Let me say. Im 37y. I play pokemon (consoles) for 25y. Never played or had cards (Only Magic t G.) Learned to play with Pocket. And you are helping. Thank you.
Im now at lv 14. Made a Charizard, Ninetales, Moltres combo. Lose sometimes but I love it. My winning deck, and not my favorite, like fire or grass, is the water, with Bastoise, Lapras, Starmie and Articuno. I win a lot with these.

I run 2 charizard ex, 2 moltres. 2 sabrina, 2 pokeball, 2 pokedex, 2 oak, 2 xspeed, 1 potion and 1 hand scope. Being able to see what cards are coming up with dex is awesome. Especially when you have oak and pokeball, you can see if you should use oak or use the poke ball first which will reshuffle the deck. This has altered my luck so much and made the wins way more consistent. I can also forefit if i know a win is impossible sooner. The scope is also really nice. I tried doing 2 scopes vs 2 potions but one of each hit a sweet spot on flexible utility. Was able to get 45 event wins with no issues.
Try swapping the 1 Magmar for a Farfetch'd or something else. Magmar is really slow in the deck - both in energy for impace and in retreat cost. I've been running other things in that slot, currently Farfetch'd for more early pressure. You don't have trouble landing big hits with Blaine, you don't need magmar. Farfetch'd only having 60 health is rough but it's not weak to water and it applies much more pressure up front - which is synergistic. Opening Farfetch'd when going second lets put one fire energy on the brid to deal 40, then you can spend your second turn dealing another 40 while setting up a vulpix with your second fire energy. It also has a 1-cost retreat so it can get out of the way for ninetales next turn. Magmar opening would require 2 fire energy on it to deal 50 damage, and its so much harder to switch it out then build up its firepower again. Magmar is pretty darn bad overall. I'm not sure if Farfetch'd is the best replacement but it's much better than Magmar if you're going full Blaine Beatdown. Some people recommend 2nd Giovanni but I'm not a fan, the deck can already have trouble getting full value out of all its supporters and often wants to protect its ninetails from a sabrina.
Heatmor, is faster and just as bulky... but I think the best substitution might be Moltres. Molty is a (better) wall and will make sure all 3 of your bench Pokemon have enough energy for the rest of the game by turn 3.
You could try a Weezing Greninja deck. I’ve run it for fun and it’s been surprisingly good. Chip damage adds up quick from Weezing and with Greninja on the back line there’s nowhere for the opponent to run. I use dark and water energy so Weezing will put work in against Mewtwo. It’s also helpful that Greninja’s pre-evos only call for generic energy and Greninja only needs 1 water so you’re rarely punished for running two types of energy. I’ve dabbled with running 1 Misty to up the odds of getting water energy as well. The combo of Koga Weezing along with having no EX pokemon makes it really hard for the meta to keep the pace with you. Anyways, I’ve had a ton of fun using the deck. Maybe you could make a video on it in the future?
I'm using this deck on my alt acc and ngl im having more fun with it than with my pikachu deck, there's just something satisfying with crushing meta decks with a no ex deck.

I have 2 favorite decks at the moment: For general play Articuno EX/Starmie EX is my favorite deck, not just because it’s good, but because the only 2 star or higher card I’ve gotten so far since launch is Articuno EX’s rainbow border 2 star. @sandythamtono2081 I’ve tried that version as well, and I find having the bench chip damage can help pull out games more than Lapras’ stalling. A good example of this is going against a Mewtwo EX deck; 2 blizzards killing an active Mewtwo EX can set up a benched gardevoir to be one hit by Starmie EX or another blizzard + Giovanni from Articuno EX. Plus, having the 2 energy attack on Articuno EX can help beat early basics if you can speed up your energy by at least 1 with a misty since most of those sit in that 50-60 HP range.
@ I’m currently pulling in charizard, so there’s no point doing it now. If I pull my 2nd Starmie EX before getting the 2 Blaine’s then I’ll spend points.

Why does nobody realize how important it is to like the collections of your friends in pocket? You can do that each day, that means the player who owns the collection gets 1 shop ticket for free. Imagine 99 friends are helping each other out, you’ll able to buy the wonder glasses every month with ease. So let us be such a community and add me as a friend Update: sadly I tested it and the tickets are capped at 5. Thought I found a nice way for all of us to get the tickets faster.
