This is also known as vapor or aqua blasting. Commonly used in Great Britain by motorcycle and automotive shops for many years to clean aluminum and cast iron engine blocks and parts without damage, leaving an like new finish. Here in the US we seem to be a little behind the curve as I cannot find anyone in my area that can do this work or even knows what I'm talking about, for that matter.
I spent 3 summers during my university years, working on construction crews that jack hammered and sand boasted the rebar supports in elevated concrete highway overpasses. It was an interesting experience and exercise in things I never want to do again
Used to work at a place that made insulated panels for cars and trucks. They used dry ice thru small blasters. Worked great at cleaning the molds. You could clean them right on the press with very little mess.
What blast media was used for the car? Garnet? Bottle glass? I was always under the impression that the buckling of thin metals was caused by the peening effect rather than heat?
It's called slurry blasting. The press switch sucks but the nozzle is really good. For more effective blasting he needs to create an overlapping strokes which cuts and cleans simultaneously
Alex McGovern noooooo bro hell naw. Circle blasting is for Rookies. I’m an industrial coatings specialist. Circle blasting leaves an uneven anchor profile on your substrate. Always 50/50 overlap. Cleaner blast and insures you get everything. Circles is terrible after your done blasting your profile readings will be all over the place
I don't understand videos like this man. Anytime I have blasted cars, I always get a million miscellaneous parts and cars that are full of bondo and rust so I spend a full day on projects like this...really feel like I'm doing something wrong after watching TH-cam's blasting promotions.
Audience, this is the Sh.t, please excuse my expression. This is the new, and out with the past of hand sanding. This is quick and more efficient for the vehicle to be totally clear of misses. Dustless Blasting, I just came across this, and you guys deserve an A+. I can work for a company with a trusted product, customers love the end results. Happy 2019/2020 Holiday Guys to you and your Family....
Absolutely! Works great removing rust and even very heavy corrosion. In this video you can see some thick rust being blasted: th-cam.com/video/i9t5eIhFuBk/w-d-xo.htmlm2s
Portable Car Wash lol wow my car looks different ? Thought it was blue but looks grey now, must be the lighting lol this is great will definitely be looking to buy one of these.
OMG this is my dream job, I love pressure washing, and as an airplane propeller tech, I love media blasting, dude hook me up with a set-up, I'll dustless blast my whole county for free lol
So basically $250,000.00 total cost of getting up and running, if you want the biggest machine, and of course buying a truck and the paint job insurance etc..
Not quite... We now offer a different turn key mobile business that give you truly everything you need, even a sweet set of wheels. Check it out HERE! th-cam.com/video/Q9O4c7M2pf8/w-d-xo.html
@@robertolivarez5742 either you're outright lying, someone tried to scam you, overall your reply is bullshit. You can buy the systems. The most expensive blast in the suggested pricing guide is a disassembled vehicle and it's 1350. Average vehicle is 850 or so. I've priced several and never been over 1200. Many have come in under 800, those were jeeps. 7300 gets you a mobile blasting unit of your own.
That would be great to remove the massive amounts of mud my old Jeep accumulates after I go on off road treks. It could get rid of the worthless powder coat as well. That stuff is only marginally better than black spray paint. It rusts too. I am going to get stainless someday.
Nooo the patina! (Just kidding, unless you live in a sunshine state where you can get away with clear coating over ‘patina’ you need paint to avoid your truck rotting away)
+Dustless Blasting 140 psi is 9.6 bar. That's not that much, I was expecting 20 bar or something.. That's pretty awesome ! I have a regular sand blasting cabinet for automative parts, I am using 10 bar of pressure, and sometimes even with the heavy rust, I feel I need some more..
Jarrod, great question. By adding Rust Inhibitor to the tank, you can prevent flash rust for up to 72 hours, giving you or the customer plenty of time to prime the vehicle. Here is a video about Rust Inhibitor: th-cam.com/video/yZHgw5efRQk/w-d-xo.html
I’m more amazed by the mustache
It certainly appears to be the best method of blasting that I have yet experienced. What an invention!
I like it! Anyone who's stripped paint knows how awesome this is! Save days of hard nasty work.
Yep the days of hand sanding and scraping or using chemicals IS OVER!
That looks unbelievably satisfying.

WHERE'S THE FINISHED TRUCK !!!
Paul B I remember when this video first came out and I was wondering when where gonna see the truck bed lined
Paul B bad ass faster work
Dustless in other words people it's called hydro blasting, this technique is used in the maritime industry
5:34
Wow, this looks like a game changer. Does incorporating water into the mixture prevent and eliminate panel warping?
No Ford is worth that much trouble! Just me talking trash, I’m a Chevy guy! Awesome video fellas...
That mustache makes him look like hes about to start singin crambone. c-c-c-c-crambone
Favorite part of the video: towards the end when Dennis points at the guy getting blown off with the blower and says "blow job."

I've seen this process with the dry ice also
That was a nice blue paint job at one time.
I usually give my kids candy and soda along with each their own sander.
Satisfying 😍
This is absolutely amazing.
Thanks!
I don't know who that Dennis is, or what half of that crap means, but good lord that's satosfying
Dennis is the man!!!!
Yes... Yes he is!
This machine is bad ass. Well done.
What blast media was used for the car? Garnet? Bottle glass? I was always under the impression that the buckling of thin metals was caused by the peening effect rather than heat?
Nicely done
It's called slurry blasting. The press switch sucks but the nozzle is really good. For more effective blasting he needs to create an overlapping strokes which cuts and cleans simultaneously
Pro tip -when media blasting go in small circular pattern instead of side to side / up and down this insures you get everything in one pass

Wow awesome
Thank you! Cheers!
Very nice work.
what an amazing system!
What happened to that grass area, afterwards?
Why don't you de trim the vehicles before blasting? All the emblems, grille and plastic gets ruined and the paint/rust behind it stays..
Awesome truck and awesome product!
I like it !
Thanks
Makes my old Super Soaker look very average.
ikr lol
If you focus the pressure on one part of the metal, would it eat right through it, creating a hole?
This Product is SPOT ON !!!!
Why did you leave the upper portion of the cab unblasted? Very cool procedure, though!

