latter part of the story when the designers/writers got creative with it.

I think 7GG puts up a very good fight, but people are dreaming if they think Guy is boxing with BOTH Kisame and Itachi here. It would be a medium difficulty fight, granted, but Guy wouldn't win here. Fun fact : Itachi is using a Genjutsu in a particular instant when he's casting a particular technique with the Opponent not even noticing it.. but he's casting signs is also incredibly fast combined that with Genjustsu it's very formidable.. Danzo was also tricked by this when he's Fighting Sasuke and he said the only Master of manifesting this kind of Genjutsu is only Itachi on a tactical duel and eventually got lost because of that.. It's a simple trick but hard to master and control over ur opponents unpredictable insight! It's not the shuriken that is deadly it's the who's master wielding it ..

Yeah this is pretty accurate. I never bought the "Look at their feet" thing because then the sharingan would be totally useless and nobody would EVER lose to the Uchiha if the solution were just that simple. The analogy I use is like this: Guy was used to fighting Kakashi, a talented user of the Sharingan, but not a true heir to the Sharingan. If I can beat Sakura, a genin skilled in genjutsu, I don't go up to Kurenai and try to put her in one. Why? Well, fighting a genin who's average in genjutsu is different than fighting a jonin who's main skill is genjutsu. The tactics you use for one opponent may not be appropriate for another opponent. So okay cool, you've learned to fight Kakashi. He's your rival. Well Itachi is WAY above your rival, and the thing about him is that he seems like he's not even TRYING here, and that's in character for him. So if it came down to it, Guy would almost certainly lose

He would use 7. But using 8 gates on those two, he just wouldn't do. And honestly, I don't even buy that Guy gets to 7 Gates. Kiaame is too powerful, Itachi too much of an illusion master. It took 7 Gates for Guy to fight a weakened Kisame, the idea that he takes BOTH of them down just isn't happening

@@magnusscheck4425 People say that Guy would just use the 8th gate, but then he dies. All 8 gates have never been used outside of war time, so in character, Guy isn't opening 8 gates for them two. WHATEVER they want, it isn't worth him dying and it isn't worth destroying the Leaf in the process. I think 7GG puts up a very good fight, but people are dreaming if they think Guy is boxing with BOTH Kisame and Itachi here. It would be a medium difficulty fight, granted, but Guy wouldn't win here. These two together are powerful enough to take on the entire Leaf by themselves

Fun fact : Itachi is using a Genjutsu in a particular instant when he's casting a particular technique with the Opponent not even noticing it.. but he's casting signs is also incredibly fast combined that with Genjustsu it's very formidable..
Danzo was also tricked by this when he's Fighting Sasuke and he said the only Master of manifesting this kind of Genjutsu is only Itachi on a tactical duel and eventually got lost because of that..
It's a simple trick but hard to master and control over ur opponents unpredictable insight!

Yeah this is pretty accurate. I never bought the "Look at their feet" thing because then the sharingan would be totally useless and nobody would EVER lose to the Uchiha if the solution were just that simple. The analogy I use is like this: Guy was used to fighting Kakashi, a talented user of the Sharingan, but not a true heir to the Sharingan.
If I can beat Sakura, a genin skilled in genjutsu, I don't go up to Kurenai and try to put her in one. Why? Well, fighting a genin who's average in genjutsu is different than fighting a jonin who's main skill is genjutsu. The tactics you use for one opponent may not be appropriate for another opponent. So okay cool, you've learned to fight Kakashi. He's your rival. Well Itachi is WAY above your rival, and the thing about him is that he seems like he's not even TRYING here, and that's in character for him. So if it came down to it, Guy would almost certainly lose

@@fool6925 to me the 8 Gates are more of a plot device. The only time 8 gates are ever used is in active wartime, not for any other reason outside of that. Guy, in character, would use 6. He would use 7. But using 8 gates on those two, he just wouldn't do. And honestly, I don't even buy that Guy gets to 7 Gates. Kiaame is too powerful, Itachi too much of an illusion master. It took 7 Gates for Guy to fight a weakened Kisame, the idea that he takes BOTH of them down just isn't happening
