I met Rob at the outback in the midwest in 2022. I will never forget that moment. He was the first true celebrity I had ever met, but beyond that, he was a very, very nice guy. After the event, we had discovered that he was staying at the same hotel. Had a nice chat with him before hitting the road. The following year, I happened to run into him while at the outback. I had asked him about the rusty Wallace nascar he had purchased and where it was at. He didn't shoe me away, anything of that matter, he genuinely talked to me for several minutes. Such a nice guy. He will be truly missed.

@andersandersen6295 Until you truly understand that this life is just the start, not the end.
Not everyone gets faced with the end coming up really soon and they have time to accept Jesus, but we all have time now to accept him and believe on Him, and we will all die someday, and we all can start living that better life now by helping others, whether in their hardships, or with sharing Gods love.
Nothing Ed has done on earth, none of the cars he owns or will ever own, will ever come close to the impact of him sharing the hope in Christ with Rabbit. That love for his friend is just a glimpse of the perfect life we will have after death, when our sin and evil that hurts others and ourselves that we choose, and only lose when we accept Christ to take it away for us, is fully gone in the next life.

Rob worked at a Carfax near Dulles VA when my mom was getting a new vehicle. He was her salesman and I never ever forgot him because his voice and kindness always stood out to me. I was an awkward 15-something and he looked at me during the paper signing and said "Young man, you need a hat. A big hat. I dont have one for ya, but I think it was up to me to let you know you needed one."

It’s tough and I get not liking that way of preaching but I have a great admiration for those people. We are in end times. It’s a time now where people actually feel the need to hide theyre faith because we have been persecuted for Christian’s in dark ages actions. It is SO important right now in this climate to show people it is STILL ok to have faith in Jesus Christ. I know it can be very uncomfortable and it can draw immense hate. But those people who are not saved need to see there is way to be faithful and loves Jesus and handle the heat we receive for our beliefs. It is SOoo important rn for people to do this. There will come a time when the very last person saved will be saved. That’s how bad it’s gonna get. And just think of the difference between now and 25 years ago. 25 years ago evrryome was proud to be a Christian and would openly speak of this. Now people hide there faith. And Less and less kids are seeing the righteous path. So please reconsider your way of thinking regarding speaking openly about your faith sir. It is important for all those kids out there to see us shining in gods glory.

3 years ago my wife left me. I was hurt, I was falling into depression, I was desperate for something to keep the "bad thoughts" out of my head. Low and behold one day, I ran into a video of Robb on VinWiki and I was HOOKED! it was the first time I had laughed in weeks. Suddenly I had something to do , besides cry and blow up my ex wives phone up begging her to come back. For what it's worth, through robs honey covered gravel voiced stories and jokes he very likely ,at the time, saved a life, a 5 year Olds hero and my side job career as a car flipper. I'm now happily remarried, a father of a 5 and a 18 month old boy. I got some inspiration from him to stop getting emotionally attached to cars and actually start flipping them to stop hoarding my shrewdly negotiated cars and fund the nice projects. May his family find some peace in knowing the inspiration THE Rabbit is and forever will be, RIP Robb.

As a kid growing up in a house without electricity and running water, there are things you look forward to every week. A boiled hot water bath on Saturday night, and after Church on Sunday our family came home and would listen to our battery radio from Sears.
On this radio show was a fellow from waaaaay down south. His name was Jerry Clower.
This man could tell you a10 minute story, that took an hour to put you there, so you could feel it.
Our radio station stopped carrying him in 1988.
I found out Jerry died August 24 of 1998.
I thought, well the last of the good story tellers?
Then I heard a kid out of the backwoods of Texas, named Ralphie May, and my heart was happy again.
    Then he died 2017.
Then I found vinwiki thru Hoovies's Garage, and of course The Rabbit.
There I was 10 years old again, my eyes closed so Rob could paint pictures in my mind.
God damn, some people just step in shit, and come out smelling like money!
I liked him best for his love of his parents.
So it was time for the Rabbit to go?
    Go on Rabbit. RUN!
    Maybe we'll meet another day?

Rob certainly connected with people in a way we can all be certain was amazing. For me, I will miss all the stories he had yet to tell about his past, as well as those he would create in the future. For you, and those who knew him best, you will lose a presence which cannot be replaced. The world will be a bit quieter, a bit less fun, and certainly missing an unmistakable spark. I had no idea Ed was a believer. This makes me like him all the more. I'm so glad he was able to have that time speaking about faith over the past several months with Rob.
Rob was without a doubt, the best story teller. He will be missed greatly.

I saw the video shortly after publication on his channel so it was before the video guy made the comment of the hospice situation. I think he was probably still alive when they published it which is why he said hospice in the pinned comment and passed later as the title changed with his passing date. I like to believe him knowing we knew and us committing on the impact he had on let him know it was ok to stop suffering. Rip to real one though. The fact he’s number 12 on trending shows how much he meant to everyone.

I’m glad that stigma is going away. When I found out my mom’s cancer had come back a second time and far worse, I walked over to my best friends office, and just broke down. A good cry and hug were what I needed at that moment, and a big bonding point between the two of us.

Rob's video last night scared the shit out of me. I didn't put two and two together at first when he hadn't had a video in a year. And i didn't put two and two together that he had actually passed, just that he wasn't comfortable being on camera or couldn't speak. Man, this hurts like hell. He's a legend and tells the best stories right there with Christopher.
Rob, you will be missed more than you will ever know brother. I deal with severe Crohn's disease and have had 3 surgeries. Thankfully i don't have stomach cancer.
We've lost TWO legends this year to stomach cancer, the other being Mr. Toby Keith. I know you and him are up in heaven jamming and singing and telling amazing stories.
Rabbit, we love you and we miss you.

Wasn't expecting the spiritual ending. Wasn't expecting to tear up at the end. Without question, Ed's commentary is always great because he knows how to articulate a great story. Rabbit, on the other hand, is pure comedic gold and always makes you laugh at the end. Rabbit's energetic and feel good demeanor will greatly be missed.

man I dunno what to even say.... I usually don't get broken up about "celebrity deaths" per say, but finding out this morning that Rabbit passed away just hit me in a way I can't describe. I never met the man but I felt like I knew him. I loved his ability to tell stories and the way he spoke, and that "honey over gravel voice" is one I'll hear in my head forever. I loved his youtube channel and his stories he told here on VINwiki, and damn am I going to miss those now! But thank you Ed for introducing him to us, he was fantastic! Rest easy Rabbit, we love and miss you man.

But here I am in tears over your heartfelt words. God bless “Rabbit” and God bless his family and friends. And with friends like you, he had a bit of heaven right here on Earth. 🙏🏻
