Wow this gave me goose bumps. My 2-year-old was born July 29th of the same year. Just a few days apart My baby girl is 32 pounds. I cant imagine a 9-pound 2-year-old. What monsters . RIP baby girl.

Not chubby, but were proportioned on that graph chart they use for the babies and toddlers. I just can't get over this. The poor little baby girl. My youngest is 7. She was born at 4.4 pounds. She was a tiny little thing because she was short (I am only 5'2" my husband 5' 9") but as she got bigger even though she was small with her cubby cheeks and little chunky thighs in pictures you would think she is a fat little chunky baby, but reality she was a peanut. To not feed a baby then toddler is just horrific!!! A 2 year old should be eating EVERY 2 HOURS! breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner!!! This case brought me to tears.

I have zero sympathy for anyone who could starve their own child. Put them in jail and starve them. That to me would be true justice. As a mother and a nurse, this makes me feel physically sick. When i became disabled because of my back which now has 16 screws in it, I went without MANY things so my kids could eat. I have NO tolerance for people who could do this. Not when there are food banks, food stamps, WIC, churches who would help you and people who would gladly share whatever they have. If the parents were eating, there's NO excuse whatsoever. I’m 55 and due to becoming disabled in my early 30’s i never got married or had kids. When i see something like this i first feel sad but then my blood boils. I wish i had the opportunity to raise kids but life took that from me instead of taking it from these 2 animals.

This is so tragic. During the pandemic so many children were killed and abused bc everything was closed or put off. Yet I promise you all of these parents received the stimulus money and SNAP benefits, free housing etc on the poor children 😞😭💔
My first child was barely 9 lbs at 6 months, and we all knew something was terribly wrong. She was diagnosed with a genetic illness, and when I asked for a prognosis, one of the nurses patted my hand and said “Well, I wouldn’t buy her any birthday presents.” That was over 40 years ago, and she is a testament to what good care can do. She has had a normal life, and we are so blessed to still have her around!

There are some truly evil people in this world. Just last year in South Korea, a pair of foster parents killed their adopted baby girl (1 year old) by jumping onto her body. The baby didn't die on impact, so they sent her to daycare where she slowly died a painful death from organ failure. The monsters had apparently been abusing and torturing her for a long time. Worst part is, the murderers were only sentenced to 2-3 years in jail. Just horrifying.

I have a precious 17 month old. He’s a happy, healthy, chunky, talking, walking, thriving little bundle of joy. It makes my heart so heavy to think they wouldn’t want that for their baby girl.

We must protect the children be it being CASA volunteers, helping single moms and dads to just giving them food and clothes and even listening to kids talk about their day. I am finding that children need toiletries ie: toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo soap and feminine hygiene product. So many children are going without.

I can't imagine the hunger pains this poor child went through. She probably stopped crying and trying to express that she was hungry a long time before she passed, because of how weak she must have been. I sometimes believe that some punishments from the past, from the East would be acceptable to bring to the Western world in certain situations. This is one of those situations.

I'm sorry for that the police had to encounter such an awful tragedy. I was a pediatric ER nurse for many years. Not many people understand how hard it is to see children who are gravely I'll or who have died. The people in that town need to hear that we care about how they are dealing with this.

As a kid hunger is intense when you get home from school and all you can think about is what your mom has made for you once you get home. As a baby that suffered and couldn't even tell someone how hungry she was that was pure torture. Even as an adult I can go like half the day without eating but, that makes me desperate to eat. I couldn't imagine slowly dying over a period of 2 years because I wasnt being fed. Its a miracle she lived that long. She didnt want to give up. 😔
Not to mention a child in that poor condition probably never had attention either. In that babys mind eating was probably the only pleasure it ever got to experience. Like an animal who is left in a room without food for days at a time which is bad enough, but this is a helpless child. I think i would love to be the excecutioner, i sadly believe i would enjoy it.

This sheriff does a really great job with transparency and communication of information. The visual aid of what the baby weighed at birth, their first check up, and what she should’ve weighed was very powerful.

Almost any one of us would have taken that child. I would have. There are people that will pay for your pregnancy, your housing, your hospital stay. There are childless parents who would give anything. I was a fertility patient. I would have given anything you asked for a child. Why don’t these people do this? Why starve a precious child. I remember Judd's 'Eat a moon pie, quit murdering people' statement, I found the humor in his words. Now I see the empathy and compassion in his words. It brings me to tears that anyone could do this to any child, let alone their own flesh and blood child and his words bring the horror to life to everyone who were to listen. He is right in his anger and shock that as a parent and grandparent, the acts these monsters had done was so heartbreaking and sickening. Polk County has a good man sheriff in their hands. Unfortunately, it's rare a man like this in power anywhere.

