I think he was writing Aquaman when Rebirth started and until Kelly Sue Deconnick took over around when the Metal times began. Also Dan Abnett was interviewed by Sal at least once, I think they might have talked about it and what was going on at DC.
Paul Dini: So I made this character in order for the Joker to have a sidekick after seeing Arleen Sorkin in a Jester costume. I'm sure people will enjoy her as just another character in the countless Batman villains. I'm sure nothing big will happen with her.
Its nuts that this book created by an author who draws actual erotica feels more reserved than some main line batman titles. Helana's new suit comes to mind.

I think this books came from DC putting some blocks on how sexy it could be mixed with the understanding that Harley is being manipulated into an abusive relationship.
Hey ComicPop crew, sorry to throw out a bit of a heavy story here, but I really just felt like I had to do a bit of sharing. Your channel has always been one of my absolute favorites, to the point that it was actually the first channel I really felt deserved clicking that "Subscribe" button and actually making an account to even engage a bit. Almost exactly a month ago was my 33rd birthday, and as bad as things in general have been for just about everyone lately, overall I have a decent job and had been taking (honestly, quite a lot of) much needed time on my own after an incredibly damaging relationship, and most luckily of all I'd always been in very good health (I had never been in an ambulance or been admitted to a hospital in my life, and I've always been an active person.) Even despite some incredibly hurtful (both emotionally and financially) family issues that have been going on, overall things were going all right and I was nearing content. Then, 7 days ago, I suddenly experienced massive heart failure and a heart attack which has cut the function of my heart in half for the rest of my life (which has also been significantly shortened as well). It has been such a surreal experience, to go from a clean bill of health to this situation. I know I haven't even really started to process anything, but being able to vicariously sit on the couch with you guys has been far more of a comfort than you guys, or even I, could have realized and I am truly appreciative. I'm about to be discharged today (I can't wait to see how freaked out my cat is going to be), so having an episode hosted by that realest of Zubes to help fill out the remaining time was a great surprise. I'm sure if anyone may have made it through this novella, it will have been Tiff, and I'd just really like to request, if at all possible, another of the books from outside the "norm" that you present so incredibly. Your telling of Wytches and Saga in particular were truly experiences which I (and I'm sure Ben as well) would love to experience again. So let me finally wrap up all my nonsense, and just say I love the work you guys do and I truly appreciate the entertainment you guys have given us, thank you very much and never stop. Oh, and everyone, as much as you may or may not appreciate the things and people you have around, start doing it more often, and start doing it out loud. Trust me.
The cosplay is adorable, by the by. Also, I love Tiff's time in the centre seat. She brings a completely new dynamic to the show and really bounces off the boys' reactions perfectly. I love Sal being the presenter but Tiffany's turns are a great change of pace. Especially with her choice of comics.
The fact this video is 2 hours and the book itself is like 3 issues long speaks volume about Sejic's abilities. I love him. I really wish he would write that Ivy book eventually when he feels better

Goddamn, I love a good Tiffany episode! Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Sal. I know I’m always going to be thoroughly entertained when Sal leads an episode. But there’s something about Tiffany’s storytelling that just hooks you in and NEVER lets go. I am 120% invested in this story!
It's probably that Tiffany only really comes on to host when it's a book she's REALLY passionate about/invested in, and that bleeds into how she tells the story

When they inevitably give Harley the Joker movie treatment, I think they will use this as base to work from. A lot of people are going to end up coming to the wrong conclusion when it comes to her and Jokers' relationship finding it all romantic.

An amazing book, Everything that was great in Paul Dini's origin of the character, while expanding on it to give Harley even more substance and credibility. I also absolutely loved the Harvey Dent sub plot

With Harleen, Stjepan Sejic does a masterful job of both weaving together and exploring the relationship between Harly and the Joker, making them believable and even likable, with the narrator's hindsight to contextualize the "fridge horror" of the "romance".
I always love how Tiffany’s episodes on Back Issues range from really deep introspective stories about characters/concepts...then stuff like Danny Ketch Ghost Rider lol

I remember when the art shifted and the details on the face and the facial expressions were so detailed and striking. Instantly fell in love with his art style. im definitley going to pick this up

However this episode absolutely turned me around on it and I'll probably end up picking it up!

I've always felt that intertwining Harvey and Harley's fall into villainy was a cool idea, maybe something like a Batman TV series could do something like that really well, so it was awesome to see someone actually did it in a comic, and honestly this may be my favorite version of Harley's origin.
I'm surprised DC didn't reestablish Poison Ivy as a victim of domestic abuse for the new52. The Floronic Man kept Ivy prisoner while changed her into his image, just like Harley. The only difference is Ivy never once thought her abuser loved her.
That "bridge of flower petals" splash page in... Issue 5? of Sunstone literally made me cry. It was such a beautiful culmination of story in a single gorgeous visual metaphor lovingly rendered. When he's on, Sejic is a real master.
One of my favorite quotes from B:TAS is Robin & Batman looking at files on The Bat-Computer, Robin then chimes in with "Another villain brought to you by a grant from the Wayne foundation" Batman just says "SHUT UP ROBIN".... HAHAHAHA

Stjepan Šejić's art is always worthy of an extended digression. His work on Aquaman was stellar.
I forget was he also the writer? Turning Arthur into Atlantis' Batman was brilliant and could have been a bold new direction for Aquaman.

I loved this series. I really hope his other DC books eventually happen.
That "bridge of flower petals" splash page in... Issue 5? of Sunstone literally made me cry. It was such a beautiful culmination of story in a single gorgeous visual metaphor lovingly rendered.