For me to be able to like your collection, put something at spotlight and keep in mind to check if your collection or card is set to public instead of private. You can change that setting in the top left corner
@@furiousdestroyah9999 as far as I know, there is a cap on the tickets you get from the thank you from your opponents after 1v1 games. There isn’t a cap from getting likes for your collection, so sure you could just grind every day to get the 5 tickets each day, or, you could get them from your friends way easier and be ready for the new month ahead of time
This Blaine deck is so much fun. No Magmar, 2 Giovanni’s and you are doing boosted damage 4 times. Nothing beats winding up a ninetails and cooking a pikachu ex on the 4th turn
Love this and the Weezing/Arbok/Koga deck A LOT. I’ve gone like 10-2 since using this one. But I do think switching Mag for Farfetch’d or even Moltres Ex would be better. Farfetch’d for the early damage burst like you want to with this deck but Moltres Ex could help set up Ninetails and Rapidash even faster if you get stuck with it first - opposed to Magmar who can’t do anything useful like either one of those.
My favourite deck is either dragonite or this vileplume butterfree erika healer deck I've been using - really fun to get set up and turn momentum against people. I started out just running meta decks but realised I may lose more but have so much more fun playing the decks I enjoy
I've been really enjoying an Alakazam+Koga stall deck. It's nice because Alakazam kits like an EX against most of the meta decks, but isn't an EX. The only pokemon that can usually survive are some of the energy-cheap EX cards, like starmie and Marowak, but with a little help from a Wheezing poison you can do them in. The best play I ever had was when my opponent KOed my active pokemon with a giant bloom from venasaur, so I swapped out Wheezing, poisoned it, then played Koga to draw it back to my hand- swapped over to alakazam, hit for 180 damage, then the poison finished it off.
Favorite deck right now: Dragonite, Hypno, Snorlax. w/ 2x potion 2x pokeball 2x prof 1x Sabrina 1x x-speed. Drop the Psychic energy. Fun as hell, be ready for slower games by my win rate has been near 75% with it. Just so many opportunities to shut your opponent down while you get dragonite online and then the potential extra attack with dragonite due to a sleep is game ending every time.
I'm mainly running a blaine deck too, bonus that ninetales is one of my favorite pokemon. Been screwed over by draws before, not getting either Blaine or Ninetales til my last 4 cards but it's a fun deck to play for sure. If ninetales had just 10 more hp it'd be perfect to counter pika Ex (can OHKO pika without getting OHKO-ed by pika)
That’s gonna happen with the deck limit being 20. I hope they raise it to at least 25 or 30 when the next expansion comes. Keeps it below the regular TCG count of 50 but helps knock off at least SOME of the rng by letting you add more.
When the Lapras event came out I whipped up an event Mankey/primeape and Machamp deck just for the heck of it. It's been doing pretty good. Give it a try
My current favorite deck is Aerodactyl & Persian disruption, with Exeggcutor ex. The entire deck is a coinflip, but you sure as hell will annoy the enemy with it
I use a Primeape and Brock deck with both Onix and Golem. It was my most consistent deck during the 45 win challenge. Not running an ex is so nice to work with as you can sack mons off more flexibly.
Ive never played TCG before so this is my first experience with it. I don't know what I'm doing but I am having fun with my cute lil Pikachu Dragonite deck. I use closter also. Like I said idk what I'm doing but when I'm able to get Dragonite to pop off I love using Draco meteor
Hey Spragels love your content! Ive yet to see pidgeot/starmie decks out there. Would appreciate your spin on it! Mine runs 1 misty and 2 far fetche'd for quick aggression.
Melmetal can be surprisingly strong, though. Running it in a Wheezing shell myself and the only regulsr problem card is Mewtwo ex, though even thatcan be cleared with some poison ticks.
I often use Ninetales in my fire deck, at first mostly because I didn't have a second Moltres, but also because of Blaine and it's only 1 point if it gets knocked down. I also run one regular Charizard for the same reason.
I love your videos and ive been noticing you call stage 2 pokemon stage 1's for some reason i know it says on the card stage one but ninetales is infact a stage 2 pokemon
I've been running an arbok weezing deck with nidoking and 2 Persians. Largely due to card deficits. But it's performing pretty well. Biggest weakness is red card.
Dragonite and Frosmoth is definitely my favorite. It's a lot of RNG, but catching people off guard with it vs. any deck is so, so satisfying. And there's no way to hide from Draco Meteor once it starts. I've gotten 6 points with one attack before, even. Then Frosmoth puts people to sleep repeatedly, and if they're extra unlucky they're just struggling to do anything with their power pokemon out in front while Draco Meteor gets charged up. Is it consistent? No way. But it makes me feel big brain when I stall *just* long enough to get that one big hit off.