My heart is broken! This rips open a wound in my heart that I’ll never recover from, my worst call as a MICParamedic. I scooped up a 6 month old girl from a crib & began CPR. After working on her 2 hrs in ER the code was called off. What initially we thought was crib death turned out to be physical abuse. A broken femur, ribs, & a skull fracture. Beaten over her short 6 month life because she would not stop crying!! One haunting thing was the parents were not prosecuted as they could not prove who did it?!?! Like this case a year later I saw them pushing a stroller. I almost stopped my car but, like Sheriff Judd, I try hard to walk a Christian life. It’s not an easy walk. The call effected my marriage as I could not kiss my wife for over a year as I remembered my lips trying to breath life into this baby, now an Angel. This child had to endure 2 yrs, 4 times more than mine. Ya know I no longer say when I hear news like this, “I can’t believe this story!!” as I’m no longer surprised at the lack of basic Love out there, Biblical Love…

Unfortunately this happens more than you know. My son literally in January and my daughter in law drove to Michigan and rescued his 4 year old grandson who weighed 22 pounds. The mother was living with her grandparents and all they gave him was ensure. My son and daughter-in-law now have custody of their grandson and he is thriving and gaining weight and has started talking but still can’t walk. The mother and grandmother are under investigation. His father, my grandson, was never able to see his son until Christmas 2021. My grandson lives here in Florida. When we saw his son on Christmas we were all horrified, this is a child that was born with special needs. These people were starving him to death. He eats real food, is in therapy, school and sees doctors every week. How can these monsters starve their own children. Can anyone explain why these monsters do this to their own flesh and blood.

There’s NO EXCUSE for their actions and their lack of actions. NONE! I would and will go without food for my children. And I’m willing to bet that any good parent would do the same. The fact that poor baby gained a single ounce in a little over 2 years, the fact that she had not been to a doctor in 2 years, and everything about this case is beyond sickening and INFURIATING to say the least. It was extremely hard to stomach the details that were given. This sweet Angel is no longer suffering and she’s safe.

You're absolutely right. Zero reason other than pure abuse/neglect. There is welfare, and SO MANY programs out there to keep this from happening to ANY baby. They could have seen drs, gotten food, cash, all of that, if it was just a case of being poor, or down on their luck. He could have turned to the church. This is just flat-out gross neglect, on the part of BOTH parents. This poor officer though... I bet having to deal with this has been horrible for him, but I'm pretty sure he's going to do everything in his power to make sure the judge throws the book at them. I'm not a mama yet but we've been so broke I've let the dog eat before I would. My family was poor when I was a child and I never noticed because Mama made sure I ate. Even if my snack was a kraft single, she made sure any time I asked there was at least something small. Children don't ask to be put on this earth, and they can't do much for themselves for a long time. I can't comprehend letting my dog starve, let alone a child. I would have given anything for another child. I did IVF to have my son, but was never able to have success again. People like this should be put down like the worthless things they are.
This broke my heart. That’s exactly why I don’t go to church or believe in any religion. I believe in knowing the difference between right and wrong and know that there are consequences to every action we make or take. That’s how I was raised. To tell the truth even when I have done something I wasn’t supposed to do. My goodness, why have a child if you aren’t going to care and love him/her? I personally have a neighbor who curses her baby and little 6 year old out in the worse way. I’m not crazy about CPS because I have heard of the intent of foster parents and find no reason to have them taken from one bad environment to another where the abusing continues. So I am fighting with myself everyday trying to find out what to do. I’ve learned that when you make anonymous calls, they are not followed up on. We live in a violent world and I am putting my own life at stake if I report this person. Trust me, it eats at me everyday and my own health is affected. This is just awful and I have to do something about the situation that I witness. There are others that are eyewitnesses just as I am but I can’t get their support. There have been 3 times that the children have been physically abused, but mentally, emotionally, psychologically, it’s an everyday occurrence. Trust me, I will find someone to talk too. I am disabled, a senior, live alone and rarely see or talk to anyone at all. I stay completely to myself and dealing with mental and psychological abuse myself from this unfit, hoodrat excuse of a mother. I live in fear of retaliation but it breaks my heart to witness what I continuously do. Myself and another neighbor tried to help only to get cursed out. The police have been called but they put the burden on me. I need a Peace Order but no one knows her name so I can’t get one. I do know the car she drives is registered to someone at that address and the tags are expired. She has had a warrant out on her since March and again, there is nothing I can do. Any suggestions?

My youngest son was 8lbs 7oz. 22" long. By the time he was two, he was wearing 4Ts and some size 5. All three of my babies were large. Not chubby, but were proportioned on that graph chart they use for the babies and toddlers.

