Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning - Alan Jackson???????????
Ya
16 stitches by granger smith
Three wooden crosses by Randy Travis
I think Marry Me should’ve been way lower considering in the music video she comes back to him. Also Paint Me a Birmingham, When I Call Your Name, The Grand Tour, The Little Girl, If You’re Reading This, Go Rest High On That Mountain, Five More Minutes, and I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry are all also very sad
I agree with you about marry me and if your reading this...
Idk about the others tho
Whiskey Lullaby. 💚
Jeanette Durante I don't think anything could possibly top that. The storyline, the music video, and Paisley's ability with Alison Krauss, who probably has the greatest voice of all time
It’s good but I think there’s sadder ones
Just a Dream, Concrete Angel, and I Drive Your Truck were WAY too low
Don't take the girl! 😭 Always!
Yes that's #1 and #2 is already there
Ummmmmm you guys actually left TIM MCGRAW’S - “IF YOU’RE READING THIS” off of the list??? No Mark Wills - “Wish You Were Here”?? Really????? I could go on & on however i digress...I damn-near demand a do-over...
Lonestar's "I'm already there" brings a tear to my eyes everytime
Number 2 will always be number 1 👍 no one can replace George Jones RIP Possum 😢
Ryan Kelly absolutely 👌🏻 one of my all time favourites...superb song 😎
I don't disagreed but imagine fighting for your country to come home to a cheating wife and then drinking yourself to death.
Okay this is a great list, however two things in my opinion could be done. Im Already There should be moved up, tears literally flow so much when that comes on, and "Love, Me" by Collin Raye should be somewhere in the top 5. Sad as hell tbh
One hell of a amen or if your reading this
You had me at Brad in the thumbnail.
Glyn me to
How do you not have “Go Rest High On That Mountain” on this list???
My ex wife ran over my dead mom's dog and wrecked my 63 mustang. Good enough sh*t happening to be a country song?
My Number 1 will always be "How Can I Help You Say Goodbye by Patty Loveless. It brings tears every time.
I was missing Carrie Underwood's temporary home or Eric Paslay she's just lonely
Drink a Beer by Luke Bryan should be top 5 IMO. Especially after you hear the backstory concerning his sister and brother.
Wannabe Outdoorsman Chris stapelelton actually wrote it but its still a good song
Benny Featherston that Chris dude actally amazing
It helped me cope with the loss of my Papa (Duck) and my Mama
Im glad Whiskey Lullaby was no.1 Its well deserved. I cant believe there wasn't one Gary Allen song on here though. George Strait "Still Make Cheyenne " is a good notable mention. Hell if we are talking about REAL COUNTRY Music here then we are gonna need a much longer list.
#MCMGA Make Country Music Great Again.
I agree. Country went downhill as I grew up. I'm only 20, but I have a lot better appreciation of older music
Even the new song I like, don't even sound country, more like rock/pop
#TeamGary
@@JaneDoe-qf1kk agreed
John Michael Montgomery "The Little Girl"
Joe Nichols "The Impossible"
OK, I'm going to go very old school here: Teddy Bear by Red Sovine..destroys me, lucky if I'm not sobbing by the end. Also, Highway 20 Ride by Zac Brown Band can knock me on my backside if I'm in a low mood (but I love the song.)
Too bad Luke Bryan sings pop country, and not real country
Ian E He’s a country singer who sings both country music and a little bit of country pop as well also can all of the hate on most country artists please just stop just leave them alone let country music artists be who they want to be
If you’ve ever been bullied you will relate to don’t laugh at me by mark wills it will get you balling your eyes out
All were great. But…Broken Window Serenade is the number 1. Seeing someone you love in the mist of addiction and giving up on themselves/ life is so hard. And they portray it well.
Garth Brooks more than a memory should be on here
The Baby by Blake Shelton always gets me.
What about Cryin’ for Me by Toby Keith?
If I'm making this list Alyssa lies is top 3 for me, that song gets me every time.
Right it doesn't matter where I am a few tears will be falling 💔
EVERY TIME
Where the hell is Hurt - Johnny Cash???
A bad list, I can think of well over 100 songs before any of them.
THREE WOODEN CROSSES?????
That’s the worst list I’ve ever seen, most of those aren’t even real country 😂
Jesus take the wheel always made me cry.
Tracy Fellers great song!! 👌🏻🎼
Tracy Fellers 💖
Love Carrie Underwood. Her cool songs with a secret dark side😍
I've always felt she was so relatable
i lost it at i drive your truck, my my brother's ex who i was really close to, her boyfreind died in a crash less than a mile from my house
😢
Coward of the County - Kenny Rogers
I’m surprised at no Hank Williams or Keith Whitley. Wedding Bells by Hank should have easily been top 3 (look it up for yourself, you won’t be disappointed)
Don't close your eyes.
Any Gary Allan song isn't on the list because...?? He has had some really sad songs. Other than that this list is pretty good.
What do you think is his saddest 🤔
Taste of Country life ain't always beautiful, or today would have my vote.
Smoke rings in the dark or tough little boys
This Ain't Nothin'
THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYING. today, best I've ever had, watching airplanes.. just to name a few. "I think I've had enough" is one of my favs too
Alyssa lies should have been top 5
Carrie underwood
Tim McGraw's Don't Take the Girl was the first song of his I ever heard. It tears me up, it really does.
ronan
Old Violin by Johnny Paycheck
You don't love me anymore my Tim McGraw should replace marry me on this list...
