- Whether it be from inside or outside the Church, there is always great interest found in exorcism and the demonic. Is this problematic?
In the Drawing Flame's newest episode, Dr. Breuninger and Dr. Owens interview renowned exorcist Fr. Vincent Lampert from the Archdiocese of Indianapolis to answer this concern and more. In the podcast, they do not merely discuss exorcism, but more so seek guidance on how an exorcist's experience and perspective can help guide a Christian on the path toward Christ. Fr. Lampert explains that the way to steer from evil is not through some extraordinary way, but through ordinary means.
Through an authentic life of prayer and relationship with God and through the sacraments, we have nothing to fear. We think Satan has so much power in our world, but it is nothing compared to God and through simply living the virtuous life of a Christian.

Pray for Fr. Lampert! He’s a treasure 🙏🏽
What I love about Fr Lampert is that he has a sense of humour drier than a desert. Suddenly will drop a joke in when you least expect it.
I love the fact that as a Christian psychologist you recognize the possibility that some mentally ill patients may be suffering from various degrees of the demonic. I work in a clinic where faith in God is not ever considered part of the patient's therapy yet one that so many poor souls could benefit from.
Fr. Ripperger has a program where they are working with Psychologists. Have you heard?
Scary/frustrating story from me: I’m an ER nurse and once I was taking care of a young woman who was anxious about everything despite having a rather benign complaint and normal vital signs. However, we were still going to do a work up to make sure we weren’t missing anything glaring. Long story short, I had to really be patient while doing anything in her room and allow her a lot of time to process how we were going to care for her. After she calmed down and thanked us for our patience, I looked to see if she had ever seen anyone regarding her anxiety. It turns out that she had issues with this for many years and to my surprise, one nurse practitioner actually recommended that she address her spiritual needs by looking into REIKI or YOGA. 🤦♂️
I said a prayer to St. Michael as soon as I read that.
i've been a mental health patient. i knew i needed spiritual help from my practitioners but i knew there was no way i was going to get it. it was terrible. they kill people doing what they do.
@@claytonhall989 ikr? They're so quick to recommend yoga, but never say anything about prayers. The rosary for example is great for anxiety, since it's repetitive and involves using fingers to feel a physical object and repeat simple motions. But I guess religion is offensive nowadays so they just go yoga for everyone.
@@conantheseptuagenarian3824that's why you need to go to a church, preferable Catholic to get the Holy Spirit, go to mass, confession, join prayer ministries and you will feel change happen in your life. Find multiple sources for the support you need, don't just rely on one source, God bless 🙏✝️🙏
NOW, this is VERY interesting!
love Fr.Lampert!
Father Lampert is so so so AWESOME! He’s the kind of guy who quietly glows… his sense of humor, his humility, his good sense.. he’s my kind of saint. This is such a delightful interchange, thank you so much for all the questions that just cast a new angle on Fr L and his life and work!
Commenting while just beginning this video. I love Fr. Vincent Lampert!
I’ve seen multiple interview with Fr. Lampert. This is the first time I’ve ever heard him really laugh. It’s good to see he’s got a sense of humor.
Father Lampert brings an extraordinary sense of real peace with him whenever I see him speak. This really is so soothing in the midst of what is happening in the world. He keeps your mind on the Way, the Truth, ad the Light...as the 1st, last, and final refuge!
I really like Father Lampert!
Thank you Fr. Lampert.
One of the Best podcasts. I've watched in a long time ...a lot of good information, a lot of intelligence, a lot of kindness. great sharing with 3 wonderful men. Father Lambert, you're a wonderful Priest...You're always in my prayers.❤🙏
Just finished this wonderful video. All three of you were fantastic, and I don't think I have ever seen Fr. Vincent Lambert have so much fun in an interview. You all did a great job!
You guys should invite Fr. Ripperger next. His philosophy in mental health and spirituality is incredible.
He's not any more qualified to speak on it than Fr Lambert
@audreykunkel He is also excellent. I would enjoy hearing from him and Father Dan Reehill too.
@@ruthgilmour8399 if you want to hear from him he's all over TH-cam. Traditional Catholic media is saturated by Fr Ripperger
@@audreykunkelhe is equally qualified
@@catholicconvert2119he is all over already. He has given more talks than all other exorcists combined. Is there anything he hasn't talked about? If you listen to this talk, you will hear Fr. Lambert point out some imprudent behaviors of Fr Ripperger
Fr. Vincent Lampert❤❤
One of the most interesting interviews with the exorcist Ive seen in years !
Cant stand listening the same thing over and over again. This one is so different !
Jesus the Lord met us here on Earth where we are at!
We must do the same with fellow humans no matter where we are.
We are ALL humans.😊
Love listening to Fr Vincent - he’s fantastically composed, articulate and patient and has a real ability to explain the extra ordinary in ordinary terms. I find him facinating
Love Fr Lampert! Ty for this wonderful discussion
Great interview!!!
Enjoyed every minute...!
It strenghted my faith. God is always in control.
I thank the LORD for Fr Lampert. I have gained so much from listening to him, Carlos Martins and Chad Ripperger over the years. I never learned anything like this from the Church of England and that is a sad, sad thing to say.
Excellent episode, watched twice.
🙏🙏🙏🧡🙏🙏🙏 together with ny husband we learned to pray the rosary in Latin and we pray it every day 🙏🧡
Wonderful, Dr. Taylor teaches all the prayers in Latin.
Psychology and theology 🥰
Reason can be a wonderful thing - when and if used.
Read Dominion by Fr. Ripperger!
Very excellent questions asked! Great interview
I think "go and sin no more" is the perfect justification for the confessional. One of my favorite lines. We have to remember many of these kids are "just playing around" with what they think is "energy." Many of them haven't "sinned" in a manner that would hurt their mental health, for example... So there exists a way to recovery for many of them!!
Why not hear this priest and Fr Ripperger and Fr. Blount…etc! All talk together!
Round table….
That would be amazing!!!!
That will never happen. FrRipperger is in schism.