Lol what's funny is I just got this deck yesterday and I played 6 times with it already. Need to copy it B4 it goes away. My best card is the SR Sabrina.
I'm using aggro blaine with basic moltres instead of Magmar, and it works super fine. Retreat cost is 1, great HP amount, good wall for protecting ninetales and rapidash during first turn, and in emergency it could possibly take down anyone with his attack.
I’ve been debating using this or the Moltres Ex for the extra health and the ability. Extra retreat cost but could buy you time if you get stuck with a bad draw while also adding energies to your bench.
Favorite deck is hard but i would say marowak/weezing is pretty close to each other marowak feels like its always so good especially if you have a bit of luck with dugtrio protecet avtivation, and on the otherhand weezing just feels so nice to play
i started w/ the mewtwo pack n pulling mainly from there, but i opened a few charizard packs and got almost every card needed for this deck. i just need 1 rapidash and 2 blaine. cant wait 4 trading.
ik its not optimized or anything but since i only have one charmander and Charizard i run a hybrid char centiskorch deck and its surprisingly good. moltres can set up either one that comes to me and centi can deal with Pikachu, zapdos, starmies, lapras and articuno with gio, overall not bad.
Favorite deck is Blastoise EX x Golduck deck. I've tested out different set ups and the best one that got me wins is the one you suggested and I've been using it since. Misty kinda is a pain in the behind though 🤣😅😂🙃
I absolutely love the Team Rocket deck. Wheezing is such an amazing card in general with 110 HP, poison damage, Koga and especially *being able to attack*. One energy is big to quickly setup Arbok the ba line as you soften the opposition first. Couple that with Arbok and you can pull some really tricky situation where you force your opponent to either retreat in front of Wheezing and get poisoned on something else or take the bait and get trapped/Ko by Arbok. My only concern with the deck is the low damage output, where you deal at most 80 with Giovanni, Arbok and poison damage. If only Muk needed only 2 energy, then it’s be viable.
Yeah it seems that running Muk reason being to not get one shot as often. Muk has 130 hp pool and there isn't really that much stuff that can one shot it with two energy attacks. Most one shot attack toward Muk are three energy attacks or higher, Muk (poison) / Raichu / Zapdos ex (coin flips) / Marowak ex (two energy, coin flips) / Primeape (two energy, has damage, Giovanni) / Machamp (Giovanni) / Machamp ex / Golem / Rhydon (Giovanni) / Kingler (coin flips) / Blastoise (five energy) / Blastoise ex (five energy) / Arcanine ex (Giovanni) / Centiskorch / Moltres (coin flip) / Charizard / Charizard ex / Alakazam (150 dmg against three energy target) / Golurk (coin flips) / Mewtwo (Giovanni) / Mewtwo ex / Dragonite (rng) / Lickitung (coin flips). Grass deck / Metal deck really need some real one shot firepower now.
Favorite deck? 18 trainer arti- No, kidding. Actually, probably my most fun deck is a variant on a Mankey Scum deck: farfetched, Kabutops, and Omastar. farfetched x2 is the only basic card in the deck, so you're guaranteed it in your opening hand, then use that to apply early game pressure and build up your fossils. If either of the fossils get to stage 2, they're amazing stallers, and both out gives you a lot of options to shut down opponents. 2x of all cards: Helix, Omanyte, Omastar Dome, Kabuto, Kabutops Farfetched Potion, Research, Sabrina
My favorite deck is Charizard Ex. I like trying to stall to get to that 200 dmg for a few straight turns. My secong favorite is a pidgeot + flareon deck. 2 eevee, 2 flareon, 2 each of pidgeot line, 2 potions, 2 pokeballs, 2 x speeds, 2 prof research, 2 giovani.
Yesterday I put together two Zapdos two fossil deck and went a quick 5-1. Only loss was a Pikachu deck where I went first. I did beat a Pikachu deck going second.
