    This is truth. I'm a reformed Southern Baptist, but if I know anything, it is that this is truth. Pray for me.

      Southern Baptist or not, pray the Rosary. It's not idolatry or spiritualism in the way you've probably grown up thinking of it. Mary is alive in Heaven, not dead. Those who pray "to" her, or any one of the Catholic saints, are not doing so in the Protestant sense of the word. Rather, we ask her, as one quite alive, even more alive, than any fellow Christian on earth, to intercede for us in prayer to Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior. God will answer your prayer. There's a definite reason why, as you so aptly note, Fr. Ripperger speaks the truth. And yes, I'm glad to pray for you!

      +Marie Katherine // I have come to believe and know what you are articulating about seeking the intercessions of the Mother of our Lord and of His Saints is true, and have found it to be biblical, historical, and true. Thank you for your prayers.

    "Interior Freedom" is being able to accept God's mercy, forgive yourself and move on with your life! There are those who can forgive everybody else for their big black sins but can't forgive themselves for theirs, thinking they should have been beyond what they have done. That is actually arrogance and pride. Forgive yourself already; God already has!!! If God has forgiven you, how dare you not forgive yourself! Now, live a life free of attachments. Live like a Zen Buddhist.
    Years ago, I received the information Fr. Ripperger is giving in this video in a dream, not in words, but through a sort of osmosis that went right through me -- conveyed in the blink of an eye. I guess I was too obtuse to "get it" any other way! I have been forever grateful. Fr. Ripperger's explanation is right on target.

    Alexander Duvall: Faith comes BEFORE understanding; not after (St.Anselm: "Fides Quaerens

    however long or brief a moment). Do this daily for a week ( .. or more). He is THERE. ("I will not leave you orphans". ".. and I will be with you until {time is no more)"; also John Chap. 6). We do not save ourselves by ourselves (heresy of Pelagianism). Praying is not "thinking much but loving much" (St.Teresa of Avila: " (It) is nothing other than an intimate friendship, a frequent

      Caprica City I believe I understand what you asked and were going through. I hope you’ve found your answer and PEACE about this.
      I experienced this over 20 years ago in my early 20s after having a conversion to Christ while being married. When I truly accepted God’s forgiveness and grace and surrendered my whole life to seeking and doing His will for me, I understood the scripture reading that said that unless we forsake our spouse, children, etc. we cannot be a disciple. Allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you personally as you examine your relationship with your significant other and God. God showed me that I loved my husband sooo much that would choose him over God’s will in my life. True peace came to me when I told God I would be willing to give up my husband if that was His will. He then assured me that I was created to be my husbands help meet and that God desires for the family on earth to be a reflection of His love for us. I could then truly see my husband as the wonderful gift from God that he really was. And I could listen to the Holy Spirit to guide me to be the best wife I could be, knowing that my marriage was truly a sacrament and Blessed. I hope that helps someone.

    Is this strange? Often, I can't differentiate between anger and fear. In fact, I did not consciously recognize anger in myself until age 13. Before then, all negative passions were perceived as fear or shame. How does this affect ability to forgive and to achieve inner peace? I know I have many attachments because feelings of fear and anxiety are easily re-awakened upon having new experiences similar to those that frightened me in childhood. It happens automatically, without forethought or will on my part. How can that over which I have no control be sinful? I lose the ability to reason well and become ill, both emotionally and physically.

    St. Paul says in his epistle to the Romans, that we will be a slave to whatever we obey. In this, we see two poles: 1) Unhealthy over examination of sin, and 2) Unhealthy piety.
    In another epistle he says that we are free to do all things, BUT not all things are beneficial.
    This tells me, at least, that there is a degree of freedom that we can enjoy, as long as it is not taken to extremes. As Fr. Ripperger says, the demons are ok with "anything but God" and "anything but moderation."

    Someone please help. How is it possible to love God for His sake? God is unchanging, so nothing that I do helps Him. Nothing can be for His sake, because nothing that I do can impact Him. What I do only impacts other people and I. Is that right?

    • @andrewcote8559
      @andrewcote8559 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      God created us to love Him, and everyone, including our loved ones and our adversaries, for His sake, not for our sake or theirs. True, the fact that God, being infinitely perfect in every way, is all love, all good, all charity, all just and all merciful, means that He doesn’t require our love devotion and obedience to be happy and fulfilled - He has everything in the knowledge of His own perfection and through the Holy Trinity. But, just because we can’t improve Him, doesn’t mean He doesn’t delight in us striving to be like Him - the peen ultimate example being His Saints. I struggled with a similar type of spiritual/intellectual dead end as what you’re facing. Through the intercession of Our Lady, praying her Holy Rosary daily, the Morning Consecration Prayer to Jesus, and the 3 Hail Mary’s and Chastity Prayer morning and night, the prayers of others and the help of a strong spiritual director, I came to understand that the sanctification of my soul, praying for those of others, fulfilling my state in life, making every life decision though Our Lady, for the pleasure of The Adorable Will of Jesus, are what I have control of. This focus is helping me to be “a good son’”, and keeping me away from being “prodigal.” Through God’s Grace, I will endeavor to continue, and pray, work, rejoice and suffer, all for the Greater Glory of the Father, with my reward being the sanctification of my soul, and if
      He deems me worthy, to one day, rest, happily in the place His Son has prepared for me. Dominus vobiscum, ad semper; in aeternam - The Lord be with you, always...

