actually kakashi during that time was the strongest enemy for pain, he unlike obito could use kamui on long distances.So basically he could kill all pain puppets on a distance staying for example on the roof of a building and removing their heads .
Remember back then Kakashi couldn't use kamui as properly as he did in the fourth war. His Kamui was very slow, and easy to dodge. That is why he avoided using the kamui against Kakuzu, because the zombie would easily dodge that technique, and Kakashi would only expend a lot of chakra for nothing. Back then he could only use the kamui against targets that they couldn't dodge, like that nail, or the missile that was going straight at Chouji. And of course, we have Deidara, let's remember Kakashi spent half the chapter trying to use kamui. It is in the fourth war that he (partly thanks to Kurama's chakra) he was able to improve his kamui efficiently both in times of use and in speed.

Kakashi was one of my favourite character in Naruto at that time and i considered him as to be one of the strongest ninja of the village and when my friend told me that kakashi was killed by pain, i was so heartbroken until he was saved by Nagato
What would happen if Kakashi used Kamui on the Pain's body? Maybe that would've helped a lot.

Yes it is how do you think Pain knew what it was? He literally says “that ocular Jutsu”. That’s fucking foreshadowing if I’ve ever seen it. Obito was Pain’s boss that’s why he knew what Kamui was.
@@johndo3713 Because Pain isn't saying he's seen the jutsu before. He deduced that Kamui was the specific ocular jutsu Kakashi used to survive the nail fired at him earlier.

It should of been a closer fight with Kakashi I thought, in the beginning of the series I remember Kakashi just being so op they nerfed him badly kinda like Sasuke nowadays, losing the eye, the stamina problem it's becoming a bad joke

I know this isn't the War arc (which I still do think has plenty of strategy in their fights), but just look at this example of Kakashi's stellar enemy analysis based off almost no pre-established facts but purely what he manages to gather when he sends his Clones to scout or from his cooperation with Choji and his dad.

actually kakashi during that time was the strongest enemy for pain, he unlike obito could use kamui on long distances.So basically he could kill all pain puppets on a distance staying for example on the roof of a building and removing their heads .
Remember back then Kakashi couldn't use kamui as properly as he did in the fourth war. His Kamui was very slow, and easy to dodge.
That is why he avoided using the kamui against Kakuzu, because the zombie would easily dodge that technique, and Kakashi would only expend a lot of chakra for nothing. Back then he could only use the kamui against targets that they couldn't dodge, like that nail, or the missile that was going straight at Chouji. And of course, we have Deidara, let's remember Kakashi spent half the chapter trying to use kamui.
It is in the fourth war that he (partly thanks to Kurama's chakra) he was able to improve his kamui efficiently both in times of use and in speed.
What Andres said & Pain is a sensory type. He senses MS abilities before they activate.
