Black Beard climbs the ladder all the up.....off screen. We barely see him. And we have no freaking idea of his plan despite a little stuff with the Celestial Dragons. He is so bored of his characters he even drop them as soon as they get into action (spoiler alert Wano The Green Bull amiral, teased up since Dress Rosa with from Issho, is actually irrelevant and we skip through him just a couple of chapters later. Or even for recently : spoiler for Egg Head arc The Seraphins, that are sooooo damn a new replacement for the warlord and the new 3rd order of group to balance the forces of the world, are also irrelevant. Nobody cares about the Seraphins. Thanks Oda. Plus they cannot really speak or have an interesting personality, they are childish clones of characters we already know of. End of spoiler) - 80% of the straw hats, just barely have screen time with respect to the golden trio of the crew, they are so much in the background that they got reduced to just gimmicks of themselves. Francky says "suuuuper" all the time. Robin is grim. Chopper is cute. Ussop is either 80% not on screen or a coward, and a few times the author remember he is there. Even Sanji is just horny all the time. And Luffy is hungry or an idiot or must protect his nakama or random dudes he met 3 days ago. He never has a plan and charges forward. Every arc with them is copy pasted with the obligatory phase where they split up, meet randoms that are oppressed by a Tyrant (every single arc with them for the past 20 years....). Then they will have to beat up their crew and the last 3 will be beat up by the golden trio (or 4 now with Jinbei). Same stuff since Arlong Park. All the way up to Wano. With very few exceptions. And the story gets better every time we don't focus on the crew: Marie Geoise and Sabo, Im, the Gorosei. So the story is worse with its main protagonists... Also Luffy is already way too good. And his fights don't have 'uch weight any more since he is laughing out all the time a goofing around with his last Gear. And the list keeps going on and on and on. For a story that will maybe not even finished in 2030...
Pain is the only well written one from those 3. Obito stopped being good once he joind 4 Shinobi world war and Itachi's character became a mary sue after the "Truth".
