@@tomr3422 Not claiming he or his officers are perfect or anything, but… your claim that his department only does stings, like this, when it is convenient for elections is inaccurate. He frequently has press conferences to discuss successful sting operations they ran in Polk County. Many are human trafficking or sex offender stings but not all. It is human nature to be curious & I believe his constituents appreciate being informed as to what is going on in their community (if the don’t already know) & what is being done about it.
Also, this operation was not just done overnight; it takes time to build a sturdy case for conviction. If the sheriff’s department jumped the gun & didn’t have solid evidence for the prosecution, the perpetrators could go free… thereby wasting the time & resources allocated to the task force for missions such as this.

I'm from California. I love watching Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd speaking on crimes committed by criminals because he gives detailed information about who the criminals are with their photos. All Sherriff departments around the US should be this detail orientated, to give the public all information about exactly what's going on out there in our neighborhoods. GREAT WORK!!

They are burning down all the citrus groves to build 2 story apts for them. Most of these urban people just got their 1st drivers licenses driving here. Stereos banging vibrating on our streets. Unsafe for women in retail stores. Etc. I have a 2 bdrm 2 bath condo for sale, fyi.

What can you say? I watch this from the Maritimes in Canada, but I lived in Toronto (Ontario) for almost 60 years where the police and crown attorneys have similar challenges. These very intelligent and committed police, lawyers, concerned citizens, dept of corrections administrators etc etc are a fantastic (is there a better adjective??) example to everyone everywhere who give, work hard, love and build their lives and communities. Love Sheriff Grady Judd! But without a good prosecuting, law abiding, Attorney General police officers have their hands tied look at LA w POS Gaskon releasing killers unto the streets. I really wish that all Sheriff's acted this way. This man is an extraordinary example of a person who does his job and does it well without the political drama that most departments and Sheriff's seem to give into all the time.
Me too. This is the first sheriff to admit that there's no such thing as good police work finally. You heard what he said. Since no one will do the work for them they can't solve those two murders. Police today are glorified Paper Artists. If uhn-uhn Undercover, the real cops by the way, doesn't make the case for them then they need an informant or snitch. Maybe we should be a bit more careful the positions that we open up that involve paying people to not be able to mind their own business. The Sherrif was stating that these gang members intimidate either the witness to the crime AND/OR the victim of the crime. So, if you don’t have a witness/victim come forward, and there’s no recording of the crime to show the jury, then you cannot prosecute bc you don’t ha e enough evidence to show the defendant(s) are guilty beyond reasonable doubt! In order for us to continue to be a free and safe (from anyone terrorizing us bc laws are not enforced) society...then society has to do its part. Doing your part means you speak up/stand up when your community is being terrorized. One person having courage most of the time gives others to also have courage, to stand against this tyranny. For evil to prevail, it means good men do nothing...which is happening more and more. We’ve been so comfortable for so long, that it’s created weak men and women (or what ever tern they decide to go by these days). People expect the police to do all the work while at the same time blame them for someone getting shot, then scream defund the police. It use to be that you knew your neighbors, you knew their kids, and vise versa. It use to be that everyone watched out for everyone in their community. If neighbor A saw neighbor Bs kid doing something he/she/it shouldn’t be or was hanging out with someone known to be a ‘trouble maker’, they spoke to neighbor A about it. Then neighbor A, would address what was observed with their child...usually with more than just a ‘talking to’. So, not only have we stopped being a community but we’ve also stopped people/children from facing the consequences of their actions and stopped any form of corporal punishment, except when they eventually end up facing the police.
It is our job to be active in our community to maintain peace and stability, and to work with law enforcement to prosecute those committing these heinous crimes! It’s a 2-way street!!

I had a warrant for "failure to return hired,leased property" I stood infront of Judge Moody. She actually took the time to read my case and why a warrant was served. She saw that I paid rent a Center 3 times what the items were worth. And gave the prosecutor and rent a center a piece of her mind. I owed 450 left and was only behind a couple of months. She decided to throw the case out. I really appreciated her. A lot of judges don't do that. I think she is great at what she does. Peace ✌️

Now I’m sure your child would still have forgotten to used the turning signal however the government’s assassins would have rethought the use of that taser/use of force! And just wrote your child a ticket instead!!! Now hopefully as a parent even though your child received a ticket… that child would be able to fight the ticket and that would be easier to handle, hopefully!
Just remember bad cops cops get “GOOD” cops killed!!! But beware any cop, they can and will for their pleasure draw and kill you for fun!!!

Judd is top notch, Unlike Santa Rosa deputies that choose to go onto a private property, Walmart parking lot, namely, and instead of being concerned citizens, checking on the welfare of homeless in their vehicles, they choose to harass them and intimidate them, that is horrible public safety and relations.
I was in law enforcement for nearly 30 years, and for the most part, I had great respect for those in the hierarchy for whom I worked. But this man is a special breed, a special character, and awesome law enforcement leader. God Bless him and those who work for and directly under him. Thanks Sheriff for the open interviews and news conferences. We, the general public, do not get a lot of that considering the overall crime throughout this great country. We definitely need more leaders with his determination and drive to capture those who otherwise will kill us off, one by one, be it gunfire, drugs, or otherwise...
Police are the biggest gang of all. If only law enforcement were just as determined to protect our rights then maybe I could respect them. Instead they support unconstitutional laws just to supposedly make their own jobs easier which defeats the purpose of their existence. It's actually their sworn duty to resign instead of mindlessly doing what their told at the expense of constitutional rights. I've been harassed by police throughout my life just for walking down street. The times I've called police for help I got patronized and treated like a third class citizen even though I was the victim of an attempted murder they didn't really seem to care and they helped them get away with it even though I had witnesses. For the most part police are a bunch of dopey egotistical morons. I'm for defunding the police. We can protect ourselves and our neighborhoods way better without a bunch of idiots in uniforms. The problem is people are afraid to defend themselves out of fear they'll be punished for it and that is directly the polices fault. A blue stripe through the flag means that they think this is their country to rule as a police state. That is no different than burning a flag. Thirty years is a long time to be a hypocritical asshole. Shame on your life you blue pig.
