I just read something by a doctor with a Double Phd. One was a linguist of ancient and dead languages. He said in the Bible. The book of Genesis. There was no word in ancient Hebrew for Universe. So they used the word God. So God is the universe. Our universe created everything in it.
Equivalent to the big bang. There was the void before God. There was Chaos before the Universe. Same thing.

@RegimeNemesis Deuteronomy is not the same as Revelation. They have 2 different authors, from 2 different time periods, in 2 different areas, talking to 2 different audiences, making completely different points. The Bible is a collection of Books divided by the old and new testament. The people who get mad at deuteronomy completely disregard the fact that it's basically a book telling you what was considered acceptable during that time period. Its not talking to you or the present day audience. Exodus is a history book.

One thing that doesn't add up is God being Almighty has to have His angels fight the devil , Satan. When G9d old easily irradicate the devil . But His angels have to fight ???
I like to think of the whole thing as a metaphor or allegory for situations and influences that are beyond our ability to comprehend. This is the closest our brains can understand to the truth. Maybe? Just my opinion.
How is it, that so many people don't realize that what they call "The Bible", started as a collection of stories, written by men, and compiled by the original "popes" (yes, plural. Originally, there were "popes" all over the Middle East and Europe) of early Christianity. There were votes on what to include, what to discard, what to rewrite (for their own benefit), and what to completely make up? How is it, that these people can't see that all early religions, including Christianity, speak of multiple "gods". Even the "Old Testament" speaks of multiple "gods", using humans to fight their wars. It seems to me, these "gods" were just as likely to be beings with superior technology to that of early humans. Not "space aliens", per se, just more advanced beings of older societies. If you go back, and read older, and older, Bibles, the story changes, from what modern Bibles tell us. But, no one will even entertain the idea that anything other than what they learned in childhood Christian indoctrination (Sunday school) is true. I am not trying to be offensive. I am curious about the truth behind the tales. What we are told is "truth", doesn't make a lot of sense, nor does it answer any deep questions. And, it presents many contradictions.
There are no such thing as many gods ,only one God.If you dont believe it,wait,until you die..you will see for yourself.
I think asking people to look at things this way is asking them to tear down their entire worldview, and that is terrifying. In the end I think Christianity should be a positive force in the world, because at the heart of it is Jesus’s message of love and compassion. When people twist it to their own agenda or get hung up on details in the Old Testament is when I think there can be problems.

The Hebrew bible, Old Testament mentions the story of Lucifer, an angel from heaven, now Satan, a fallen angel to earth whose a prenatural demon. And the other angels, who fell and are renamed demons.
They existed before humans. And anyone having access to the Old Testament and New Testament had access to the stories of Satan in both books.

I liked this video, and subscribed. I disagree with a couple of the stereotypical views of Metal, but, all in all, you got a few points out, that I hadn't heard before. And, I am always interested in learning about how different religions from all over the world tie in with each other, as I have been doing a somewhat amateurist research into that very thing. And the discovery of items from one continent, in another one, across a great ocean, at a time that we have been told that the heighth of contemporary technology was a pile of rocks, a few sticks, and some bronze that was mysteriously invented by these barely beyond troglodite protopeople. I look forward to watching more of your vids!

I would not say that Pan is the origin for Satan. The concept of the "Accuser" existed separately among the Hebrews. The imagery of Pan was absorbed into the cultural depictions of the Christian understanding of Satan, but did not itself originate it.

My Native American Indigenous Ancestors had 1 main Almighty, Our Creator or Great Spirit of all Living beings. Every Tribe had their Name for Our Great Maker. Hello.. it wasn’t the “Early Christians” converting pagans,it was the cult known as the Catholic Church or then,Rome. The same group who hunted down “early Christians” and burned them at the stake,also. Occulted history always fills in the blanks and explains so many other things. Jesus seemed to be a Taoist that understood the inner god and Heaven but the Jews didn’t like that so they got Rome to do their dirty work (same reason they’re still chasing the 10 scattered tribes across the world,pushing migration to destroy us from within)
The early Christians consisted of Jesus’ family, disciples and family elders, and they all built a country and called it Europa (modern day Europe)

