A young child walked the beach at dawn and noticed an old man ahead picking up starfish and tossing them into the sea. Catching up with the man, the child asked why he was doing this. The old man explained to the child that the stranded starfish would die if left in the morning sun. “But the beach goes on for miles and there are millions of starfish,” exclaimed the child. “How can your effort make any difference?” The old man looked at the starfish in his hand and then threw it safely into the waves. He turned to the child and said, “It made a difference to that one.” -Adapted from The Star Thrower by Loren Eiseley You are the Star Thrower.

My husband finally went on Christmas. He is diagnosed with Liver failure. They found a 10x10cm mass and some small masses on liver. Sorry it's so long and it took me so long to let you know. You keep on shining and helping others, I will always follow and watch. God bless you and your family.

Big hugs, I'm really enjoying your videos and the way you explain things. It's helping me understand what my brother was dealing with. Sadly, he ended up with liver cancer and just with all the symptoms, he passed after a 2 year battle with all of the symptoms that were affected by the cancer treatments, it was just too much. He loved Christmas, and he passed that morning. He made it to his favorite holiday. But I have no doubt about what you're saying with all the different people you are helping right now.... those of us who watch someone deal with this, we know it's hard, but now I feel we have a chance to truly understand. It is so healing, and I'm happy to have a chance to support someone who is on the journey to a healthier life, too, that means a lot to me. So you are in my daily prayers, and I hope you have a great evening!
First... I am really sorry about your brother. That is such a sad story. But, I am happy to hear that he at least made it to his favorite holiday... it's mine as well! @@liverdisease-qb6rkI really need to visit Clayton, I’ve been meaning to. No worries on the comment deletion haha. That comment was 100% uncalled for and people like that are just looking for a reaction. Blocking them immediately I think will serve you well in the future. Love your videos, thank you for what you’re doing, and I hope that your health can improve and you can get back to doing things you enjoy with no limitations!
Thank you for sharing truly matters & so do all of us. We matter xo
Thank you for the comment! You all do truly matter and I care for everyone here and hope nothing but the best for everyone struggling with this disease! Thank you again! God bless
Alcohol definitely is a generational family curse , the liver is an organ that has an amazing ability to recover if given the chance
It really is, and that really scares me. I talk with my kids about it all the time and even though they are young, I want them to understand that they are genetically set up for it and how important it is for them not to drink. Thank you! God bless!
God Bless You for all you do. My sister was diagnosed at the beginning of January and you sure do put stuff in perspective. Ugh. I hate alcohol. I have seen too many ppl I love be sucked in by that devil. Alcohol is poison.
God bless you too, and I'm so sorry about your sister. I hope she is ok. Thank you for being here! God bless
Hi bro thank you for a good video
Hello! Thank you so much for watching! I am nothing without all of you guys support! God bless
Love your content. I feel like I am one of your “OG’s”. I’m so worried though, because you put out so many videos, you are sure to burn out. We don’t need this many from you. We want to see you around for a long time.
Thank you! I'm an og? Damn! That's really cool!!!! It's completely ok. I have to keep busy and this is a way for me to do it. Trust me... if I don't, I'll spend my time doing something else. I am the type of person that cannot sit still and I really need something to channel my energy into. Thank you for the concern! That really means a lot to me! God bless!
@@liverdisease-qb6rkyou ve created a real beautiful community here friend. Much love.🫂
@@liverdisease-qb6rk 😋 No I was saying that I am an OG, meaning that I was one of your first subscribers “back in the day” before your channel grew. ✌️🫶
Hindsight 2020 man...had I KNOWN that Alcohol would do this to me I NEVER would've picked up that first drink and I would've quit years and years ago
Man.... you're not kidding! I remember the first time I got drunk.... I was drinking orange mad dog and I felt like I could take on the world. Smh.... all I did was destroy my world. God bless
@liverdisease-qb6rk man!! First time I got sick was off of Mad Dog 20/20! Then I started drinking St. Ides special brew and graduated from there....looking back now I never should've taken it up. My dad is 72 and STILL has 3 shots a day and a 20oz beer...just insane
You have so much strength and determination, man. I couldn’t imagine working 12 to 16 hours and then drinking all night. How in the world? Alcohol can be utterly merciless. Isn’t it interesting how it’s the most socially accepted drug.
Thank you for watching! And tha k you for saying that! It really is.... and on top of it one of the most dangerous as well! Thank you again! God bless!
Self Will Run Riot
I’d have a sponsor who’d say
“How’s your way working for u?”
I hated every second but she taught me a lot.
Good morning. Thanks for this video. I had to go to cardiac doctor. He told me I have dysautonomia. Been reading up about it. Started taking magnesium. I am 60 year old gramma.
I'm so sorry to hear that. Hope things improve for you. Thank you for watching! God bless!
Listening to all that you are going through and went through has honestly made me not even want to drink, even if it's once a year. Even my sister condition didn't wake me up because I wasn't really around her to see how much hell she went thru. She is 1 year sober doing much better I hope you get back to your old self one day sending prayers 🙏
Thank you so much! Glad to hear your sister is doing better now. And good for you! It's just not worth it in the end. Happy new year! God bless
thanks bro!! day 2
Thank you! That's great!!!! Just so awesome to hear!!! Good for you! Best thing ever! Keep it up and keep me posted on how you're doing please! God bless
xo keep pushing through. Swear it gets better. ❤
That's amazing Jay. How you feeling friend?
@@steph7960 anxious, empowered and good with no hangover!! Thx
@@jaybirdwolfe277 proud of you. Just remind yourself, the negative feelings will subside with time and the positive increase? The cravings will take a bit longer, but you re on the right track. You re doing amazing, without sounding patronising. Addiction is one of the most difficult journeys a human can go through. So stay in touch, let us all know how you re doing friend.🤗
Have a nice evening and much love ❤
You as well! Thank you! God bless
Love being out in nature.
I find peace beauty & God in nature.
Like u I thought relocating to Tx w hubby at 36 will solve all my problems. Thousands of miles away from fam just the 3 of us.
Cancer happened a month after my feet hit the ground. I brought my addiction with me. However, used the meds for pain literally. It worked.
We can relocate but life has a way of sneaking in the back door too.
The hurt and pain is inside us no matter where we are.
Thanks for another great reminder 🎉
Omg u r funny too!!
Oh and horses??? If only.
Wow what a dream
Yes... nature really something special! Im sorry to hear about the cancer, especially after you moved and tried to get away. Thank u for watching again! I appreciate everything! God bless
@@liverdisease-qb6rk right? Ugh sucked however I made it through.
I carry the gene brca2. Physically I look normal. The medical ptsd is something that’s followed me here.
Houston isn’t good for people like us.
Miss my “spot” back home.
I know if I would have stayed in Cleveland, I would probably be dead from addiction or the b cancer. God has such a big plan I know it. God has saved me more times than I can count. I don’t know why though. Anyhoo where u record looks like heaven to me.
Thanks again & Keep it up!
You are going to be ok 🙏🏻
I just know it
@Kristen976 thank you so much!!!!! I know all about the medical ptsd. I have severe anxiety now when I have to go have anything done. I get so scared. I have woken up so many times in so much pain. I always get sick after I wake up too, even after I have asked for Zofran before I wake up because I get so sick. I am so scared of throwing up now due to the amount of times I have burst my varices. Anyway, thank you again. For saying I'll be ok! I really appreciate you being here and always commenting. God bless! New video is uploading right now.

