Such a great, exercise> For a long time I was wondering where the fluency in play is coming from. Having tried to teach myself since 3 years. Matt is my first teacher, but certainly more like a PROFESSOR !

Matt, thank you for this video. Your pace is appreciated - not too slow - and your explanations make sense.

This exercise also kinda sounds like a caterpillar along with looking like one! A tricky, tricky caterpillar climbing a uke flower stem. Also that counting was impressive! 😅

Very nice exercise! Especially valuable, I think, for training my pinky, which is weaker and under less control. Matching the left and right hands for a steady legato sound is also a challenge.

I'm so happy I found your site! I've learned a lot just from from the couple of lessions I've seen! Are you on Patrion?

What edition do you start at? I'd like to start from the beginning. I've been "noodling" around with the ukulele for quite some time and can never hit the strings at the same spots everytime. Sometimes I get frustrated and put the uke down for a couple of weeks. But because of my ADHD I almost have to start at the beginning again! BTW... I'm a 74 year old Navy Veteran!

I love the fret markers on your ukulele.
