So tapping on a sketchy link in Safari by mistake is ok as nothing can actually be installed on the iPhone without one of those certificate pop ups or unless it’s from the App Store. Is that correct? What happens if u half download a sketchy link and never saw the nature of the malicious website?

apple doesnt take it seriously u can still upload payloads that are fully FUD to IOS software .

He’s not telling the truth he’s straight Lying I’m a find the person I seen it like a month ago and then I forgot what it was but I’m gonna find it a few minutes the guy actually does cyber security and went to China for his work and they actually would not let him keep his devices when he was in the building doing whatever he was doing and when he got home to the United States he is the people he works with what was the best to use that scans for spyware and he shows you and then deleted it

That was great, thanks. I have a concern. Yesterday I downloaded an mp3 from a certain website. As soon as the download began another tab opened. I immediately got a warning from Norton that this was an unsafe site. Curiously the site had no content. Is it possible to have downloaded spyware just by visiting the suspicious site? I’m on an IPad iOS 16.3.

Big question. So I think my pc got malware. It change my chrome search engine to YAHOO. I saw that I need to factory reset my pc. I use chrome on my IPhone, so you think the malware could’ve made its way to my phone too and I need to reset it too or my phone should be fine?

I clicked on a link to a video in comments on a post in FB, but immediately backed out before video played thinking it was iffy! I then saw a comment warning everyone that it was a hacker and not to click on the link! I was on my iPhone 8, is my phone now hacked, or could My phone have spyware, virus, malware on it?
Nothing is perfect but for me, a save walled garden is one of many reasons why I prefer Apple products. 👍
I have a question that maybe you can answer. I was given a company Iphone that has company software. They can control what apps go on or off of my phone remotely. I told them I don't want the phone if they have the power to tap into the camera and remote view me without my permission. My manager assured me that that wasnt the case. Frankly I do not trust him. My last job was cut throat and the managers would remote employee phones just for gossip. Anyways, I was in a sensitive meeting yesterday that my manager knew that I was going to. I tried to open my phone but had no control over it. The camera app was running and everything looked distorted. My suspicion is that My manager was tapping into my phone and remote viewing the meeting. Is there a way that I can know this?

I am getting strange ads on my instagram. Mostly from Amazon, which I use all the time so their ads are pretty accurate to what I like... but lately.. I am getting ads for games I don't play, men's tools, products for kids and cats (I don't have either).. things I would never search for. Incase someone hacked my account i changed all of the passwords for all the accounts I could think of that use the same email address. I'm still getting weird ads as well as accurate ones... is there a chance that something got hacked and I don't know about it?

I am also curious if based on the following description you think that I got hacked. I opened a PDF that I shouldn’t have on my IPad. Shortly after I had a few problems with Twitter. I don’t believe in coincidences, so I thought that I might have been hacked. As an aside I always keep IOS up to date. I don’t have this problem on my IPhone.

Could your iPhone be jailbroken without your knowledge? I use a log security app that is supposed to detect things like this and one afternoon it gave me a starve alert. It said "jailbreak Alert". And my phone hasn't been the same since. Iphone

Temu isnt necessarily a virus but it is very sketchy and it well known for taking your info. Id check your files, calculator, passwords and cache on safari for any malware and delete temu
When i go into safari, it always tells me to do captcha which makes me paranoid because a reason could be spyware or malicious malware

What do you mean by “jailbreak” your device?
It’s something that some users do. It allows them to install apps from outside the App Store and tweak aspects of their phone that Apple doesn’t allow. For example, showing widgets on the Lock Screen. But by doing so, you’re opening up your phone to different attacks because the jailbreak has to bypass the security restrictions.
Every time I am talking to my friend on his cell phone on my house phone, a third friend's phone number shows up on my house phone's caller I.D. during the calls. Is there a spy app in my friend's cell phone and the phone number of our friend monitoring the call is showing up on my caller I.D.?
I let someone fixed my phone, when I got it back it has a green dot on the front green and it acting weird.
What if someone has access to your ph and passwords or is a trusted ph to your apple account. Like a boyfriend. What are the odds then and how do you tell?

That is the privacy indicator. It’s letting you know when the mic is in use. It’s a good thing!
What about that app where people send you a text message and if you click it they have access?

i ordered a referbed iphone 11 pro from amazon renewed.
I have gotten many iphones so i know how they look.
But at start of the ihpone a window pops up and say voice assit is active / press the home button 3 times to deactivate.
I have never seen something like this. I mean it works fine and model number begin with letter M its so all good there.

What if you went on a website and it says “your iPhone has been hacked!” “Take action immediately!” And you click ok and clear history and data and the only thing that changed is your battery is draining faster. There’s no spy ware I made sure and there’s no adds or pop ups.

On theses days you can be in surveillance on any kind of phone. It can track your movements, recording upfront and back cameras, phone calls, your daily travelling milage, your walking speed, pulse beating on distance, recording keyboard typing, webpages you’re visited on, interference with other devices on the range as well as your charging device or charging cable.
If you can think of it, it probably has been done.

FYI: Apple now has on device photo scanning that will send you photos back to Apple, regardless of your consent, so Apple officially have spyware integrated into their device.

the other exception is somehow your macbook or other apple computer gets hacked and uses a fake developer account to put your iphone into developer mode, and the test app is a Ui so you think everything is fine (except for apps crashing and screen resizing issues) and even the genius bar shows everything is fine because it is except your interfacing with a test app in a virtual machine that uses proximity location data to switch out of it when for example you go to an apple store... YOU can detect tho... by checking your file systems... Im dealing with this ... i dont know how to get rid of,..,. and im not a big company nor am i an important person so i cant seem to get help... and this is beyond the skills of an apple genius bar person...

Clicked on a website and it redirected me and then a notification came up that said “your phone has been hacked action must be taken immediately “ I believe it was an Apple notification. I clicked ok then killed the browser altogether. Hope I’m good

This really doesn’t tell me how to determine if there is malware installed currently. It does tell how to reduce the likelihood of it happening.

I disagree with you. I am working with a health group and agreed to requirements. In the agreement was the where going monitor my iPhone. After that it would shut off or run the battery down in minutes and restart this went on for months. Apple doesn’t like google in their phone. Even now keyboard doesn’t work properly. Camera flashes randomly. There’s no more updates for my apple 6s .

You don't need to use some shady site to track your husbands i phone anyway as long as you pay the bills on those accounts there are options. I've had E-mails about people saying Pegasus is installed on my devices, and they have videos of me. I know it can only affect iOS but I'm still scared about writing this comment, I have less than 48 hours, please help.
Clear your cache/website data on safari, check your files and delete sketchy ones, check your calculator and do the same, check for any sketchy apps, and if its really this bad id suggest going to an apple store for help or any tech store
Also dont interact with them at all, they could be trying to get you to download something or click a link which would give you a virus
