Axial Wraith Mods and Setup

This is just a vid of my axial wraith setup.
Mamba Max Pro
Tekin Redline 17.5
As big of spur that would fit Wraith without mod (Cant remember amount of teeth)
Slightly smaller Pinion.
Venom Beadlocks
HB Rovers w/ 2 stage Proline memory foams
HD servo (needs a stronger one though)
Hot Racing steering kit

Thanks...Mamba can be programed without computer but with castle link it can be fine tuned and yes it has built in BEC and with the castle link you can adjust how much voltage you want to run servo on.

Great looking Wraith with that red beadlock rings. I´m sure it will perform fantastic with that overall setup! Please show us some offroad actio with it!

sorry for such late reply. mine seamed fine i got it into some pretty wet conditions, never just drowned it mostly splashing but never had any problems.

I got a foward battery mounting kit and did some of my own modifacations to it to use the smaller packs as I personally like them better for room and weight reasons. And yes I loved the 17.5t sensored Tekin. Mated with the Mamba Max Pro. I also used a smaller pinion and bigger spur

When you get a new video up, could you kind of show the top speed of the setup? I'm like you, want something that will still crawl and still maintain enough speed to have some tire spinnin' fun.

If I had to guess Id say maybe 20. Wraith doesn't need much more speed as it flipped super easy at speed. gear was as big a spur that would fit, don't remember the teeth and slightly smaller pinion to prevent motor from heating up

I'm thinking to buy a kit (not rtr). What holds me in this is the battery mount k. the back side. How did you place it on the front side?
You say the engine is a sensored 17.5 right? From what you say its a good balance between speed and crawling needs. Positive in that?

@longgone13 Yea sure just gotta wait till im home to make a vid. never home anymore so rc stuff is always halted :( Its nothing crazy fast but its fast as a wraith would ever need to go maybe like 20 - 25mph

Love the color and i've read a ton of bad on the timbuk2 wraith edition and esc smoking and the thing don't like any other bec but the Novak ones and there I guess junk and over heat and smoke easy also so looking into a good brushless sensored setup

So whats the motor do when wet i read that you have to take the motor apart and liquid electric tape the sensor bored thats in the motor then its fine cuz i like mud and water running and even with my brushed motors i cant do it do to two feet into the the motor stopps untill i clean it even with a cover around it and you cant crawl with sensorless motors so im getting a hobby wing combo and gonna try to waterproof the motor esc in a few months

Doesn't having the battery in that position reduce front suspension travel because of where the servo goes into the chassis? And the wheels are venom creeper wheels.
