Next to the upcoming Damansara Damai MRT station, also sandwiched between several highways, such as NKVE, LDP, MRR2, and DUKE, this project seems to be leveraging on a mature address and infrastructure.
From a town planning perspective, this part of development were inserted with the compliance elements such as community housing and the power grid system. But as time goes by, this address evolved to be in the centre of all the action and Sphere Damansara is at the fringe of it.
In the building, my favourite spot would be the swimming pool area. It's so rare to have such an experiential space, even in projects above this budget. Also, I like how the developer strategically emphasis elements that are important. That extra door as a security feature at the corridor, the layout that can accommodate a private section for bedrooms and the dressed up lobby when you enter the building via the car park.
I just appreciate the effort in differentiating the project from the surrounding using architectural treatments like landscape and floor heights and these attracted several tenants to setup their business which complements the lifestyle of the residents.
However, the concerns of the office hours traffic is still inevitable in this area.

Hi Sean, great review as always. Anyway as a current resident in SPHERE Damansara, i’d like to point out 2 cons that i’ve found since staying here. It’s regarding the bathroom in the master bedroom. As shown in your review, the master bedroom bathroom is open concept and only using glass door as shower screen. So even if you are using blackout curtain for all the windows, around 7am the room still gets bright from the sunlight coming from the glass wall of the bathroom. And another thing, since the bathroom is basically connected with the bedroom, it’s like you always open your window and the noise from outside is very loud and can sometime disturbs our sleep, especially with the construction site of the mrt, the sound of lorry or motorcycle, and mostly during new year when people play fireworks

Another in depth peek into an interesting project. The developer should be congratulated for being aware of the project's surroundings and coming up with creative ideas to make the project unique and stand out from its surroundings.

Hi Sean, would you be able to provide some advice for units facing the highway? I noticed that the noise from the traffic below is always an issue if you leave the balcony door open. I remember when I tried renting out my last unit, the potential tenant was really interested in renting it...until he opened the balcony door and listened to the traffic noises. He ran out of the unit immediately thereafter. 😣

Do those lift lobby grills with electronic locks also work in every emergency situation? Does anyone know?
I am currently renting in Sphere. The grill at common space area on each floor has a small side grill portion that is simply lodged into the floor from the inside. It can be released should residents need to leave & the electric locks dont work

For units facing main road with heavy traffic, there is really no point having a balcony which leads to noise pollution. Why not just thick window class n more spaces instead of a not much use balcony ?