Wow sanding is a thing of the past
BlackCoffee , for the fee of the rental on that machine? I'll sand the fuck out of that truck old school.
Johnson Terry hell yea lmfao
Super satisfying
Awesome job guys,Keep up the good work
What did the Norwegian call he's pick-up? FJORD.
lol
me gustaria tener informacion en español . el precio y su funcionamiento estoy interesado en la maquina vivo en españa . un saludo
may sound silly but will this work with rust on frame?
Absolutely! Works great removing rust and even very heavy corrosion. In this video you can see some thick rust being blasted: th-cam.com/video/i9t5eIhFuBk/w-d-xo.htmlm2s
Yes unless it's heavy scale. Then you need to use physical removal. Otherwise you'll polish the scale.
How much water do you typically go through for a vehicle like that?
its probably not much to be honest
one cup of water.lol
If you have to ask, you may not be rich enough
@@paullanier8280 but the yard is really green now
Portable Car Wash lol wow my car looks different ? Thought it was blue but looks grey now, must be the lighting lol this is great will definitely be looking to buy one of these.
Thanks for watching!
How did you get the paint out of the grass afterwards?
Awesome !
Sand blasting was always such a dirty job. I defiantly would prefer this method.
THIS IS INSANELY COOL
OMG this is my dream job, I love pressure washing, and as an airplane propeller tech, I love media blasting, dude hook me up with a set-up, I'll dustless blast my whole county for free lol
Start at the whitehouse.
NZ Salt Flats Racer yup, drain the swamp.
Really great video and narrator.
incredible
very good
and efficient system
congratulations....
I have some underwear that wont come clean how would this do with them?
ryan peace use a little poison ivy, it will clean those shorts in no time.
That’s nice but can it work on these newer model trucks and cars due to how the materials are
So satisfying
What am i looking at to get setup?i own a portable welding and would be really interested in this setup
That was Awesome 👏!!!
What a primer is used?

I called them ask them how much it would be they want $950 just to sandblast a frame
Good price
yeah I called for my truck and they wanted $7,300
I could buy another truck for that.
that should just sell the blasters

I'm sold!! I will have one soon!!
Thats great. But id like to see the finished rhino lined truck.
How much pressure is required for this type of blasting?
I always figured Dennis Gage would drive something like a Stutz Bearcat or a Morgan Plus 8.
I bet ot was very satisfying for the owner to blast his truck.
Should your grass be masked off too ?
Can you remove a vinyl graphics vehicle wrap using this method? I have a step van that needs to be stripped...
What would be the normal price for a similar job? What does it take to get set up in such a business? What else can the equipment do?
Nooo the patina! (Just kidding, unless you live in a sunshine state where you can get away with clear coating over ‘patina’ you need paint to avoid your truck rotting away)
I dislike using bedliner coating as paint on a vehicle....regardless of the vehicle or use. Especially on a classic Ford like this.
What does a truck like that cost to have done? without you driving to the site.... This is really interesting.
That is awesome!
Gosh! I love that so much ,I have a body a body shop always struggling to remove old paint ,that's dustless blaster made feel like a I'm a caveman !
Makes a pressure washer look like a water pistol...lol...i like it..
The owner of the truck was having a blast....😁
We need this where I work.
Cargirl458 why, would you use it to remove your makeup?
What kind of kick does the hose have. I used to worke with a 140psi system and I am thinking of getting your system in the future.
Steve Staley It's got a pretty good push back, it probably feels similar to the 140 psi dry system you may have used.

+Dustless Blasting Guessing it'll cut through fiberglass body cars like the corvette?
+Josh427SS We have some contractors who only restore Corvettes, with caution and a lower pressure they're able to strip fiberglass without damage.
Nice truck
Now thats how you make short work of body paint removal. On to next step . with this equipment you could make alot money in car restoration business
Brilliant and impressive...
AWSOME
Where is the truck now we want to see it
Do you guys do this in Arizona Prescott Valley? And if so how much to do a 1993 Red Jeep Wrangler? Both the inside and out side
Wow!
That's used for bridge cleaning , imagine how much pressure that thing has.
i need this to blast off 2-3 buckets worth of bondo on my corolla because of some butcher didnt want to weld in metal
Is this water or sand, I want a convincing answer and how much price is high
The Dustless Blaster uses a mixture of abrasive AND water. This adds mass to the blast, making it more powerful than dry sandblasting.
Got the same truck broke down in my backyard 😂what a surprise
I like it but you could have did it a bit 👌neater
That's one decent looking compressor sitting on that trailer
This is good for woman who put makeup ☺
Where does the old paint go? Blasted into nature?
so its basically baking soda an hold tight mixed with water?
Best and fastest way to remove paint but how much does it cost??
Yea and do you have time to paint before it goes to shit

I want to do this to my Ex's car.
yeah but you should do this in an enclosure with a water filter management to avoid plution of the nature....that is what Greta told me.
Wow, where can I get one? How much does it cost?
How do I get one of these I have a trailer I need to paint I built it my self but need to strip all the surface rust
Good!!!!!
Thanks!!