Fr Lampert, Fr Ripperger & Msgr Rossetti. 3 Exorcists I trust.

Fr. Lampert is great!
Very good point on spiritual warfare prayers.
Amazing interview ! I’ve heard Father many times and you asked such poignant questions that I learned many new things! God is so good ❤🎉. Thank you !
I love Fr VInce, and I understand what he's saying about God being love and all that... but at the end of the day, God is definitely somebody to be feared. He don't mess around, when he lays down a judgment it's done. If you're not living in accordance to how he wants us to live .. and believe me, very few if any of us are, he is definitely to be feared.
Preach brother
Fr.Vincent did say that God should be feared.( I don't think you were listening) 😕 When you decide to leave your life of sin, God is always there to receive you with open arms, unlike satan who will make you suffer more. Judgment is layed down when the flesh dies and goes to hell but on earth God gives us a chance to confess and repent.
@@Milkchocolate99 Don't pretend like you know anything about me... or my "Life of sin"... You have ZERO idea how I live my life.

So glad you're saying this about films. Also... I was reading Harry Potter to "keep up with the times" about 20 years ago at age 38 and gave up at about book 4 (can't recall the title) because to me it had become dark and malevolent. I chucked them all out.
Serious and had a good laugh. Bless u all and Fr thank you eternally for taking on the job. God directed your higher up to you and you're doing great holy work.
Brilliant minds.
Let Fr. Talk!
I would like to have heard much more from Fr Lampert.
My volume screen keeps popping up and sliding down, so I can't hear it. I think it finally is going to stay. 😮
I just did battle 15 days 24/7 I heard the demons & felt them & suffered the warfare , but I Felt the angels presents, and because they don’t do harm. Or talk or make ruckus or poke you I’ll give you the spiderwebs feeling all over or do any of the things lower beings do , They are much more quiet. But you can sense them wrestling and battling and putting mud in their mouth of the enemy ,, to shhush them up but they were there, battling for my protection . The 24/7 voices stopped & j was delivered from being followed home & the attachment left .💕🙏💕🌹

Man i went on a weekend party binge when i was 30 maybe and the last day i walked into a room while people were smoking weed and i walked in hungover etc. and inhad this intrusive thiught that haunted me for yrs until i googled ppl had it and i listened to hundreds of deliverence videos. Now.. 10 yrs later. I recovered? Not partying like I did but i sometimes
Think it was that high that opened some door. I was in a hotel im not sure if there was bad spirits there or whatever but it caused bad intrusive thoughts for years.
Please make the sound louder.
Sounds pretty loud on my end.
You will find out one day why you need to pray and fast before praying for some people!
For myself I can't understand how people in the world can truly lie to themselves. Remove the distortion of the world what we are all creation... GOD will come natural. I petition GOD to punish this world to wake them up, evil is the ruler of this world your Church needs his intersession.

