    For the people with a level, I Ordered the Roush Fox 2.0 setup from American Trucks. It was shipped to my house in one week. After I Installed, I searched for tires and chose the all new Cooper Rugged Trek tires. These Coopers are a Hybrid tire and are aggressive with 18.5/32nds of tread. I had a few choices that would work (in real world off-road situations). On stock 20” Rims, I could go 33x12.5 or 275/65R20 (34.65x11.25). As I drive the truck in the winter, I chose the taller skinnier tires. The truck ended up 7.5” taller than stock, and performed better than expected when off-roading. It also is a dream to drive on the road.

    • @TheCOWBOYRANCHER
      @TheCOWBOYRANCHER 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Zero rubbing means zero rubbing on the sides when the wheel turns. If your wheel is moving back and forth instead of up and down then you have bigger problems. The truck has enough clearance to go over bumps and rocks when off tossing.

    • @AV8R_1
      @AV8R_1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheCOWBOYRANCHER zero rubbing means with the suspension fully articulated (one side fully compressed and one side fully drooped), vehicle under its own weight, normal tire pressure, the steering should be able to go full lock to full lock and the tires roll freely and touch nothing.

    • @TheCOWBOYRANCHER
      @TheCOWBOYRANCHER 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sir I know this was a while ago but I just ordered a new 2022 F150 and I have seen where people say that you can fit 285/65r20 ko2 on the stock rim with no leveling kit whatsoever and zero issues. On my 2021 2x4 SuperCab XLT Sport I just installed on the 20in Dark Grey OEM Wheels a35" tire... 295x65R20 Nitro Nitto Grappler. Made in the USA 🇺🇸
    Before doing so I installed a 2.25" leveling spacer on the front struts... Truck is perfectly level now.
    No rubbing. No trimming.
    The tires are super quiet. My mpg on a road i drive daily went from 22mpg to 21mpg. So id guess there is about a 5-10% loss in fuel mileage.
    I have the 3.73 rear end so the pickup is still pretty fast but not as fast as it was with the stock 33" tires road tires.
    The Nittos look really premium. Fill the wheel wells but don't protrude or poke out. The ride height is a little higher along with the ground clearance.
    The equivalent tire height is 35"

But I certainly don't want to pay to have the kit installed, then again to have it adjusted from 1.5 to 2.0 if it runs off road

    Hey guys! I’m ordering a 2021 F150 Lariat FX4. I’m wanting to put a 2” level kit on it and put some A/T tires on it with the stock 20” sport wheels. Will a 295/60/20 fit with no rubbing on the stock wheels? Thanks y’all.

      I just got 35s put on my leveled 2021 F150 a couple of days ago. They fit with with the smallest bit of rub on the front passenger rear crash bar. Using a hydraulic RAM i was able to push the rear crash bars back a couple of inches and I didn't have to do any cutting or trimming on at all. It can also be done with a bottle jack and bar or strong length of wood. Feel free to leave me contact info if you want more details. The tires are Ridge Grapplers 295/65/20 on a 8.5 inch wide rim with a +35 offset and I have a 2 inch level. The tires are 35.1 inches and 11.6 wide.

    I would go with the 35" tire with a 4" lift kit just to play it safe on a 22" Rim.. on my Current 2019 F150 i got a 3" lift kit with 35's and no rubbing issues..

    Great information for those that are on pavement and have flat driveway aprons maybe, but as soon as the tires move up at all, they look like the are rubbing in the back.
    You guys do dyno testing and great reviews on other stuff, why not drive this thing up on a set of ramps or use some jacks to show articulation?
    Oh, and always more sidewall. 20-in and bigger wheels with hardly any tire looks like trucks that skip leg day and only drive to malls. And I know plenty of people get trucks as family haulers and they will never see dirt, but that's certainly not my use case or taste preference on looks. That raptor set up looks sick. I worry a little about the stock gearing and a 35-in tire though

    • @americantrucks
      @americantrucks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You're 100% right- and while we did do some minor driving with each set to confirm what I was saying, going further with testing such as articulation is a biggie. I don't want to offer excuses but I will say its something we will certainly work on improving in the future. -Justin

      @@americantrucks to be fair, I don't know of anyone testing tire fit that way, it would be great to see though. You guys are the first place I go for anything F150 parts related since your reviews and installs are so damn detailed, thank you for that. About the best resource I have found is F-150 forums. A few people have put together spreadsheets showing what will fit with what kind of level or lift. It's good but again you're often left wondering if it didn't rub in a driveway or if they drove it a little or if they actually took it off road. And that Custom offsets site just isn't my taste, too many 20 and 22" wheels with rubber band tires.
