As a disclaimer I have driven since 1996 to date. A total of 2.7 million miles mostly in the U.S and occassionally I drive in Canada. Now that they have sold you the pipe dream how you can immigrate to the easiest country in the world to immigrate to on the planet, here is what they are not telling you. Over the road pay is $0.36 per mile. When your truck is sitting or when you are at the reciever waiting hours and hours to get loaded or unloaded you make $0. Now here again, is what they are not telling you. When you immigrate to Canada from the dusty sands of Timbuktu, you have no idea how to drive in harsh winter road conditions. The job is extremely dangerous, and it will take you a good 3-4 years to understand the Job and get proficient at it. So when you get here you will be lucky to get 1,500 miles per week, so good luck paying all the debts you incurred to make it to Canada. Here is another thing they are not telling you, rent in Canada is about 2,000 per month , food about $250 per person, and about $700 for a family of 4. So do the math. Did they tell you about taxes? Lets just say taxes are very high. Now do you see why these mythical creatures called truck drivers are not making their big money TH-cam videos? Once you realize that this is a pipe dream and you are ready to hang it up, they have another 500,000 immigrants dying to come to Good Old Canada and take your job. Yes its very easy to immigrate to Canada, but making it is not that easy. If you want to make money in trucking in North America, buy your own truck, and go run your trucking business in the U.S. Next secret is don't haul what everyone else is hauling, because that is another pipe dream. Specialize in hauling items that no one dares to haul nad you will be rich very quickly. All the best.
Hi , so my situation is a bit complicated, i am a Nigerian, i have gotten a visit visa to Canada, hoping to change it to a work visa on arrival, i have a passion for trucking, will love to get into trucking as soon as i get to Canada, however i am trying to find out the process of doing that(i.e changing the visa and how to get into trucking) also find out if there is a company that will cover the cost of my training and i can pay later ? I will appreciate an insight to this please 🙏
They will not recruit people applying out side canada. Just dont get fooled. First thing is to get the CDL which is a program that runs for several weeks. Those employers need to have a LMIA yet they do not consider candidate outside canada.

This is AMAZING! Kindly give all your supporting documents and apply to many different companies. There are lots of vacancies there, I couldn’t list them all. Take time to reed all the requirements and a quick research of the companies. Kindly be warned there are lots of scammers out there! Do not send money to anyone in advance. Good luck

You'll need a class 1 CDL driving license, before obtaining it, you have to hold a regular Canadian driving license for a period of time. It's not that easy. This video is misleading, unfortunately.

Hey, thanks for the comment. You need to have an updated cover letter and cv to match Canadian standards as it’s different. Then, research on the jobs and the companies and then send as many applications as possible, making sure each cover letter is tailored to the specific job and attach all your supporting documents.
