I also have super sensitive skin and eczema so anything chemically will make me blister. I'll stick to my basic wash and moisturize routine thanks 😂
I know physical exfoliation isn’t for everyone but I use the Cetaphil gentle scrub and it works soooo well. It has super small particles that I can’t even feel.
Careful careful, cetaphil contains paraben. I used to use it and got to stop since I knew it contained paraben (so sad I had to waste my gentle skin cleanser and moisturizer)
@@raerohan4241it is if it irritates your skin and everyone's skin works differently Cetaphil is okay but it's not the best sometimes the expensive cleansers are garbage but if you go into a make up shop sometimes you can find those tea tree oil masks that you put on your face and just wash it off you can feel it tingling so you know that it's working I got it for like 3.99. If it's a unique product like that and it's hard to find sometimes I'm more likely to get it or if it's a really expensive product that comes in a kit with serems and facial cleansers. Other than that the popular brands like Neutrogena, or Cetaphil kind of suck for the price of it. Expensive is not always better for you if you don't research the product before you buy it.
I disagree as a board certified skin owner for 40+ years. I find physical scrubs non irritating and non problematic. Chemical scrubs foster inflammation as they are often poorly formulated or poorly balanced.
Co2 Lazers and newer ones, micro needling and chemical peels. I had shingles 11’s in my face. It looks like I had acne when I was younger and I didn’t. I can’t even place makeup on and go anymore. I went into several, 10 consultations, @ Massachusetts General Hospital, to Regular Dermatologist’s to skin care places. They’re coming out with so much. Putting your own plasma in your face, etc.. The best thing I ever did was stay out of the sun and literal until dark. Year round and it cleared up. The minute I hit the outside in daylight it came right out. Use a bronzer, not a foundation. They make it come out more. The bronzer blends it. Then a tad of blush and touch up any spots you see. Literally works. I’m too old 😂, to be spending 10,000 plus for these treatments.
There’s no way I rub all these chemicals into my skin daily. I use my exfoliants and moisturizers twice a week after a bath. Even if I didn’t look 15 years younger my age at 45, I’d still not bother. By the way I don’t use any sunscreen unless on the beach for UV filters prevent oxygen circulation your derma

