I'm pretty much right there with you with both the brand and the competitor campaigns, however I have one client that only wants to run competitor ads as he wants to just gain more exposure for his seasonal business. The campaign doesn't do that great but he does like to see his ad appearing 😂

Haha! I definitely have some clients that really enjoy being above their competitors

I think it’s completely trashy for others to be using my personal legal name- not my business name! I work hard!

Ya not cool when they put your name in their ad copy! And against Googles terms

What can you do when you see competitors do use your brand name in their ad copy?

A couple ways, running a brand campaign and checking auction insights, or use ad preview tool

hello Sir i hop you are very well, Sir how i can use competitors brands name in google title line.?

    • @RyanSuchit
      @RyanSuchit  ปีที่แล้ว

You cant add their names to your ads - its against their terms and conditions. You can target their name as a keyword, but not in ad copy

@@RyanSuchit But sir, advertisements of some advertisers are running.
They're using competitors' names in the title line of Google ads

Ya some get away with it, but its still against Googles terms so I wouldn't do it

From my experience with working SASS they are often to take the edge over competitors terms. They are very much relax on ad budget but I always say NO to the small budget client to run campaign in competitors brand name as you said.
Do you think running brand campaign is a good strategy even if no one is targeting? Google flex their match type and now we see a lot of clicks are s coming in competitors terms even we don't target them to the campaign. So the same thing will happen with my brand. To protect the top position I think this is necessary.

Ya SaaS are big on competitor and brand terms! For service based businesses, if the client has budget and theres people showing for brand even though they aren't targeting, Id probably run a brand campaign!

@@RyanSuchit I even found exact match keywords are getting found on competitor's name! This is awful.. So for the local business campaigns, if the business has good brand queries I added them under ad an ad group under the main campaign.

Not to mention, Google is hiding a lot of the search terms these days!

Can i use Google word along with the other keywords in the headline? Or googlesearch as a keyword ?

Great question. Ive tried in Canada and didn't work. Google search might work but I tried "google ads management" keywords and Google told me I wasn't allowed but Ive heard other countries you can. And I see people get away with it too in Canada, but I wasn't able to

@@RyanSuchit thank you for your reply. I tried as well and I got a policy violation. Then I changed the keyword.
