Great videos. I think I ordered every thing on your website for the x 10. I haven't received the press yet but I will be ready when it finally ships. Thanks for all the great videos
Excellent video -- have your alignment kit in hand. Thank you. [mentioned elsewhere, my press came with a 24 mm head bolt for the toolhead.] Went through your process, and maybe you did this - I didn't see it -- to make this work for me with your alignment die/dowel installed, I had to exert slight pressure clockwise on the tool head as adjusting the guide rod screws per your sequence. I believe I'm finally there.
Randall I understand that FA is going to manufacturer a modified reset rod that will allow the powder measure to be relocated to station 6? Do you know when this will be available?
Can you tell me the overall height from the base of the press to the top of the case hopper. Thanks I am trying to figure out if I have enough room to install one of these presses.
I was just testing my precision alignment dowel after looking at this video again. One question I have is the dowel supposed to be tipping forward where it touches the die slightly or is it not supposed to touch the die at all. Mine is barely touching the die and it gets straightened out once it goes into the die.
Raise and lower the tool head a few time to center the dowel in the shell plate and die...if it still tips any it isn't adjusted properly yet. Once adjusted correctly the dowel should center the die without tipping
I'm having it lockup on the upstroke. It happens when no case is in the case shuttle too. If I slightly lower the handle an inch and continue with the upstroke it usually rotates free again. I'm not sure what is happening but I'm thinking maybe it's the primer assembly gear. Do you have any issues with that? I only load 9mm and the press is indexed perfectly. It's also part of the new batch from Midway
I am very sorry I missed this question...hopefully it's fixed long before now but if it's doing it with no brass but with primers loaded...unscrew the primer tube from it's base and see if the tube is rubbing the top of the primer gear catching on the primers?
I bought your alignment tool and they sent me new shell plates and ball detent spring. I'm either hanging a shell out of the case plunger or tipping the case on stations 1-3. Am I supposed to use your alignment tool before or after setting the stops?
Nice. Can you point me in the direction of what I would need for an alignment tool set for .223 on a Mark 7 Apex 10 on your site? I believe it would be the die and pin correct? TYIA
They have not been tested on that machine but work on hornady, dillon, FA and others fine so I'm sure the same for mark7 Yes the die and dowel that comes in the x10 set would be it.
I'm over the FA X-10. Mine jams over and over and over. FA has thrown three small primers assemblies and still the same issue. I now have a very expensive boat anchor....
First time set up...then if you change tool heads per caliber...most will have caliber specific tool heads for easy caliber changes. One you have done it once...it's really easy and only takes a few minutes
Have you had any issues with cases jamming? I was messing around with my press the other day and noticed I had a few jams when the 223 brass drops down the tube. I also saw a couple videos where people are having case feed jams with the brass right as it comes out to the shell plate.
Jamming from the collator is simply getting your speed and feed gate combo correct as with most case collators...once adjusted I have had no issues at all. As for jamming out of the shuttle it's usually not having the case plunger(shuttle) and case reducer combination correct. Page 17 is confusing because it starts with middle size...then largest then smallest...it confused me the first time.Page 27 has a chart, 223 should be #3 plunger with #3 case reducer. Also make sure you push your plunger/shuttle all the way to the left when installing.
@@bragginrightsprecisionrelo346 Its not jamming from the collator but from the plunger, it seems like the cases tip out a little bit and fall into the shell plate. I do think you are correct when you mentioned the reducer sizes, I will just have to go with what fits and not go exactly with what's in the manual.
@Sledge Hammer the reducers are different heights for that reason...example it calls for a different reducer for 300BO than for 222 even though it's made from a 223 case...just shorter
This is truly excellent. Great tip that will save people hours of frustration. Thank you!

You need 54 inches from mount to ceiling to fully open the hopper door

So do you not tighten the top bolt? It seemed liked after you did it screwed up the concentricity
What is that sensor you have on there at station 1 What is that for
its for a counter I designed and sell on my company website www.bragginrightsprecisionreloading.com/shop
Thank you

Where is the issue causing it to lock up?

@tommytaylor7851 what brand primers?
New on the bench. The FA bullet feeder?
Well....that too lol but the F1 single stage in the box
Is there an ETA for the bullet feeder yet? My X-10 is working flawlessly. Thanks for the setup videos.
How often have you had to make this alinement adjustment? Will it work it’s way out of spec over time?
