One of the low key qualities he has is that he knows when to attack and when to shoot from range. If the opponent has a taller rim protector you can bet the over on his 3s. If the other team is small ball you know he is cutting tot he rim. Sweet video
Darius has ALWAYS had a strong basketball foundation as far back as elementary school. I've been keeping up with him since then. His father, Winston Garland, was an NBA guard, so Darius having a strong basketball foundation early on, in my eyes, due to his basketball background. His handles has always been tight, a great shooter, a great playmaker and high basketball IQ. I believe it was more about adjustment to the pro level than inefficiency. Every player has, had to, and will continue to adjust when they enter the NBA. once he adjusted, his efficiency improved. However, he's a very fundamental player.
surprised to hear his TS is league average because when you look at the 2p%, 3p%, and ft, it's at 51/38/89 which is amazing, especially for a 6-1 guard
@@yunan9610 Many guards his size are worst at the rim. His finishing at the rim is typical. This dude just has high standards for guards finishing at a high percentage at the rim but that's very difficult when you have bigs meeting you there.
@@j-us-t_be-in-g I'm just saying that might've been the cause for his TS% being on league average even with how efficient his split stats are. The number of FT attempt could also be the cause, it might be so low that it doesn't really bump up his true shooting percentage. With that being said I don't know the actual stats and I just pointed out the rim finishing cause it's on the video, but idk if his standards are high or not unless I have the actual stats for the best guards in the league. Well, since he's in Cleveland and not named Lebron then more likely than not he'll have a VERY quiet career. Multiple all-star seasons for sure but quiet nonetheless.

the Cavs have a dope roster and it's thanks in large part to how stupid the Nets are 😂 they gave up Levert and Jarrett Allen and basically ended up with Ben Simmons

DG’s Playmaking is truly insane I’m glad you dived into it and this was the best analysis I’ve seen of Garland. Great Vid!

You deserve far more subs! You literally make the content I love the most: player breakdowns. Keep up the good work!
Really interesting, well made video. The Cavs are really exciting.
Keep making the garland videos because they will blow up this year
Keep in mind Garland doesn't have spacing yet. His best catch and shoot three point shooters were Lauri and Cedi who both shot around 38 percent.
now hes got them, kevin love, ochai agbaji and a returning collin sexton. we’re gonna see some fun dimes from him
W Garland video, would be cool to see a video on Desmond Bane or on Jamal Murray/Michael Porter Jr to hype up the Nuggets next season
I love Garland, excellent video.
amazing video i love garland praise
Garland-Mitchell is going to be BONKERS. Holy shit.
If this guy becomes cp3 2.0 with that supporting cast, i’d be damned
I agree. He reminds me of a young CP3 without the defense

The Cavs run a 3 big man lineup with Lauri at the 3.
