Hands down no taijutsu from part 1 can top the beginning of the last naruto vs sasuke fight. Literally poetry in motion the way the made sasuke not allow naruto to use shadow clones. And so many people miss it.

I'm gonna forever be salty about how wasted Lee's character was in Shippuden. Literally proved that everything Lee was working for, trying to "beat the talented through hard work" isn't actually possible cause all of Shippuden is literally based around who was born with a better handicap or has the better eyes. Everything that Lee does is what i loved about Naruto.
True. Lee was my favourite in the Classic Naruto and he surely was one of the favourites of many people. Its a shame they didnt went deeper into his character in shippuden. He basically wasnt existent anymore. Same goes for Neji and somehow Gaara and Shikamaru who all were great Characters in the Classic Naruto. Naruto and Sasuke evolved into Gods whereas other great characters just were ignored.
I will never understand how normal ninjas(Every ninja that has not special defenses powers) can handle punches and kicks from Rock Lee and gai sensei, they have a lot of strength in their muscles and the normal ninjas do not have really good defenses or something like HxH that u can protect with ur aura or haki, except from Gaara with his sand armor and kimimaro with his gekkegenkai, others idk, but ah a lariat from killer bee works on Sasuke and kisame, it should be the same with ma boes, wait know i remember the principal pain handled to wake up after get beat into rocks against kyubi, but was undead puppet. Yea, even if you take away the 9 Tails and 6 Path Chakra, Naruto is a descendent of Two very powerfull clans, so from the get go, he was meant for gretness and wasnt an underdog on the slightest.
He did actually in Shippuden first movie when lee fought that stone demon like dude. He became drunk from eating something Gai gave him before the mission.
For those wondering why kimimaru let him drink his medicine is because kimimaru has a history of illness as well. And he too needs to take his medication. He resonated with him in that fight and allowed him to take it.
It now make sense to me that every move Lee had shown here is in reference to Jackie Chan's drunken master 2 movie. Almost identical moves. You can't unsee it if you ever see that movie

Knowing a bit more about Kimimaru makes his halting for the medicine a bit more believable- being ill himself, he’s doubtless gotta take medicines and whatnot so he’d be a bit nicer about that than most enemies 🤣

I knew the moment I saw Rock wipe the floor with Sasuke and the obvious Bruce Lee influence I’d love this guy. My favorite fighter in the series for sure.
Nothing is quite as hype as a terrifying and deadly past villain suddenly showing up later and having flipped from villain to hero by stepping in to save the good guys seemingly from out of nowhere. Seeing *Gaara* be the one to save Lee, particularly after the injuries he'd caused to Lee (and Gaara's subtle but obvious remorse over it) is such an amazing moment. Out of everyone who could have shown up to save Lee, *Gaara* was probably the one person that we all least expected to pull that "Big Damn Heroes" moment.

Lee at his best and not just escaped directly after his surgery and using all of his inner gates, that he could open at this point, vs. Kimimaru would be very interesting. I don't think he could defeat him. But Kimimaru would have to give it his best to not lose at that point.

For those that don't know, Drunk Fist is an actual martial art style and is honestly best scene to it's fullest extent in the Jackie Chan movie series "Drunken Master" or in Mortal Kombat with the character Bo'Rai Cho.

I think because Kimimaro was sick, himself he was able to easily empathize with Lee's request to medicate. I actually didn't want Kimimaro to die lmao. Even if you're clearly winning, if they throw out their hand and say please stop/wait/etc with an urgency (which Lee had,) you give them that moment. It could actually be something important, like Lee needing his medicine, out even then trying to tell you something. But unless they've given you a legitimate reason for PERSONAL vengeance, you don't just keep attacking when someone asks you to stop.

It is so cool that Kiba smelled the reinforces that had arrived. That's why he smiled.

Even if you're clearly winning, if they throw out their hand and say please stop/wait/etc with an urgency (which Lee had,) you give them that moment.
It could actually be something important, like Lee needing his medicine, out even then trying to tell you something. But unless they've given you a legitimate reason for PERSONAL vengeance, you don't just keep attacking when someone asks you to stop.

omfg i remember watching each episode come out one by one on cartoon network saturday nights. Toonami was the shit!! Still get the same hype now watching it. Fucken amazing. The drunken fist and the sand ninjas coming in to clutch
Ah yes. When we would get 6 months of filler. Meanwhile people watching for the first time on crunchyroll and other sites complain about the frequent flashbacks because they don't realize sometimes there was months between canon arcs, not just a couple of hours.
Or, in the case of those who skip fillers even though it's their first time watching - minutes.
