    295/60/20 in these Yokohama's were the biggest size I could squeeze into the wheel wells without having any rubbing issues, or having to trim any of the plastic air dam. These actual tires measure 34.2" in circumference, and all tires are different, so just make sure you check out the actual specs of your tires. Also, the truck does have a 2" level on the front, which gives more clearance, so without a level i'm not sure if these would fit without having to do some trimming.

    I have a 2021 F-150 FX4 with a 2 inch leveling kit and same size tires 295/60/20 with no rubbing at all. I went with the Atturo Trailblade XT tire and have been very happy. It’s like a mix between an AT and MT. I love them and they are super affordable

    Now that you've had the Yokohama's for a few months, would you continue to recommend them or go with something else? Most likely going with these but still debating the Falken's new AT4W. Thank you for your video. It's literally the only one I've found that is this direct.

    I'm running a 2022 Lariat with the exact same sport rims, the trouble I'm having is finding information on the widest that you can go. Looked up the Yokohama LT295/60R20 and they have a width of 11.7 inches, do you know how much clearance you have from the upper control arm with that width? Really set on 33" Toyos but they only come in 12.5 inch and can't seem to find anything that says what the max size would be without having to put in spacers.

    Hi.. You seem to know better then I do. I am new to this. Is your truck 2wd?? I am getting 2.5 leveling kit installed this week on 2wd stx. I ordered 295 60 20 today but now I am afraid it might rub. I don't want any modifications such as trimming or offset. You think I can use 295 60 20 on 2wd with 2.5 leveling kit.

      My speedo is about 2mph off now at 65mph. I can always “forscan” it, just haven’t gotten around to it. Don’t have to mess with the headlights. These have a self leveling feature built into the max tow package that keeps the lights pointing down correctly.

    I've been running 295/60/20 Cooper AT3s on my '14 F150 on stock suspension since I got it. It came stock with 18s. No rubbing whatsoever and I get a much quieter ride and to me looks better than it did on 18s. The only difference I've noticed is my fuel mileage dropped from 24mpg to ~19mpg (if I drive conservatively) when I got the bigger tires. Big difference but hey it's a truck, I didn't buy it for fuel economy.

    Good stuff. A few quick questions though. Using the same terminology comparing the two tires, the "35" terminology, what size would the 295/60/20's be, 34's, 34.5's, other? Thanks. As for tire selection, I'm currently loving my Falken Wildpeak AT3W's, especially in wet and snow, and they are surprisingly smooth and quiet on the turnpike. You referenced not like their price increase, but putting price aside, how would you compare what you have here versus the Falken's? And lastly, if you offset those a bit more, a bit more poke, would that help or hurt, increase or decrease, the clearance, avoiding rub? Thanks.

    • @BrianWatersOutdoors
      @BrianWatersOutdoors  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      All tires are slightly different, but mine measure around 34.2” technically. More negative offset usually means more chance for rub in my experience on the outer fenders. I did really like my Falkens, but I think these Toyos have a slightly more aggressive look to them which I like. They are just a hair louder at highway speeds compared to the Falkens though.

    It's my understanding that the "rub" problem is with the front and rear crash bars (and of course the valance but that's an easy fix). I keep seeing that the 2" lift spacer makes the difference. How though? Please explain. Because it doesn't change where the crash bars are. Unless the bigger tire is rubbing on the inside of the top of the fenderwell, how does lifting the front a mere 2" fix the crash bar issue? I would think wheel offset and/or tire width would be the real deciding factor. And if lifting the crash bar 2" in order ti fit bigger tires is the solution, what happens during any sort of suspension compression? Wouldn't the rub occur then on a constant basis?

    if your tire shop couldn't tell you exactly what would work, you are using the wrong tire shop

      They told me it would rub, just weren’t sure just how bad or how much trimming I’d have to do so they put them on for me to see if I wanted to go with the 35’s. I’m glad they did because it made my decision pretty easy 👍🏻

    Get you some mudguards from Ford to protect that baby from rock chips. We have them on my Tacoma and the wifes brand new Rav4. Damn cars cost too much to not protect 'em !

      What kind Of “poke” do you both have? The stock seems to be around 11/2 inches receding into the fender. Would like to get even or out a little without a spacer. Thanks!

    33x12.5xR20 will not fit without a level kit on a stock F-150. They WILL rub! I just went through this in real life and it cost me some money. Don't make my mistake. Has someone tried 33x10xR20? I removed my front crash bars and am willing to bet this size won't rub.

    the title is misleading when a few minutes into the video you say you have a 2" lift.... lol what is the point of talking about stock at that point?