      Loving doesn't mean to positively impact another being. Loving is embracing connection. We embrace our connection to God through our participation in His Church through specific riites and rituals He gave us. Most central to these sacraments is the Holy Mass. The other sacraments and a life of prayers to the Blessed Mother will most quickly develop our love for God. We must pray for charity which is loving God for his own sake. God knows that once we truly love Him we will have fulfilled our purpose in life.

      Charismatic renewal is contrary to the tradition of the church. It is a fruit of Vatican 2, which is responsible for destroying the truth amd faith that Christ has taught and handed down through the Apostles to His faithful through the Religious

    Freedom - the word - is a trick of Satan.
    How?
    Just as SATAN'S greatest friend is the one who doesn't believe he exists, NO HUMAN BEING will EVER begin to know "freedom" until he experiences the INDESCRIBABLE, yet, very PHYSICAL bondage that is SIN.
    Our Blessed Lord gave us the Confessional so that we may feel - EVEN IF JUST A TINY SLIVER - true freedom, as we pray our Penance.
    Performing our Penance, brothers and sisters, is only the beginning of freedom.

    Saint Matthew 8:20-22
    A scribe approached and said to him, “Teacher,* I will follow you wherever you go.”
    Jesus answered him, “Foxes have dens and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man* has nowhere to rest his head.”
    Another of [his] disciples said to him, “Lord, let me go first and bury my father.”
    * But Jesus answered him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their dead.”

    I've been a Christian all my life and always frustrated with the idea that spirituality must suspend logic. The misconstrued idea of faith has led people to act in ways that drive other people away from Christ. This priest is one in a few that shows that intellect is part of our human nature and that Christ will align us to God with our limited capacity joined to divine grace. It's not magic it's not that we are made special it's that we are ordinary flawed humans brought to the truth and sustained by it.

    You can be "perfectly virtuous" and STILL suffer from a wound....especially a wound like rape. It is evil to tell people that they are suffering because they are not perfectly virtuous. Even Saints suffer, indeed they suffer more, the difference is: they don't Despair.

      Our vices harm us and therefore make us suffer, it is true. Not being perfectly virtuous just means that we still succumb to our vices/defects (they still have power over us) and our virtues are underdeveloped. 🤷🏼‍♀️

    God told us that we need to first of all to love him with our hearts and minds and soul and so I am sorry Fr Riggerger who seems to be I hope only in my own mind to be following only St. Thomas on how to exercise his judgment in agreement with others about the truth when another being discussed later about saw an image unexpected during that moment in which a learning activity changed from study to a presented percieved by the recipient surprised with an accusation like for example an unholy attachement to the presenter who has redefined an English word in academia halls along with other words like gender who am I to judge someone's emotional reaction to a presentation like that? St. Thomas admitted to all that when it came to for example being a jurist while trying to use his own reasoning abiliity compared to the Lord's he was only like a bull creature. And so during a pandemic while all of the rules are being changed from day to day each and every one of us has to be ready with our own shortcomings with the desire of loving one another in the Lord no matter what that is going to look like to the world. And so although St. Thomas was uncharismatic at times he was no less of a saint anymore than saint Stephen was less of a saint when being able to endure actual rocks thrown at him one right after another without getting enraged. So yes it is very simple. Judging another only for the sake of yourself being able to get further ahead or for getting revenge because of your own dissapointment is not contrary to the way the intellect was designed to function it is instead choosing malice which to do so needs a person to leave part of your being out of that 'ekuation' which includes leaving out one or more out of e of your own body, your own mind and your own soul behind when assesing that kind of image as it changes frame by frame in real time instead. It is far more merciful to shout a warning and while doing so forgive at the same time during extenuating circumstances while you are shouting that warning our instead of being over-cooperative instead long enough to have 'proof' of wrongdoing instead.

    Ok... but... imagine this: a man says to a woman: would you marry me? Not because of us, WOMAN! for God's sake! I'm too detached from all these feelings. I choose you intellectually to win points for Heaven. It looks good on my Heaven resume and I'll sleep with you after that but not because I want to either, for God's sake! ....Wow so spiritual!
    I'll stick to the Song of Songs version of love, because these intellectual high concepts are bit like trying to win a game of how to get to Heaven and achieve high ranking points. Not quite sure God wants us to approach life witch such disregard for our feelings and others. You'll even end up loving God not because you want to but because it's a system and you need to win.

    This is a new and incorrect teaching that asserts that a person is not guilty of mortal sin when they murder someone...because they did not know it was a "mortal sin." Those fools who teach this never read the Bible, nor the Catechism. The Bible says that God's Law (i.e. the natural law = commandments 4-10) are written on mankind's heart...so that no one has an excuse. They have borrowed the definition of sacrilege and applied it to every mortal sin...and that is a false teaching. If a person was innocent of mortal sin - provided no one taught them that such and such was a "mortal sin" - then the missionaries caused many souls to go to Hell by telling them what were mortal sins. You can see how stupid this false teaching is. Fr. Ripperger, please read this.

    • @gtibruce
      @gtibruce 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Irrespective of how you look or put it. Everyone has / had the chance of reading the bible and in it is the 10 commandments of God and 1 of the mortal sins he says you should not commit is "Tho shalt not kill" it doesn't need any fancy theology from any minister or christian denomination let alone from this we all instinctively have a natural conscience of knowing right from wrong. So not only did the natives know before the missionary's reached them but after was confirmed to their barbarous souls !