Appreciate your videos/info! I'm a 39 y/o who is lost in the skincare dept. Just had my first hydrofacial and now obsessed with taking care of my skin better!! ❤
I’m in my 30s and see all the flaws in my skin but I constantly get compliments from others on my skin and looking like I’m in my 20s. Thank god my mom yelled at me for years to keep up my skin care routine lol anyways, no one is a worse critic of our flaws than ourselves, throw out the magnifying mirror and don’t worry so much. No one worries about how you look, we are all too worried about our own skin 😂😂😂
What do you use
What do you mean by no one cares about how you look! You’ve negative the first half of your comment, and it’s inherently untrue, since the beginning of time. People care about appearances.
Physical exfoliants are a must. Whether it's powder or cloth, chemical exfoliation does not remove skin cells sitting on top
Which exfoliant, it wasnt specified in this video? Which retinol for the eyes?
What chem exfoliant do u recommend?
Paulas Choice AHA Serum
@@xXLadySunXx
That's Glycolic. Many ppl (including
me!) cannot use Glycolic🙏🇬🇧
@@xXLadySunXxI use this one too! The one with the white top and dark gray bottle? I love it. I got the 'travel' or 'sample ' bottle, it's tiny, many months ago and I still have some left. Might need to reorder soon tho.
I love this message. Take care of your body best you can. Also you are a work of art!
Can u give us tips on how u got rid of ur melasma?
Probably hydroquinone
I watch your videos a lot and i can't get rid of your introduction: 39 years old certified dermatologist, out of my mind!!!
I thought you were JUST starting your 30's not ending them 😲
💀💀how ? She looks 39-45.
@@Rosemary46840no she doesn’t lmao
@@Rosemary46840stop being salty. It’s truly lame. She doesn’t look in her 20s obviously, but she looks like a 33 yo with an obvious amount of good placed filler and botox, but the actual guilt goes to the filters. Maybe irl she looks older or her real age, but def not here.
@@Rosemary46840no she doesnt
I wouuld add that she would look even younger if her styling is younger. She only looks 30 because she dresses like a mom (not that it's bad)
I'm almost 40 and just started doing skincare last month. I usually only do double cleanser daily (no sunscreen, gasp!). Now, I try to incorporate some routine for day (serum, moisturizer, sunscreen 50 spf pa ++++) & night (gentle retinol set). Hopefully it will help preserve my youthful look under the harsh tropical climate.
Can you please suggest a skincare routine for 65 year olds. Should retinol be used under the eyes?
Yes if u do not have rosacea, eczema, or some dermatitis around the eyes and only autumn/winter time.
Only if u can tolerate it
What chemical exfoliant do you recommend? For sensitive skin?
Please link your products!😊
And don't forget the treatment from the inside which, you have to eat all your fruit and vegetables and drink water, balance healthy diet will make your skin and hair even better along side the outside treatment.
Skincare in your 60’s please!!
Love your vlogs.
Some of us aren't lucky enough to have good eyesight.... I need a magnifying mirror without my glasses as otherwise my nose has to touch the mirror for me to see in it. I also have super sensitive skin and eczema so anything chemically will make me blister. I'll stick to my basic wash and moisturize routine thanks 😂
😂 In 10 yrs, she'll recommend the magnifying mirror to be able to see 🔎
ROIGHT!! 😂 gets me every time 🫶🏼🤣
I know physical exfoliation isn’t for everyone but I use the Cetaphil gentle scrub and it works soooo well. It has super small particles that I can’t even feel.
Careful careful, cetaphil contains paraben. I used to use it and got to stop since I knew it contained paraben (so sad I had to waste my gentle skin cleanser and moisturizer)
@@Letsmarchishere There is nothing wrong with parabens.
@@raerohan4241 Parabens react like estrogen and has been link to birth defects and other reproductive complications... yeah nothing wrong indeed. 🥺💀
@@raerohan4241Yay, parabens, keeping our skin care products bacteria free without the use of harsher, more allergenic and less tested ingredients!
Concerning retinoid under eyes.. have you checked research on the harms of retinol around eyes?
Great tips 🙏
What are some good under eye retinoids?
The one from Beauty of Joseon. It's an eyecream
Retinal
Avene Retinaldehyde for Eyes (.05%)
I disagree as a board certified skin owner for 40+ years. I find physical scrubs non irritating and non problematic. Chemical scrubs foster inflammation as they are often poorly formulated or poorly balanced.
How did you treat ur melasma? Please share!😊
she's talked about it. but it's about staying committed to your skincare routine, wearing sunscreen and staying out of the sun
Ugh mine is so bad now i look like i have a map of different countries all over my face.
@@lj0727ry the musely system. Google it.
@@lj0727i have the same problem
You held up much better than I've been able to with my friends and people that are supporters. I just subscribed:)
What chemical exfoliant were you using?
@fleas.8624 , in this vd she uses the PillowtalkDerm Major fade flash mask
Right. And after that she uses Major Fade Hyper Serum to target the melasma. Also her own brand.
What is the best sunscreen for someone 51 years old and has severe melasma?
would love to know how you treated the melasma
Probably Lazer
How do you feel about cold cream and microfiber face cloths? It's love to see a video about that.
We’re all monets at the end of the day
I was wondering what she said thanks
“We’re all Monets at the end of the day”. Mic drop, love it 😂😂
Make sure to put sunscreen on your arms, top of hands, shoulders and chest. Wear sunscreen daily, year around.
I needed to hear the last one. Thanks 😢
Skincare for your 40’s please. I’m curious to see if I’m doing it correctly.
I can’t find a sunscreen that doesn’t break me out 😭
39??? You look 18 and so beautiful...Thank you for the tips.
I just need her to smile one time. Homegirl’s face is full tight with Botox
@@hughjazz64
skin cancer is a serious issue... wear it or suffer the consequences. PS. everything is made out of chemicals.
@@hughjazz64
The reason she HAS to wear sunscreen all year and weather is because of the melasma. To keep it in check sunscreen helps for it to not flare up.
@@hughjazz64so loud and so wrong
Don't throw out the magnifying mirror because your eyesight doesn't improve with age and doing your skincare or makeup with glasses on doesn't work, eyeliner for example is an exercise in muscle memory for me if I don't have access to my magnifying mirror. (Just don't use it to get close up jump scares of pores etc)
You're so close to 40, can you do a routine for 40s?
Can you make a video like this but for people in their 50s? My mom has recently started a proper skincare routine, and it would really help to know what is actually essential. ❤
Double cleansing does not mean micellar + cleanser . They are basically the same thing. You need oil + gel cleanser. Thats what double cleansing is
You also said uv 3 index for sunscreen. Decide it.
What products do you use in ur routine? Please let us know. ❤
She is a derm she has access to every single new technology: filler Botox lasers PRP and other new stuff that normal people don't even know about skincare can only do much .
@@sarahrahal48 She forgot genetics playing a role too.
Genetics yes but when it comes to normal people but she is a derm and constantly injecting stuff to her face in addition to lasers and Led light therapy again that's why I don't trust those deems on TH-cam to give an adequate anti aging routine only based on skin care products
Lol I love this woman and how she always says she's a board certified dermatologist. YES BABE ❤
Hold up, 39 years old?!
She gets botox, fillers and lots of lasers. Has made videos about it.
that lady's forehead isn't moving and looks plastic like those Korean ladies. everyone has wrinkles especially non melanated skin, after 25yrs old you have to work magic.
Thank You Sis! Much appreciated!
Can you do 40- late 40s as well please?
Yes, I started doing all these things and I’ve been getting so many compliments lately 😮❤
So do we need a moisturizer and a sunscreen or can we use one that claims both?
I just turned 30. I'm glad I'm on the right path! ❤
I am going to follow all your tips from now on! Your skin is just amazing!!!
Practical! Thank you!
I love your videos. What should I do if I have a scalp infection? I think it's a bad smelling staph scalp infection. I went to a dermatologist but it didn't help. No doctor seems to want to collect a sample. I don't even know what kind of infection I have. I also have small spots on my scalp. Thanks 🤗
Any retinol under my eye instantly AGES me 15 years
I also have Melasma, what are the best products and steps? You are amazing, thank you for sharing your experience and humanity! ❤️

What is a chemical exfoliant exactly and what brand should I buy?
Any skincare routine suggestions for someone in 60’s for uneven skin tone??

Hi Dr. Idris! What do you think about eminence organic skincare line? Are they really effective?
You need to wear Japanese or Korean cosmetic products they work nice I have a white sensitive skin but their products work wonderfully especially the SPF and they smell nice I also use this milk 🥛 moisturizer that is Korean
Can you please make a video of Women over 50 what products are best for their face .
