This is definitely from back when Walgreens had staff behind the photo counter.
every Walgreens I've been to has staff there, but you have to stand around and wait for a while. They even have a push for help button.
Of course that was when getting actual film developed was still a thing. Nowadays most people store their pictures on their camera or phone.
Awww, my son was 9 months old and loved Barney. He's an AEMT/firefighter now lol.

The early 90's how I miss you so much from the music to being a kid and watching TGIF playing SNES going to the movies felt like a big deal. Everything was just better and it's not even close nothing is perfect in life or ever will be but the 90's in general felt as close to perfect as it could get at least for me.

My sis my best friend had just died young of cancer. We were struggling to find the joy and did last minute shopping at Walgreens down the road. It saved us. Walgreens now is only a shadow of what it used to be. :(

In the 80s and 90s we weren't creeped out by everything like today. As matter of fact, the folks being video taped probably thought it was for a research project or news channel and didn't go full Megladon Karen on him.

Okay nowwww I feel more connected with these videos. My clearer memories of the 90s begin in 96 around 6 or 7. All of this from Barney to Barbie in a sort of packaging and technology we have isn't as alien to me as say the 70's or 80's.
Days when people had respect for oneself and others. How I miss the good old days!
Where I live today, we have to ask to buy cigarettes (although I don't smoke). It is a great thing now to keep the wrong people from accessing stuff like that! I'd wish we'd go back to simpler times like these!

Walgreens now has a sale, but I can only get the same price If I buy it online. So I ask once, so I go to the car, order the items I need in the app, wait 15 minutes, then come and get it. Bit ridiculous, for some reason they’d rather you buy online and not shop in the store.

I had one of those Barney dolls. I would have been almost 2 months old when this was filmed. Barney was the best.

I was just a lil keed in 93, but I remember some of this junk- probably was still floating around Walgreens for years to come. This reminds me of something I still to this day never got used to; Our newer Monopoly style money- 5, 10s & 20s. The old bills had a certain legitimacy to them. The newer one's just suck.

Alot things stand out in this video first: I have been working retail for the past 20 years never once have I seen a walgreens this pack. secondly I'm amazed about how much stuff walgreens sold in the past you pretty much buy anything there, last 5 years I remeber walgreens sold cigarettes they pretty much removed them all, thirdly video quality on this tape is pretty good clear picture watching on a 4k looks pretty good.
Walgreens had everything at that time, now they don't have sh!t.

I have no problem with Walgreens but it seems like an odd place to do Christmas shopping. Maybe in the 70s or 80s before the big "all-in-one" stores, sure, but in the 90s and onward? Just feels like a strange choice.

Why is it that americans don't use recharable batteries. A question I am asking myselfe for years. Batteries included.... oh yeah wow how long do they last? 3 hours and then you walk to the store to bye another pair for 3 hours...I don't get it It feels like recharchable batteries weren't available in the us 😂 or they are too lazy to recharche them....or am I completly wrong? By the way it feels so good seeing those faces from my teenager years. People where more interactive with each other. That was life. Not watching at your phone all the time.
The reason ppl can watch their phone all the time to begin with is because rechargable phone batteries allows them to have 24/7 stimulation/interaction thru technology 😐
