I agree. I think this was still valuable as another look at how to play starlight and provided insight into thinking about these early turns, but yeah another video about taking blight to scale would be appreciated haha.
I like your videos, but in my opinion this video is not very beginner-friendly. And only beginners need to know how to take blight to scale. Are there no low complexity spirits where you can showcase the blight to scale principle? I still learned a lot, but I never played Starlight so it was very hard for me to follow, and I've played like 50 games of Spirit Island so I wouldn't call myself a beginner either.
Starlight looks daunting, but once you understand that the complexity stems from drafting, it gets much more manageable. Being able to pick 3 growth options makes you really flexible, able to respond to almost anything.
I've been loving the miscellaneous videos. It makes me realize how little I know about Spirit Island 😅
I like to use the MTG phrase "Life is a resource" for blight. In a way every blight left unplaced is lost potential.
Unless you're playing for like a score/challenge! (such as the Steam app gives you a score after a game and blight off the card are negative points)