@@thepostapocalypse Sorry, but no. "Roman Catholic" didn't really exist until the 3rd or 4th century. Early Christianity was incredibly diverse, much more so than today.
The "Original Church" was led by James the Just, brother of Jesus. They were the "Poor of Jerusalem", they lived communally and kept Jewish Law. The last traces of this church, also known as the Ebionites, died out around the time of Muhammed.
The key characteristics of Roman Catholicism (Marionism, Priests as intermediaries, veneration of the dead etc) arose during the 3rd century.
I should also point out that all the Orthodox churches are catholic.
The documentary doesnt mention the influence of Zoroastrianism on Judaic belief, once one of the worlds great religions, with its concept of dualism - two deities, one good, one evil, in cosmic conflict, played out in the world of matter - this is clearly the origin of the devil or satan in the old testament, adapted to monotheism, explaining the clear difficulty in the Bible of reconciling Satan into a belief which accepts only one supreme being. Pan's appearance is quite probably based on actual descrptions of once real people, medieval frescos in Balkan monasteries show shepherds wearing fur trousers, there's even an early photo of one, and Otzi the Iceman who died over 5,000 years ago in the Alps wore trousers of goats fur. The name Pan has been calculated from a Proto Indo European herder deity from when these speakers roamed the grasslands of the asian steppe. folktales certainly in the British Isles depicted a wild man of the woods such as the Ghillie Dubh and similar as a helpful character aiding those lost especially children. In Isle of Man folklore is Fenodyree who could be persuaded to do unskilled farm work for food, but distained clothes, the Celtic scholar Rhys derived the name from Norse meaning hairy leggings. Witches too were originally seen as good and useful characters, diviners, originally most were men, wicca, but the fact its female form, wicce, pronounced "wi(t)che", became the pejorative in English shows a growing misogyny under the Christian church.

All religion is about power but also about the unknown ability of nature. However if you can consolidate a religion, you can also consolidate power. Very tempting for early sociopaths.
I feel like many religions start with good intentions but are co-opted by those seeking power. Which is why I feel like any deep spirituality, whether via religion or not, needs to come from inside yourself and your own beliefs, not by subscribing to any dogma. Trust in a teacher or guru is great and important, but you have to gut-check every teaching with what you feel is true at your core. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for your thoughts!
@thepostapocalypse I agree completely with what you just said and it can be a good thing to have someone who can guide you and help you in your spiritual journey. Buddhist koans are valuable teaching tools an exemplify the mystery of existence through short little stories. If you approach something wholeheartedly but also with a note of skepticism I feel that most often is the best approach. People who claim to know things that are unknowable are the people that in my opinion should be feared the most. The televangelists on television who guaranteed eternal life in heaven or miracle cures on Earth are in my opinion among the worst examples of spirituality gone wrong. Living a life where you are open to new ideas but at the same time wary of false prophets, is very important. Too often religion is weaponized against people and because you can find just about any justification you want in the Christian Bible. Mythology and stories have been part of the human experience ever since we were able to speak. I think as we mature as a society and as Sapient beings we need to find a new kind of spirituality. And while I agree with you that it starts with the individual, one of the most important things about religion is community. The rise of social media has created inordinate amounts of alienation in so many people. There are no simple answers to these sorts of things but if approached with sincerity and a genuine desire to make the world a better place, I think most people would agree that is a worthwhile cause. I would also like to say thank you for your thoughtful response to what I said. I've watched several of your videos and appreciate many of your musings on existence.

@@warondogs8199it’s a hybrid. I use ChatGPT but I prompt it with specifics I want to include, and I rewrite and edit the scripts. I also fact check anything that doesn’t align with what I know about the subject and make it do rewrites with specific notes. It’s kind of using ChatGPT as a writing partner. It’s a learning process but I’m trying to do a little better with each script.

@@cherishjoelene Yes, Ahirman is the evil god in Zoroastrianism. The Jewish exiles were exposed to the concept of an evil/good dualism in captivity under the Persian Empire. On the return from exile (under the edict of Cyrus) Jews tried to develop a pure monotheism (only our God exists), rather than the henotheistic (other gods exist, but our God is better) view from before the captivity. Previously (and still, in a pure monotheism) God was responsible for evil as well as good, so we had better make Him/Her happy. Exposure to Ahriman provided a model for a personification of evil as an elemental force, and models of rebellion fit better into monotheism (although Free Will makes this complicated). And so doing conveniently no longer made God responsible for Evil (after all, He makes EVERYTHING).
Of course it's far more complicated than this, and IF the Enochian literature is very old then in the story of the Fall of the Watchers we see another attempt to provide for an origin of evil and devils so as to make God seperate from evil - assuming angels have free will. In this case Azazel and Samyaza (the two leaders of the Watchers rebellion) have many of the attributes later ascribed to Satan. Notably in this case at least some of the blame is ascribed to human women, a mysogynist theme that makes me think it is a VERY old story.