My youngest is 7. She was born at 4.4 pounds. She was a tiny little thing because she was short (I am only 5'2" my husband 5' 9") but as she got bigger even though she was small with her cubby cheeks and little chunky thighs in pictures you would think she is a fat little chunky baby, but reality she was a peanut. To not feed a baby then toddler is just horrific!!! A 2 year old should be eating EVERY 2 HOURS! breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner!!! This case brought me to tears.

I’m 55 and due to becoming disabled in my early 30’s i never got married or had kids. When i see something like this i first feel sad but then my blood boils. I wish i had the opportunity to raise kids but life took that from me instead of taking it from these 2 animals.

She was diagnosed with a genetic illness, and when I asked for a prognosis, one of the nurses patted my hand and said “Well, I wouldn’t buy her any birthday presents.” That was over 40 years ago, and she is a testament to what good care can do. There are some truly evil people in this world. Just last year in South Korea, a pair of foster parents killed their adopted baby girl (1 year old) by jumping onto her body. The baby didn't die on impact, so they sent her to daycare where she slowly died a painful death from organ failure. The monsters had apparently been abusing and torturing her for a long time. Worst part is, the murderers were only sentenced to 2-3 years in jail. Just horrifying.
Didn't get five minutes into the video before I broke down sobbing. I cannot watch the rest...my heart breaks in two for this poor baby. I simply cannot fathom how evil the "parents" could be to STARVE THEIR OWN CHILD TO DEATH. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you experiencing this tragedy.

We must protect the children be it being CASA volunteers, helping single moms and dads to just giving them food and clothes and even listening to kids talk about their day. I am finding that children need toiletries ie: toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo soap and feminine hygiene product. So many children are going without.

I can't imagine the hunger pains this poor child went through. She probably stopped crying and trying to express that she was hungry a long time before she passed, because of how weak she must have been. Only traces of fecal matter in her intestines shows how EVIL those two (can't call them people) demons were. Parents are supposed to love unconditionally their children. Prison is to good for them. I sometimes believe that some punishments from the past, from the East would be acceptable to bring to the Western world in certain situations. This is one of those situations.

I'm sorry for that the police had to encounter such an awful tragedy. I was a pediatric ER nurse for many years. Not many people understand how hard it is to see children who are gravely I'll or who have died. The people in that town need to hear that we care about how they are dealing with this.

As a kid hunger is intense when you get home from school and all you can think about is what your mom has made for you once you get home. As a baby that suffered and couldn't even tell someone how hungry she was that was pure torture. Even as an adult I can go like half the day without eating but, that makes me desperate to eat. I couldn't imagine slowly dying over a period of 2 years because I wasnt being fed. Its a miracle she lived that long. She didnt want to give up. 😔
Not to mention a child in that poor condition probably never had attention either. In that babys mind eating was probably the only pleasure it ever got to experience. Like an animal who is left in a room without food for days at a time which is bad enough, but this is a helpless child. I think i would love to be the excecutioner, i sadly believe i would enjoy it.

This sheriff does a really great job with transparency and communication of information. The visual aid of what the baby weighed at birth, their first check up, and what she should’ve weighed was very powerful.

There are childless parents who would give anything. I was a fertility patient. I would have given anything you asked for a child. Why don’t these people do this? Why starve a precious child. Two men in my family are in law enforcement one is a homicide detective and the other was in narcotics they have seen some bad things
Ya kind of like the grand PA that found a suitcase in his property the other day, in Indiana. He called the cops and opened it, there was a child the same age as his grand kids. He doesn't deserve that.

I remember Judd's 'Eat a moon pie, quit murdering people' statement, I found the humor in his words. Now I see the empathy and compassion in his words. It brings me to tears that anyone could do this to any child, let alone their own flesh and blood child and his words bring the horror to life to everyone who were to listen. He is right in his anger and shock that as a parent and grandparent, the acts these monsters had done was so heartbreaking and sickening. Polk County has a good man sheriff in their hands. Unfortunately, it's rare a man like this in power anywhere.
I have 3 kids. All my kids were born light. 5-6lbs. Now they're 10, 8, and 7 and thriving and well fed. Never let any children go starving.
What those monsters did was absolutely horrific. It is beyond sad. Personally, I hope neither ever see the light of day. Thanks to this gentleman for his outstanding efforts.

My heart is broken! This rips open a wound in my heart that I’ll never recover from, my worst call as a MICParamedic. I scooped up a 6 month old girl from a crib & began CPR. After working on her 2 hrs in ER the code was called off. What initially we thought was crib death turned out to be physical abuse. A broken femur, ribs, & a skull fracture. Beaten over her short 6 month life because she would not stop crying!! One haunting thing was the parents were not prosecuted as they could not prove who did it?!?! Like this case a year later I saw them pushing a stroller. I almost stopped my car but, like Sheriff Judd, I try hard to walk a Christian life. It’s not an easy walk. The call effected my marriage as I could not kiss my wife for over a year as I remembered my lips trying to breath life into this baby, now an Angel. This child had to endure 2 yrs, 4 times more than mine. Ya know I no longer say when I hear news like this, “I can’t believe this story!!” as I’m no longer surprised at the lack of basic Love out there, Biblical Love…

As for those questioning the faith of this man... What do you get out publicly calling out a person's beliefs? Especially after reading about the pain they have been through. No one forced you to read his comment. He shared a part of his life with you.