2 Beedrill, 2 Venomoth, 1 Farfetchd, 2 Giov, 1 Xspd, 1 Erika, 1 Sabrina, 2 Ball&Prof. Deck is super fun!!! Everything attacks and retreat for 1 energy so you swap lile a mad man

Opened an alt art Blaine after watching this video so I had to build the deck. Thought it was horseshit but it’s not that bad. By Having only 5 mons it bricks way too often. I’d say a 5 out of 10 deck. It needs an alt vulpix that does damage and maybe a Blaine’s Magmar EX card to really shine

For me to be able to like your collection, put something at spotlight and keep in mind to check if your collection or card is set to public instead of private. You can change that setting in the top left corner
There is a daily cap of 5 tickets so unless you aren't planning on playing the game that day you should easily hit the cap without that
@@furiousdestroyah9999 as far as I know, there is a cap on the tickets you get from the thank you from your opponents after 1v1 games. There isn’t a cap from getting likes for your collection, so sure you could just grind every day to get the 5 tickets each day, or, you could get them from your friends way easier and be ready for the new month ahead of time
Ya there seems to be no limit to the showcase like rewarded shop ticket

Just watched the Brock/Onix/Slash deck video and its a GREAT deck! I've been having a LOT of wins with having 2x Golem in place of the sandslash
I've been using this deck for a long time, finally he makes a video on it
Just found my most favorite deck in the game! love playing Blaine as a surprise and hitting for 120
My favourite deck is either dragonite or this vileplume butterfree erika healer deck I've been using - really fun to get set up and turn momentum against people.
Appreciate the content. Pidgeot fav mon fav deck, maybe insight on pairing with omastar, arbok, etc
Ninetails, centi, and moltress is very fun. Gives the option to charge either option depending on what your starting hand is/circumstances
I love the promo mankey/primeape with marowak ex. has crazy (inconsistent) damage output and can cheese a lot of setup decks
One of my favourite deck with Primeape/Sandslash. The pressure those decks can put on ex decks is untrue. My Primeape hasn't lost to Mewtwo yet 😊
I'd love to see how you'd run an aggro heliolisk deck. I've been running a fast aggro lightning deck and it's been pretty fun to play
Keeps it below the regular TCG count of 50 but helps knock off at least SOME of the rng by letting you add more.
fav deck so far is machamp ex with promo mankey into primeape. surprisingly good!
When the Lapras event came out I whipped up an event Mankey/primeape and Machamp deck just for the heck of it. It's been doing pretty good. Give it a try
My current favorite deck is Aerodactyl & Persian disruption, with Exeggcutor ex. The entire deck is a coinflip, but you sure as hell will annoy the enemy with it
Blaine is my fav deck by FAR! ❤ used it to climb to my gold trophy
I think my fave deck right now is weezing/muk/koga. It got me to 45 wins, smashed through Mewtwo, and even handled pika super well.
I use a Primeape and Brock deck with both Onix and Golem. It was my most consistent deck during the 45 win challenge. Not running an ex is so nice to work with as you can sack mons off more flexibly.
Alot of people are complaining how strong basic EX pokemons are. Yet, this deck can out play alot of decks without any.
I’ve been using a deck with 2 Arboks, 1 Wheezing (until I get a second Koffing) and a Wigglytuff EX, been very fun and is pretty consistent
Steel type needs more support in this game and I hope they add the metagross line for it.
Ngl I've been playing this deck for a couple days now and I think it's my favorite
I love Starmie build its easy to set up and dance around your other mons in and out lf battle and not get KOed but with all the pika decks.
Hi spragels, my favorite deck by far is new primeape deck with marowak!! Really coinflip aggro tho!
thank you ive been winning tons with this
Dragonite and Frosmoth is definitely my favorite.
Personally, I've been having a lot of fun and success with Pidgeot+Greninja. It's my favorite deck so far.
Favorite deck is hard but i would say marowak/weezing is pretty close to each other
marowak feels like its always so good especially if you have a bit of luck with dugtrio protecet avtivation, and on the otherhand weezing just feels so nice to play
i started w/ the mewtwo pack n pulling mainly from there, but i opened a few charizard packs and got almost every card needed for this deck. i just need 1 rapidash and 2 blaine. cant wait 4 trading.
ik its not optimized or anything but since i only have one charmander and Charizard i run a hybrid char centiskorch deck and its surprisingly good. moltres can set up either one that comes to me and centi can deal with Pikachu, zapdos, starmies, lapras and articuno with gio, overall not bad.
My favorite is Wings of Ash, Moltres EX Centiskorch and old amber. The one you played on stream today.
Favorite deck is Blastoise EX x Golduck deck. I've tested out different set ups and the best one that got me wins is the one you suggested and I've been using it since. Misty kinda is a pain in the behind though 🤣😅😂🙃
I’ve been running a dragonite frosmoth deck, I’ve put some fossils too to help with Sabrina
This is one of my favourite decks!!!