Where’s if heaven wasn’t so far away?
I love sad county.
For me "Jacob's dream" (based om a true story") sung by Alison Krauss is the saddest 😭
Where the hell is Kenny Chesney’s Better as a Memory
OHHHH I LOVE THAT SONG
*Awesome, tear in my beer songs*
If heaven wasn’t so far away is a good one…
You forgot: The Dance (Garth), I'll Walk (Bucky Covington), Over You (Blake Shelton- live), Don't Close Your Eyes (Keith Whitley).
Almost home-Craig Morgan
The Dance is in a category all on its own
Let's see, #15 not sad, #14 not sad, #13 not sad, #12 not sad, #11 very sad good choice, #10 a little sad, #9 not sad, #8, not sad, #7 not really sad, more heart warming, #6 what?! not sad, just bad, #5 not sad, #4 not too sad, #3 kinda sad, more heartwarming, #2 a little sad, #1 OK, now we're getting somewhere. Saddest song of all time. Agreed.
Best of intentions by Travis Tritt should've been on the list
No Hank Williams Songs Really? I am so Lonesome i could cry, Tear in my Bear, Your Cheatin Heart, Long Gone Lonesome Blues, Lonesome Whistle etc. These songs are 100% sadder than most on the list. What about Murder on Music Row by George Strait and Alan Jackson? It's sad because it true. I found it funny most on list are artist of today.
Sad that real country isn't played anymore...it's all ppl from the city as a wannabe
This list sucks I don't even know why I even bothered with it. Why not call this the saddest songs of NEW country music.. Jones don't need your recognition. lmao!
Um "you're gonna miss this" - Trace Adkins ???? "believe"- Brooks & Dunn?????
forgot to mention alan jacksons where were you when the world stopped turning and garth brooks the dance. and swap the positions of drink a beer and marry me
List is garbage, If you came back from Heaven, Angel flying too close to the ground, Private Malone.....
And last kiss
Good list...I think you could also add "Green Green Grass of Home" - Porter Wagoner, "What Might Have Been" - Little Texas, "Ships That Don't Come In" - Joe Diffie, "I Know She Still Loves Me" - George Strait, "Go Rest High on That Mountain" - Vince Gill, and Let Her Fly - Dolly Parton.....
Keith urban - tonight I wanna cry, stupid boy(!!), Till summer comes around
Hey! Did you hack my spotify account? This is exactly my playlist! And now i'm bawling....
What about ‘Ronan’ by Taylor Swift? It’s a charity song about a boy who died of child cancer. I legit had trouble sleeping the night after I heard that song.
Drink a Beer by Luke Bryan should be top 5 IMO. Especially after you hear the backstory concerning his sister and brother.
What about Brantley Gilbert's Halfway to Heaven? I mean, that song makes me feel alive again after what I've been through.
I would change the order but I can not argue with the choices since I am tearing up as I watch it.
Me too I do love this song so much. How are you doing with your family Celil68 I hope you’re safe from the virus?
Where the fuck is Hurt by Johnny cash? That song by alone tops all of these songs for the saddest country song
Where I’m so lonesome i could cry
One of country music's saddest songs and not on this list? lmao
Cover Me Up by Morgan Wallen kills me. Watch the full video
You disraspected george jones by putting him among that group
bad goodbye, clint black and wynonna
theres a song by brooks and dunn, cant remember the name
#1 saddest song in country music is by "The Voice" Vern Gosdin.....Chiseled In Stone.
I didn't realize a lot of the songs that I love were banned
Walk a little straighter - Billy Currington should also be one!
Why “the grand tour” or “hello darlin” isn’t on this list I will never understand
Weather man by Willie and hurt by Johnny always get to me
Was waiting for Whiskey Lullaby to show up.
Guess nobody’s heard of Vern Gosdin.
I Drive Your Truck....❤❤❤
Brothers by Dean Brody makes me cry every time
Marry me hits home. Love of my life married someone else.
omg the lone Star song 😭😭😭
The saddest thing is I don't find any of these songs sad
Whiskey and you -Chris Stapleton
Where's "Chiseled in Stone?" That has to be one of the top 5 saddest songs ever period.
I was not expecting to tear up with this video. I knew all the songs and love them all too.
Why are they all live performances?
Farmerjon9660 probably for visual effect, you can see emotions etc when it’s live rather than just the recording.
Or maybe copyright idk
Number 2 should be one spot up
He stopped loving her today George Jones also
Where’s Baby Blue by George Straight?
Trash songs country after the 70s blows
Couple things wrong... The possum is #1 no debate. You forgot Mama's Hungry Eyes by Merle and Three Wooden Crosses by Randy Travis. And hell id say Seven Spanish Angels by Willy and Ray Charles is more sad than Three wooden crosses...
@countrygirl countrymusiclover ok
Long black vail should have been in there
How is Warewolves of London not in this list?
Travelin' Soldier, The Chicks
Christ is the ONLY WAY to heaven!!!!
Alyssa Lies should be number one!!!
No. 2 should be believe brooks and dunn
No “Over You”?
I know right!
"That's my job" Conway Twitty.
Um what about brantley gilbert - one hell of an amen. Makes me bawl everytime
Concrete angel should be atleast #2
How did drink a beer make the list?
the only problem i have is that 2 and 3 respectively are not 1 and 2. I think don't take the girl is more sad, but I'll compromise as long as those two are the top two
Dont take the girl has me bawling every time
