At age 54,,,,,,,,Lara is still very active, her voice still grandiose , her look spectacular, She,s got a new world tour starting in april 2024, mostly Europe and mid/Asia after in June its in Canada Ottawa, Montréal. Québec city and Trois-Rivière, I've got my tickets for the 2 shows in Montréal, can't wait.

@@RexAlfieLee Don't forget Canada. We adopted her as a Quebeker in the 90's and she's still part of the culture here. She was even a coach on the voice in Quebec. I still understand why you could say she's underrated. She had everything to be as popular as Celine but she was not even if she had a certain popularity.

Yes i agree with you about Walter Afanasieff, i think he wanted to marry Lara, but then he broke up with her, what an idiot! Just yesterday i saw an interview with her from 2009, where she said that other people always left her when she loved very strongly and that she rarely left someone. So now we know why she writes this heartbreaking lyrics so emotional.
@@danielakeller7532 Walter left her because Lara got sabotaged by Celine's team and Sony in USA (we finaly know about sabotage from Lara herself) and he was a snake that wanted to stay relevant. She said she would like to go back in time and slap herself for geting involved with him. I am so glad she got out of that ego land and made of herself what she did. Only sad that many people in USA missed from knowing her

Dear Sabina 🌷thanks for the tissue warning because I needed it. Lara is indeed a master of her voice, her use of the intake of air is so effective in emoting pain. She’s also a good actress - her out stretched arm reaching for something that is no longer attainable. The whole experience literally ripped my heart out 😭. Such a talent! I want to hear them together one day. I don't know enough of Lara's work to give her a proper assessment, but she has an undoubtedly fantastic voice. It's just the song didn't get to me. Might need a few more listens. 👍
@@ChrisPage68 She's such a technical and performance master, I've come to the conclusion she is very much a kind of vocal chameleon. She determines what the story needs and with her incredible control delivers down to the phrase and even word. All that to say: she can sound very different in different songs. What kind of music is more to your taste? Maybe we Lara stans can recommend something from her catalogue for you.

Sabina, I truly have enjoyed your Lara Fabian reactions (however it's been awhile since you've done another Lara). The reason for my comment today is that Lara has a number of concert dates coming up this fall in Europe and given your situated in Denmark I thought you and your friend would enjoy experiencing her live. If you check on Lara's website you'll find all the dates / locations. I was fortunate to see her this past month in Montreal and even though this was my 11th time seeing her in concert over the years, it was truly fantastic. I don't think you will be disappointed if you are able to attend one of the performances.

Very underrated singer because she was denied a career in the USA (up to each one to find out why). To my surprise, slowly the anglosaxon world is finally discovering Lara Fabian.
You can have a very successful career outside the US, there is seven billion five hundred million people outside the US. A great thing about the internet and TH-cam, it helps to break the cultural wall surrounding the USA.
