Anyone that has been in the 3d printing hobby for more that a week could see this is to good to be true. You are dreaming that this will ever be released in a working condition if at all.
Ask for their business license number and research the number to see if it legit, they also have to have a federal I.D. number both of which are public record. Scammers usually don't have either. For the final cost of $2,400, at 41% discount, the final cost is around $1,400. Unless you have a business print farm, it would be a very long time before I could break even on recycling my poop and misprints. The size actually seems about right what is needed to build one of these; however, you're spot on that the rendering of the machine is off. It's like doing geometry, the problem diagram on the test does not mean you can look at it and guess at the angle or distance of the line, you have to do the math. Today rendering is used about sixty percent of advertisement for all new products so we'll all have to get used to it.
You can do a preorder and go bankrupt after paying wages and taxes completely legally. Doing crowdfunding legally though is kinda hard without the service providers(ks etc). The problem in grassroots field is that often first sets aren't legally anyway but the people do deliver. Its the renderings and preorder combination without showing insides thats the red flag
I feel for you! I just spent $400 on a gaggiuno V4 I hope it's not a scam, and I came to the comment section to make fun of you but then I realized you got scammed out of less. I'll cross my fingers for you and me.
I was about to back this project untill you, uncle Jessy and reddit convinced me to wait. So thanks for that! Also, this could have been a bigger project if they went through Kickstarter. But honestly, we should get a group of us to design one and launch our own!
Especially as you are resigned to losing your money. They rely on people saying it's just a hundred bucks and write it off to experience. edited to correct typo, thanks to BlueBearOne for kindly pointing this out.
@@KeoPrints I got scammed impulse buying a portable hard drive. It turned out to be a usb memory stick in a plastic case with chunk of steel glued in to give it weight. If only I had googled it first, there were many TH-cam videos. I put it down to experience.🙂
What D-Flo's videos on filament extrusion at home. He has a relatively expensive prosumer system and even then it sucks. Sucks to prepare, clean, and the filament produced sucks.
sorry about your very probable loss. they dont have any previous product to prove they can actually bring anything to market, and they dont have a prototype to show and prove that their machine can actually do what they claim.
Yup. It sure doesn't look good but who knows... we may be surprised and it may end up being fully legit. I don't think I believe that deep down but it's fun to think about this actually being a real product.
Scam. They MAY have had good intentions, but no croudfunding platform, and lip service. At best, they had good intentions. Maybe they've never done a consumer product before, and didn't realize just how daunting that process is. They're probably huddled in a corner with the due diligence information, shitting themselves. As you said, time will tell, but the runway to release is long, and these folks have already failed to start the engines.
I'm slowly building a print farm with Bambu printers it's slow going financially next time you want to invest I'll be happy to add it to my farm funds. Lots of electrical work to a 1914 house to run and other expenses every penny helps lol I can't guarantee I can make you a CFO if I succeed but you never know. I'm not serious but if you want to I'll take any $$ you want to throw at it
Yeah they're pull the old string em along...and they're definitely presenting the "illusion of transparency". I seen Uncle Jessy's vidoe and though yeah looks like some bs but this vidoe definitely proves it.

I'd like it not to be a scam, we really need filament recycling in this hobby/ business.
Agreed but who knows what’ll happen here
@KeoPrints I'll learn from you, and it will allow me more time to justify the price tag.