Unfortunately this happens more than you know. My son literally in January and my daughter in law drove to Michigan and rescued his 4 year old grandson who weighed 22 pounds. The mother was living with her grandparents and all they gave him was ensure. My son and daughter-in-law now have custody of their grandson and he is thriving and gaining weight and has started talking but still can’t walk. The mother and grandmother are under investigation. His father, my grandson, was never able to see his son until Christmas 2021. My grandson lives here in Florida. When we saw his son on Christmas we were all horrified, this is a child that was born with special needs. These people were starving him to death. He eats real food, is in therapy, school and sees doctors every week. How can these monsters starve their own children. Can anyone explain why these monsters do this to their own flesh and blood.
All I can think is some kind of mental illness? It's hard to think that anyone could be so self involved to just forget they have a child. It's good to know your great grandson is safe loved and happy. Thank you for sharing your story.

There’s NO EXCUSE for their actions and their lack of actions. NONE! I would and will go without food for my children. And I’m willing to bet that any good parent would do the same. The fact that poor baby gained a single ounce in a little over 2 years, the fact that she had not been to a doctor in 2 years, and everything about this case is beyond sickening and INFURIATING to say the least. It was extremely hard to stomach the details that were given. This sweet Angel is no longer suffering and she’s safe.

You're absolutely right. Zero reason other than pure abuse/neglect. There is welfare, and SO MANY programs out there to keep this from happening to ANY baby. They could have seen drs, gotten food, cash, all of that, if it was just a case of being poor, or down on their luck. He could have turned to the church. This is just flat-out gross neglect, on the part of BOTH parents. This poor officer though... I bet having to deal with this has been horrible for him, but I'm pretty sure he's going to do everything in his power to make sure the judge throws the book at them. I'm not a mama yet but we've been so broke I've let the dog eat before I would. My family was poor when I was a child and I never noticed because Mama made sure I ate. Even if my snack was a kraft single, she made sure any time I asked there was at least something small. Children don't ask to be put on this earth, and they can't do much for themselves for a long time. I can't comprehend letting my dog starve, let alone a child. I'll work my ass off, ask for help, beg, but my youngin ain't going to starve.

Every time I hear about one of these cases, my mind starts to race and I think Good God, as we are raging about this case, there are other children right now being treated in the same exact way or worse..
It’s all become too common now and something somewhere has to change because whatever we are doing now is simply not working .
I can remember when my kids were little and every night when I would put them to bed they would always say they were hungry and I knew they weren’t but in the back of my head I would always wonder if maybe they were and I would always give them something .. the guilt of wondering if they were would bother me… so I could never imagine not feeding them at all .. so heart breaking

This broke my heart. That’s exactly why I don’t go to church or believe in any religion. I believe in knowing the difference between right and wrong and know that there are consequences to every action we make or take. That’s how I was raised. To tell the truth even when I have done something I wasn’t supposed to do.
My goodness, why have a child if you aren’t going to care and love him/her? I personally have a neighbor who curses her baby and little 6 year old out in the worse way. I’m not crazy about CPS because I have heard of the intent of foster parents and find no reason to have them taken from one bad environment to another where the abusing continues. So I am fighting with myself everyday trying to find out what to do. I’ve learned that when you make anonymous calls, they are not followed up on. We live in a violent world and I am putting my own life at stake if I report this person. Trust me, it eats at me everyday and my own health is affected. This is just awful and I have to do something about the situation that I witness. There are others that are eyewitnesses just as I am but I can’t get their support. There have been 3 times that the children have been physically abused, but mentally, emotionally, psychologically, it’s an everyday occurrence.
Trust me, I will find someone to talk too. I am disabled, a senior, live alone and rarely see or talk to anyone at all. I stay completely to myself and dealing with mental and psychological abuse myself from this unfit, hoodrat excuse of a mother. I live in fear of retaliation but it breaks my heart to witness what I continuously do. Myself and another neighbor tried to help only to get cursed out. The police have been called but they put the burden on me. I need a Peace Order but no one knows her name so I can’t get one. I do know the car she drives is registered to someone at that address and the tags are expired. She has had a warrant out on her since March and again, there is nothing I can do. Any suggestions?
Please, PLEASE call the proper authorities, at least give them a chance to do what's right even though they probably won't.... I wish someone had saved my grandson from my daughter who drowned him... please please do the right thing 😢if you don't know the name, at least give the address...
