How both sides of the body work together for best results. Interesting concept
Doug knows his stuff.
RIP Ric---always appreciated your enthusiasm and dedication to the fitness industry and a stand up individual for humanity.
More Doug please. He has totally changed the way I train. Ric, your advice is precious too. Thank you very much both.
I have developed my chest and shoulders to a hole new level do to his training principals he's amazing
I love these ramblings about different training techniques. Every time I get something out of it and think "hey, next time I'm in the gym I'm going to try that" Thanks for the great videos.
doug is always very polite and tactful when Ric incessantly talks about himself and how much he used to lift lol
Thanks Doug & Ric. I have been training with Doug's principles (exercises, frequency, split, supersets & reps etc.) for a few months now and would recommend these workouts to all. Thanks again Doug.
I like listening to Doug. He really is very knowledgeable teacher.
I agree completely with the hammer curl assessment. It's a much stronger position and puts much less stress onto the joints but overloads the muscles you're trying to work. I like doing standing barbell curls with the "tricep bar" where your hands are in a hammer position
Fascinating Captain Brignole !
This isolates the training even more so, this one arm training.
I’m doing it, but only one hard work set to failure like Mike Mentzer recommends.
That’s with a lighter warmup first of course.
Feels great, no need for extra sets.
These videos are priceless!!! Thank you and RIP, Ric Drasin....
That single arm lat exercise is by far the best lat movement for me as well
After listening to Doug my shoulder and chest workouts are so much better without the ware and pain. Good person to listen to. What happened to Jerry?
I've been sticking to Doug's teachings of decline bench for chest and pulling movements for shoulders, no longer have shoulder pain, the guy is a wiz
Such a pleasure to hear many of the Gym 'myths' destroyed.
Doug should be on rx muscle iron debate show with chris aceto and dave palumbo
+jerry ce o yes.
Always great when Doug is on the show.
Doug is a total badass!!!
Some great advice on bio-mechanics of weight training from Doug. Even the best movement for lats and biceps. Thanks Rick and Doug.
Always preferred hammer-curls because of the forearm incorporation but they probably only encompassed 1/4th of my bicep work. Going to bump that up to maybe 2/3rds or more. Great info Doug.
Doug is the man
"Always" a very educational video when Doug's on board...Ty Ric!!!
Doug is always the best!
Great info as always a pleasure to watch. Doug when is your biomechanics book scheduled to release? I'm waiting in anticipation!!
I first learned about (what Doug calls) "cross-education" as a music student in college. My trumpet professor noticed I was having difficulty with a particular passage in a solo; he had me practice just that passage for a week using the opposite (left) hand. The following week, I tried it again with the right hand...ta-dahhh!
I've also used this in my Krav Maga practice, switching from a right-hander fighting stance to a left, practicing strikes and punching combos "southpaw"...& it works!
Hey. Ric, you and Doug should address "Steinerism". I am in my mid-40's and this scares the hell out of me!!!!
Great video Ric. I have been using Doug's rep range for a couple months and it works great.
Great stuff on bicep curl safety! Hammer curls are safer.
Doug is great! Little to much talk on biceps. Love to hear more on the big muscles, thanks guys:-)
Doug is awesome great video Ric !
Doug is the man , rich I love your show big man , just in bed now up early to knock out back and biceps
Doug is on point keep em coming!
just wanted to ask when his book will be coming out.
Both gone. Always enjoyed these videos. Rip guys.
Does Doug have a channel?
Ric, when is Doug bringing out his training book?
doug is the man
Really, really good information.
Thank you for this..Fascinating .
Lecture on labs on test but get someone that can expand on it
You should do one on how bad cross fit is
Very informative video sir
can someone post a link to the site? I'm not sure Passion Fitness is even online anymore
I move both dumbbells up simultaneously during bicep curls... not 1 at a time...
Is that wrong or?... I focus on matching the exact movement of one arm to the other and I find it's more difficult to do that with 1 at a time..
Ric, please more guys from 1970's , greetings from hot Sydney !.
Im dead clown.- rick
How lose my test lev in my blood ..
