    Steph, you didn't tell us what lens you are using.

      Hi Tracy sorry I missed that out in the video! I was using the Sigma 18-35mm for the 6K and the 12-40 Olympus for the 4K. Thanks for watching!

    Thank you for the info again Steph! Anyway you can explain the best internet speeds or the internet setup you have when using the Atem Mini Pro. You always get amazing quality!

      Hi Nando I have upload speeds here in Singapore of up to 20Mbps, pretty insane speeds. I usually stream at 1080p when I have such speeds, otherwise I'm happy with 720p.

    which lenses can provide zoom control with BMPCC 4K and is ther any Pan TIL Option available for this camera when using with ATEM Mini ...

    Weird that they come with no optics...but I have been to thrift stores where there are 2 dozen lenses sitting around for $4 each with that mount...Im curious how big the sensor is...and if there are issues with that form factor with recording time...overheating and such...and how long battery life is...

    • @StephLeeTech
      @StephLeeTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll be sure to address those issues in that video! Thanks for your input!

    Thanks Lee for this video.
    Quick question for you. I have a sony a7siii and I need a second camera for an additional angle. Its for a home studio for a youtube channel. I also just bought an Atem mini extreme iso. I have the choice of getting another sony camera of lesser value or a BMPCC like the 4k or 6k. Would would you suggest? Do you think the black magic could go well with the sony? Thank you!

    Is it possible to record the pgm and have multi view in the video assist ? Thanks !

    • @StephLeeTech
      @StephLeeTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Fatih the answer to your question is no - you can only record what is being displayed on your Video Assist. But the GOOD news is, my workaround to this is to still record the M/V, then crop out the PGM part to be used as PGM in post. The video, to me, is decently good enough to be used.

      Hi Gray yes for upload speed of 5.52 Mbps you definitely cannot stream in 4K

    I've very much enjoyed your videos, and I'll certainly be going back to re-watch them all as I ultimately invest in this ATEM Mini-Pro. I have a pretty popular audio only podcast and I"m trending towards also doing a video podcast version of it as well as adding some separate videos. I appreciate you asking my questions and here's one that hopefully isn't too dumb---- by having the ATEM Mini Pro for LIve Streaming video to YOuTube and/or recording regular videos---it puts less of an emphasis on your laptop memory because you're not using the juice on your laptop to power the stream or recording----is that a correct statement?

      Hi TBP! Great that you are planning to use the AMP for your podcast and make it into a video podcast version! A simplified answer to your question is - YES! For 1. livestreaming it takes the strain off your stream cos you won't be running any software during livestream, e.g. OBS because it is being handled by the AMP. Similarly if you are not recording and writing data files to your laptop it takes less strain too!

    Can the lens zoom work too? It has to be a special lens or any canon

    • @StephLeeTech

      Hi Arturo yes the zoom on the lens work.

    Thank you for uploading the awesome video! It is super helpful for me to understand what gears I might need for my TH-cam studio! But, I actually have a question!
    After watching this video, I am thinking to buy BMPCC 4K and ATEM Mini Pro for my need of both live streaming and better quality video recording functionality for my TH-cam video because I also need to share my laptop screen on my video. But I am wondering If my video quality (resolution, color, etc..) will be downgraded if I am going to record my video straight out of the ATEM Mini Pro that is connected to BMPCC 4K.
    And I am wondering if a video recording straight out of ATEM Mini Pro with BMPCC 4K has different video quality from a video recording through Black Magic Video Assist which is connected to ATEM Mini Pro with BMPCC 4K.
    I will appreciate very much if you can answer the questions :)

      Hi Timothy I'm glad you found the video useful! Do subscribe for more great content coming up.
      As for the quality of the video, for direct recording to the SSD from the Atem it is in H.264 format, which I personally find to be one of the best codecs now, small file size with good quality. IMO, I find it very acceptable and I would use it professionally for my work. Hope that helps!

      Hi Matthew that's why I recommend the BMPCC 4K! It's really great value for money.

      Fully agree, this is a fortune for those that are starting up to build their own channel.

    Great video mate, thats my dream setup hopefully one day haha, great comparison on bmpcc 4k vs 6k, can you also do a video on best solution for audio with atem mini pro, I have recently bought Rodecaster pro and will be buying Shure Sm7b, will be recording audio on micro sd on rodecaster pro which I think would give me better audio quality but some efforts post production, is there a way I can get beter or same audio directly from atem mini pro?

    • @StephLeeTech
      @StephLeeTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi VP! Thanks for watching my video! The SM7B is a very good mic but you need lots of phantom power for that, so do take note. Yes I think that is a good idea, recording the audio in the rodcaster instead of from the atem mini pro

    Thanks for this useful information. Just qot question, can we zooming in and out from the switcher ? And how is the set up to connect and communicate the atem mini pro to computer via ethernet cable? Thanks

    • @StephLeeTech
      @StephLeeTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can if you are using the BMPCCs. Once you connect via the ethernet cable you can access the Atem Software Control Panel. Hope that helps!

      @@StephLeeTech Thanks for the reply steph. So, We can zoom in and out from switcher regardless of lens we use? doesnt need motorrized lens? Thanks

    The recording monitor suits the Mini better than the pro...since you are not going to record multiview...and the 6K and 4K will not work on a 1080p input...so you sacrifice a lot here...My Sony CX900s are 1" sensors and optics built in...with ten hour batteries...so the sensors are 8 times the size of the BMD product...this is where money should go...optics and sensor size...the Sony CX900s are about the same price of the 4K...