Just remember you aren’t alone in being scared going in for a test or waking up.
After COVID hit my anxiety’s been so bad.
I won’t go to the doc now unless something is wrong.
Your fear is something I know about.
I can pull it up and tears just start.
I was 36.. now I’m about to turn 51 tomorrow. You’ll look back on this stage I promise. Your busy changing a generation
When i worked constrution back in the 80s every single day when we were fished for the day the boss would have a few coolers of iced down beers waitig for us
I knew a guy back in the day that worked construction and he said the same thing. Thank you. God bless
Maybe u should go to the doctor sooner than later? Not right to be in pain and suffer, that's miserable... Hope u are feeling better soon! Thank u 4 sharing your life..it matters!! Much ♡!
Thank you! I'm going in just a couple of days and will be in the hospital for a few days. The dr that I need to talk to is the one doing my procedure as well. A counselor once brought Up the concept OF " Risky behavior " with me --- I"m by no means an adrenaline junkie -- and it all happens in shades of gray, but yea ---- risky behavior is what I thought of with your white water kayaking, intoxicated. I am convinced our brains are different from the general population. IT's great to see different perspectives once we have distance from things ----
What kind of work were you doing?
I was a fine dining executive chef. Thank you! God bless!

Not sure what the context is that you are talking about?
All that surger in the soda your drinking You probabable would have been better off just drinking a beer
Not sure what you are speaking about here. I do not drink sugar soda at all.
So maybe yours was sugar-free
