Idly and dosai are hotel food only we bought in early 60's. In house we prepared on Deepawali festival with mutton kuzampu. Now we prepared in all houses in all days . This is reason for diabetic patients

Sir there is an alternative for converting the traditional Dosa by adding more dhals including toor channa and mung dhals and decreeing the proportion if the rice . basmati rice or parboiled rice as suggested by you is also a better option. The adai the was mentioned in your videos also has a higher proportion of dhals to rice. You can also make idlis using the same batter in a thicker consistency.
