I understand this in my head. Where I have trouble applying it with my fingers is on any chord with a big stretch, especially when my pinkie is involved (which has less strength, less control, and tends to land at an angle).
Matt, I'm looking for a uke hanger which allows the uke to hang straight down, parralel to the wall, rather than at an angle, away from the wall, which I'm sure puts undue pressure where the neck meets the uke body. If the hanger behind you allows your uke to hang straight down, parallel to to wall, please advise of the brand and model. Many thanks.
Hello, I bought a uke that buzzes like crazy. I have another uke same brand different model and I have no problems with buzzing on that one at all. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks for the video!
Like Matt says, it could be low at the nut or low at the bridge…or both. Or there could be a piece of lifted bracing inside the body vibrating🤔. If you paid decent cash for it then it’s worth getting a luthier to check it out. If you got a cheapie then Google-up how to sort it yourself on the cheap.
@@billyaitken7461 Thank you! It's one of the less expensive Kanilea ukes...which was still pricey. The only music store here is a guitar center. Hopefully that will help! Thank you!
I remember you mentioned this in one of your previous videos and I seriously think of this tip every time I practice. Thank you!

It’s a “String Swing” and I got it on Amazon!
@@MattDahlberg Thank you!
will this work for barre chords. can you make a video on playing the barre chord effectively
It will! Stay tuned. :)
This must be a common problem because Matt has talked about this before

It’s probably a setup issue. I’d try to take it to a local music store for a setup. :)