Satan was written about as a generalized adversary. The word Satan just means “adversary” and this title applied to many beings. It wasn’t until Christianity began to consolidate power that Satan became the embodiment of evil, a singular entity conflated with Lucifer and other characters. At least that’s my understanding. This idea that mistakes allegedly make you horrible, weak, not credible and having committed some terrible sin of some sort. Its literally the rejection of the natural human learning process, which is the process of gaining knowledge and wisdom through the experience of trial and error, aka -- making mistakes. Now, everyone has such a fear of seeming wrong and on the flip side also such a strong addiction to the idea of being perceived as being correct, that we're just not allowed to ever make a mistake or be wrong about anything, ever. Thats the neurotic mentality that so many people fall into, and it can be seen in the comments sections of just about anything, everywhere on the internet.

God give us free will. A choice to do what is right and wrong and try to live by Christ’s teachings. The Angels were given a one off choice upon their creation, to follow God or be damned to eternity. Thanks to Christ’s suffering and death on the cross for our sins, we have a choice in our lifetime of which route to take. We are all sinners, but with Christ’s example, love and guidance, we have been given a chance in this life for eternal salvation. To quote Gladiator “What we do in life echos in eternity”. Cheesy maybe, but if we all lived a life by Christ’s teachings, how much more peaceful and content would this world be that we live in?

I think the first christians made a mistake on demonizing the weregoat. Initially, Pan and other horned hybrids represented such a balance between the reason and instinct as well as the human and the animal. Theoretically, it does make sense, for how are we supposed to reach our maximum potential if we're not familiarized with our body and instincts? How are we supposed to get in touch with our spirituality if we don't appreciate what we have on earth? How are we supposed to know ourselves if we don't know our body first?

Was it that Christianity was looking for a way to just get more converts or was it just that Jesus message was the truth? Also how are you trying to say all these different cultures somehow knew about each other? They wouldn't have known a thing about the celts, or Norse, in freaking Judeah when Jesus first spread the message. Just if the Bible always had Satan as the bad guy and the council was just them putting it together but the other texts and things were already there than all those messages were already there weren't they? So isn't it just people understanding the message more and more as time went on? Then as far as the artwork goes whatever take it for what you will the main point is still the same though wasn't Satan always the bad guy in all Christianity? To be up front, I try not to have “a message” or agenda. I just find the history of biblical texts fascinating. If there is anything you find factually inaccurate, please let me know. As for my personal faith, I was raised Catholic but am now a practicing Buddhist. I also have a deep interest in esoteric Christianity and fully support living by Christ’s principles (though I think they’ve been co-opted and twisted by bad actors in modern society). Having the opinion that the Church was correct in believing all pagan gods were, in fact, demons is a valid view, though I don’t think it holds up to rationality. As for “Jesus being right,” most of the stuff surrounding Satan was invented long after his time, so the question is whether church leaders were correct or not. Just my opinions and two cents, I really appreciate the input. Thanks for watching :)
The Church is the mountrosity here. It's creation, initiated by tge so called Apostle Paul and this is just about power. The Church has never been about helping anyone but to gain power over everyone.
I think there are aspects and individuals of the church who have truly tried to do charitable work. There is definitely a lot of power based motivation though so I appreciate your point.

You keep saying the old ways and gods of old, when God (the one creator and one true god) who created Adam (first human) and the heavens and the earth was worshipped by Adam and the prophets. The same god created satan. So who is the new and the old. What you are saying is far from the truth.
Your opinions are based on Semitic beliefs, which are some of the oldest traditions in religion. Still, Judaism existed side by side with other religions for thousands of years, and the idea of “Satan” as an individual being (as opposed to a general term meaning “the adversary”) didn’t come about until much later, when Christianity began to spread. Similarly, the church didn’t begin to systematically demonize other pagan gods until Christianity began to spread. The Jewish religion proclaimed their God as the one true God while pagan religions believed in many different gods and NOT in the Hebrew God. So it all depends on which perspective you share and what part of history you’re looking at. That being said, I’m far from an expert on this, so please let me know if I got any facts wrong. Appreciate your perspective and your input!

Just to share the Islamic perspective, The idea of the (devil) or as called in Arabic (shaitan) is old and he was created before man, and was pious. He rebelled against god when Adam was created, and disobeyed god’s command and was therefore cursed. His hate for mankind was ever since. He is no angel, but rather he is from the race of Jin. There are good and bad Jin. The bad ones are referred to as demons. They cannot be seen unless they are summoned or certain rituals are performed, which is considered blasphemy in Islam. The prophet and king Solomon peace be upon him had a miracle from god, that was control of the Jin, and this was only for him. Anyone who attempts to do what Solomon did (which they can’t) is considered a blasphemy and evil. So that’s just sharing a little from the hidden world from the Islam point of view.
