Absolutely fantastic video, great accomplishment. Well done sticking it out to the end. I actually felt really anxious for you as the light disappeared. I remember back in the day a few sticky moments when we’ve ran out of light and finished in the dark, you definitely need to keep your wits about you. Lol, got a bit of deja vu. Brilliant, well done again x
Late start but a good day for it, well, at the start anyway and a bit of an ominous sign, Bull in Field! Got to say the camera is working a treat, great color and very clear. Peat bog looked rough mind and shame you were not doing a camera walk passed when you went on your back - comedy gold. Plenty of wild blueberries about mind and idea for a snack and I remember standing in the exact same place about a year ago just before we hit the summit of a very 'none' Windy Gyle with you and yes, I remember that wrong route lol. Talking about wrong routes, what a time to head off in the wrong direction, on the way home - nightmare! I take my hate off to you, 26.5 miles on a flat track would be an achievement but taking in 6 summits along the way, awesome! Cheers Alan
Thank you. This was a tough hike in the end from coming off Cushat Law slightly wrong. But fully enjoyed it. I think this is the longest hike I've done so far.
What a walk ! i did the cheviot last year and come down the valley and that was hard going!! so you must be a fit lad. only place iv seen an adder, always enjoy your trips atb jon
Tough, tough walk this Nick and you looked like you enjoyed every step apart from the bog fest that is Comb Fell lol. Once at Windy Gyle your a long way from your start point and it must be tempting to miss out on the heather bashing on the last two. Great effort, well done. Mick.
What a walk!!!!! Your determination shines through. Coomb fell is a nightmare I’ve done it a few times and it’s my most hated hill to do. Did cushat law from Hogdon law a few weeks ago, no path but was great fun climbing up and down the peat bogs. Well done 👏. As always a great watch 💗🥾
Comb Fell is by far the worst hill in the Cheviots. I keep vowing never to do it again but I always seem to find myself doing it again. I've promised to take two friends across it once Covid eases and we can share cars again. I am not relishing it. I still need to do Hogdon Law. Cushat Law I've done a couple of times. I totally lost my bearings in the fog and dark this day. For some bizarre reason I thought my compass was broken... I had a voice from my childhood telling me that some of the hills in the Cheviots mess with compasses. It just seemed like I needed to come off the way I did but at least I figured it out and got back. It all adds to the adventure.
@@NorthernWayfarer-Alice that’s the thing with comb fell. It draws you back in 😂. We’re clearly gluttons for punishment if we keep returning to it (or just stupid)! Hogdon law is lovely I actually prefer it to cushat law. I’m yet to do bloody bush edge but it’s planned in the next couple of weeks. Gonna try do it from clennel. That’s great you’ll be taking friends. So lovely people are getting out and about now. Look forward to seeing your next adventure. Loved you tour of Northumberland 💗🥾
good on yer nick. your passion is there for us all to see . another marathon day thought we were going to see the emergency bivvy get christened lol. you'd make a good walking magazine scribe, you must be reaping the rewards fitness wise for your efforts . good stuff cheers. oh forgot to say canny bit of foraging to keep the vitamin levels up.
Loved the way that ended Nick. Full on and far out mate. A bit of bog bashing on top but other than that straight going - well not straight. Up and down and in and out also. You had a good day for it largely - the views were fabulous. I gotta say I use a brolly to. It's keeping dry that's the thing. Any way, thoroughly enjoyable. Take care. Mark
@@NorthernWayfarer-Alice A pleasure Nick. I enjoyed this one. As you say lots of adventure. I would do night navex when in Aldershot and up in Sennybridge. I have good memories and of course I've found myself out there at night on other occasions. So, I get your vibe there. Not to worry on my video. In your own time. I wish you all the best with the job hunting.
I'm exhausted and my feet ache just watching you. Brilliant film.

Always enjoy seeing those big sky hikes, high up in the hills!
Nice to see some blue sky your way.. we've been soaking in every ounce of summer we can here in Canada. Keep given er!
Great effort. I’m another who would have found resisting the temptation of the escape routes tough.

Great Views
Thanks for changing the music. 🙏🏻
You’re knackered 🤪
Enjoyed this 👍🏻
Nick folk type would be great. I see lots of channels that never have copyright issues. Not sure who they use or from where?
