I understand the idea behind the house structure, making it the same shape, size, layout as mauds house and that's a great memorial. However it falls short on being the right memorial because its so grey and industrial looking. It needs colour and beauty for it to represent maud ❤

Does the little garden stand in place of the original house? Beautiful. Just wondering about the grey house across the street.... It seems so dull and lifeless. Almost like a prison. Couldn't the builder/designer have exercised a little more imagination?

La casa debió ser colorida, es ironico que le hagan un homenaje con una casa completamente gris, cuando ella era puro color.

Es buena la intención de un monumento, pero es tan frío, gris, sin vida... me parece que alguien podría ir a pintar unas flores y unas mariposas... al estilo de Maud, seguro que ella sonreiría desde donde esté.

Have just finished watching "Maudie" on television. The installation and gardens a lovely memorial. Amazing to see it in spring/summer. To think this area is covered in snow in winter time. - how does the garden hold up? Humbling to think they lived in a little cottage during the cold