Yeah muk is just too expensive to be viable most of the time
With the new mankey, it shut down entire koga stuff.
And ninetails + blaine one shot it.
I'm running a deck with arbok and pidgeot it's pretty good so far I think only weakness is definitely power.
18 trainer arti-
No, kidding.
2x of all cards:
Helix, Omanyte, Omastar
Dome, Kabuto, Kabutops
Farfetched
Potion, Research, Sabrina
My favorite deck is Charizard Ex. I like trying to stall to get to that 200 dmg for a few straight turns.
My secong favorite is a pidgeot + flareon deck. 2 eevee, 2 flareon, 2 each of pidgeot line, 2 potions, 2 pokeballs, 2 x speeds, 2 prof research, 2 giovani.
I love this deck. I run the Farfetch version will have to try magmar.
I enjoy Kingler deck! I don't know why more people don't play it!
Exeggutor ex/Butterfree deck is my favorite. Def not the best but it’s fun and I’ve been pretty successful with it
Yesterday I put together two Zapdos two fossil deck and went a quick 5-1. Only loss was a Pikachu deck where I went first. I did beat a Pikachu deck going second.
2 Beedrill, 2 Venomoth, 1 Farfetchd, 2 Giov, 1 Xspd, 1 Erika, 1 Sabrina, 2 Ball&Prof. Deck is super fun!!! Everything attacks and retreat for 1 energy so you swap lile a mad man
My favorite deck is Dragonite with Jolteon and Articuno (non EX). Puts up pressure while prepping Dragonite
this is 1 on my favorite deck. because this is the only deck that gives u advantage going first(aside from misty) because of low cost rapidash.
Exegcutor EX goes crazy going first too.
Starmie, Blastoise, Greeninja Water type deck is by far my favorite just because of my undying bias towards water types
I enjoy watching your videos on Pokemon pocket above all others. You’re mature demeanor is much what I prefer than the overly excited, and most often, unnecessary shouting. It just comes off fake and annoying. Anyways, keep up the great work!
my favorite deck is dugtrio sandslash and 1 set of machamp ex. It's so satisfying walling mewtwo with a successful dig.
For favorite, I gotta go the Blaine deck. It's so fast to set up, and does a ton of damage too.
I really appreciate this deck because im so tired of the slow set up Charizard, mewtwo, and ANY water deck with miss-ty
I like Blastoise, I've run it most with Frosmoth... right now I'm using Pyukumuku for bulk too but I'm sure Kanga or Lapras would be better.
Would love to see your spin on Aerodactyl + Pidgeot. I'm trying it with Misty and Geninja
Ps: forget the Misty
Currently can't decide my favourite from greninja/starmie ex or pidgeot/arbok, both feel great and a tad more interactive due to the abilities.
Favorite deck so far has been Dragonite with either Kangaskhan or Weezing.
Favorite deck is Arbok and Weezing, each game I feel engaged with decision making unless if I get Mistied and cry inside.
Mine is melmetal stall deck, i hope they'll give love to steel in next expansion
Marowak EX and Primeape is probably my favorite deck atm
Watching Articuno EX decks rage quit twice as often now - the usual Mistyquits, and now being down 2-0 turn 4 thanks to a Ponyta Xspeed switch into surprise Ninetails + Blaine 😂. Nothing better than seeing them take a 15 second look at their choices and concede.
I run a Blaine deck too but I swap out rapidash for flareon and its pretty sweet that way too
OMG this whole time I thought when it says “stage 1” it was referring to the picture below saying “this is the stage 1 of this Pokémon” and didn’t even consider the possibility that the second evolution is called stage 1…
I think my favorite deck is gengar ex hypno, it's very disruptive and can lock down opponents (if things go perfectly lol)
Favorite deck so far is steel bisharp bisharp mawile Lapras double misty only steel energy it’s pretty fun high risk high reward doesn’t always work I have like 90% of every deck but nothing works all the way for me yet
Tentacruel and Frosmoth is a pretty fun deck. It's pretty surprising cause you don't have Ex, you have low cost energy and retreat. Poison and Sleep. Very annoying. 😂
I think you should run double Giovanni for aggro decks because you wanna rush them down quick.
I love running Nidoqueen and Nidoking 😊
Fav deck so far is the Koga, Weezing, Arbok deck..
Sounds like a shitty luck. I’ve used it today and went 13-2 with it and hardly ever bricked.
@ sounds like you had a lot of luck my friend 😉🍀
My favorite deck is Blastosie EX Starmie, I just love water decks.
