This is the new #MercedesAMG GT63, it’s PURELY V8 Powered only, and it’s the sportiest #AMG in the line-up. But with this new GT, the formula has changed in in a big way. Now it comes standard as a 4matic+ all wheel drive car for the first time, and its practicality is doubled with a rear bench and shared interior with the SL, and a much bigger boot!
Alongside that increased practicality comes a tonne of new options, which will make spacing this car quite a challenge! There's so many different types of car you can create, so today we go over the following:
- Aerodynamic package or Non-Aero
- 2+2 seat rear bench for the kids
- OR omission of the rear seats (Like the old AMG GT S and GT R)

The Hyper Blue Magno with the Platinum White interior is the BEST !!!!!!!!
Mercedes really have done an amazing job of updating this car it looks absolutely fantastic. My choice would be the blue with the chrome surrounds but I'd also opt for the rear spoiler.
The red is my favorite.

The sound is intoxicating! The only BIG challenge is the 911. From my humble point of view, it’s very difficult to pick the AMG GT instead of the 911.

I love that silver interior. The diamond stitching elevates the class of the seats. I would get the rear seats removed so I could use it for interior luggage space. I like the new blue but not sure how well it would go with that brown interior. White as good as it looks would be worried about clothing staining the color. Other options I would go with the sun roof and rear spoiler.
When does this show up on the configurator? Would like to get an idea on price.

Good morning from Australia! I speced mine on the German website earlier in the week. Magno Blue, white interior, and bronze looking wheels. I know the white is impractical, will probably go with the saddle.

Being an owner of the Gen 1 AMG, I know a ton of people who have them. It’s a smaller circle because they are pretty rare cars. I haven’t heard any of these people say they want the new generation over the previous one.

If you rear seat delete, does that vertical wall that sits in its place still fold to give you the bigger cargo area? If not, the seats are the no-brainer.

Good luck trying to match that satin blue if it ever gets scratched and needs paintwork. Most likely require a full respray. It is gorgeous though. 😎

The SL is such a beautiful car, but this GT takes it a step further. Not many cars can do that to the SL in terms of design 🔥
To the overall rather roundish exterior design of the new AMG GT a shiny „Ferrari Red“ or Black would fit best - in my view.
You can see this color spec on a presentation car in some YT launch event videos (with shiny Black in the front half and Ferrari Red in the back half; with the rear wing even in body color Red coated).
It looks just fanastic! 😍
How do you think the used car prices will develop in the future? Anything close to the king of retaining original value like the 911 or can I buy cheap AMG GTs soon?

I've just seen it in the flash at the the MB Customer Center in Bremen in Spektralblau. Unfortunataly it looks to me only like the little brother of the previous AMG GT. It just doesn't have this super flat, extremely long bonet, agressive appearance with a touch of heritage any more. It looks really good on pictures and videos but in the flash something is missing from my point of view. The platform seems to fit the SL better..
I have ordered my 2024 GT 63 in almost an identical spec as the Viper Blue Magno at the end of the video. I may be wrong but the interior is called crystal white.

I knew several people in the 80's in high school that had "frozen" paint. They simply painted it from a can and it has that frozen look. So when I see it I think unfinished, I think cheap.

Weird how Burmester doesn’t come standard on these, the base Mercedes speakers suck. On my 2017 e53 coupe with no Burmesters I was so dissapointed thinking it could match a non Harmon kardon 4 series or 5 series, it was really bad
The magma hyper blue with white interior is taking a page from M. Looks like frozen blue with a sandstone interior.
It is not a platinum white color of interior, it is Manufaktur crystal white/black

It’s a shame Mercedes doesn’t put a manual transmission so a Porsche 911 with a clutch will be the perfect gentleman’s car.

Yes it looks amazing however the previous 190 GT is better.
Lighter, faster, and more balanced with much better weight distribution. The new GT has no Dry sump motor. No transaxle setup. No Gtrag DCT. You’d think they’d start utilising the new Gtrag 8 speed like the new Ferraris. It’s a backward step imo.

Why do you use push on the windows to close the doors? Not good!
Once you start seeing "fat porsche"... it's hard not to see just a lot of fat porsches.
Mercedes are really good at materials, which saves these cars somewhat, but these are just a great C63 or amg version CLE coupe. Which is where the 2+2 volume market *should* be.
Instead they've hamstrung those cars, to then destroy their long lineage of 2 seater sports cars. Feels like a net loss across the range.
That's why the true highlight of this video was around 11:57 and the real Mercedes cars. Ie the distinctive two seat sports cars, with a legacy going back to 300 SLR days. That's what they chose as display cars.
People will still be ogling those SLRs and 2 seat GTs, instead of fat porsches, years from now.
They need to release a CL.
SL, GT, CLE, CL.

I think it’s such a shame that Mercedes hasn’t had a beautiful navy blue color. The most common colors are black and gray. Mercedes have a navy option for people who want blue but not the “look at me!” blue colors you have been using on GTs. Also not a fan of the Tesla- iPad style screen. I’d continue buying older GTs for that alone.

Honestly, AMG is sad about nobody really respect the performance of the C190 GT line up, even tho it really has the performance to compare to the 911s people just don’t care, they don’t care about the 47:53 Perfect weight distribution they don’t care about the wonderful trans axle DCT from magna, they just don’t give a fk how good they are, they will just think the 911 will always be the better performance car no matter how good the c190 actually is.
This is why the new GT decided to give up on all those goodies that was on the c190.
Ok the car is now 53front/47rear weight distribution (No One care)
Ok the car is now 800lb heavier (No One care)
Ok the car doesn’t have the Dry sump lubrication anymore (No One care)
Ok they move the transmission to the front and using a mct instead of a dct (No One care)
Yes Mercedes finally realized no matter how much they are faster then the 911s on nrburgring how much technology they put in to their cars, no one care at all, people will always think the 911 is a better performance car.
That’s why they think they don’t need the performance anymore because no one care, is not a 911.