I love Fr. Lambert and how he comes from a place of Love. When you pray the rosary, our desire for watching murder and death changes..I. Myself can't remember when I watched anything that wasn't wholesome. It just doesn't interest me. But I'll be tuning into your podcasts from now on .
Is it just me, or does it seem like some shots were fired at Padre Ripperger?
The thumbnail looks like they’re making a plan run into a haunted house or something cooky like that lol ❤
How can you have images of the Holy Spirit as you have suggested. No one sees God unless one sees Christ incarnate.
It is called art and human imagination. Are you an iconoclast?
Generational curses as you are saying are true. I had a generational curse of a form of “Witchcraft “. Although my Grandmother was a Christian who truly believed in Christ she also practiced “Pow Wow “ which was prevalent in Pennsylvania. I had to break that generational curse off through Christ Jesus.
This was passed down from generation to generation. My Grandma refused to have me taught about it. I believed in God & Jesus since 3 years old. I can remember.
My Church gave me a Bible in 5 th grade & I began reading since then. I realized it was witchcraft & told my Mother not to be involved with it.
What time is your converse make your best Catholics
Fr. Ripperger said, “ Children get possessed from reading Harry Potter”.
Can you site where he said that? I’ve seen a video where he says if the child isn’t well catechized it can be a doorway to the occult.
Give em Christ
By His power demons are cast out.
Some people can "see" Jesus and know who they're seeing. These people that participate consciously in this intercession are mostly monastics and highly purified people. Most of us, if we have that encounter, it's only through our Guardian Angel, and we realize who the person was a while after, like maybe the next day. Our behavior and words do count though :))
That's why so many Catholics are apostatizing from Holy Mother Catholic Church! We want bombastic, drive-thru, special effects miracles, redemption, healing, and prosperity as we manifest abundance, intentionality, and light.
I'm going through the worst pain and darkest period of my life. The PERFECT EXORCISM is the sacrament of confession. It took me years to finally forgive and repent of all my regressions, then the 4 people most dearest to my heart betrayed me. Cooncidence? Think NOT!!
No adventure on this earth will ever permanently fulfill you until you travel within and deal with it.
The smoker you drink, the player you get. Proven.
What if no one listens to you? I see all these exorcists making rounds so who is out doing the swrving of the flock? Because i have begged for just a visit as a consultantion, so to speak, for years now. Pls pray for my sons husband and myself if possible.
They're passing everyone off om psychiatrists and making the stigma a thousand times worse.
Your son’s husband? He is gay? That’s mortal sin and evil. I’ll pray for their conversion and salvation.
What percentage of people who call themselves Catholic frequent Confession? 5%?
Why do Catholic Influencers, many priests and bishops, continually tell us not to sin by judging the other 95% who either
1. Do not think they ever sin or need to go to Confession or repent personally
2. Just simply do not like Christ's Church or any demanding religion
3. Or only care about Christ's Church enough to want to see it repent and change its ways away from Chrit's Way.
When are Catholic leaders going to admit that the vast majority of the world does not love them or the Bride of Christ, and never will? It's okay. Jesus told us this 2000 years ago. The world did not love him either. We need to just be faithful to our singular focus on Jesus and let those who are attracted to how that looks, join us. Otherwise, we will find ourselves falling off the cliff with the world.
Because shut up?
Preach brother go become a priest
Is it not better to pray for CONVERSION than to cast aspersion?

The demonic or only inner panic in people who have little say whenever hearing very loud noises during both construction (or war)? Like for example those horses who got away to be charging here and there willy nillly in the city of London recently. Since memories of dramatic experiences are last to fade during life a lot can happen when it comes to panic attacks or instead the reaction to panic called rage during schemas learned to become automatic behavior response. Men who fought on front lines of wars sometimes ended up at first diving under the coffee table the first time hearing a vaccumm cleaner again at home running in another room. What about the main demonic spirit at work in the world today which is called obsession with weapons becoming bigger and 'better'?
Yes. Post traumatic stress syndrome is surprisingly common and can arise from many different traumas
@@boomct8569 Isn't it about time we stopped focusing only on percieving that kind of mental illness as evidence of the demonic while ignoring the real demonic spirit at work spanning the globe that causes it which is called obsession with bigger and 'better' weapons to go with more land titles spanning over a wider range with no real care about how our environment is being managed? Some of those same leaders are greenwashing that all over when calling for only limited means of reducing carbon emissions that omits all associated with the military.
I don't like the guy on the right...read the room, man. The priest and the psychologist are on point and interesting.

One’s does not have the authority to “sell their soul” as it does not belong to them. It belongs to God and God alone. Therefore it is not theirs to sell. That would be like selling your neighbors car when your name is not on the title. It is not a legal transaction. However- while one does not have the authority to sell their soul to Satan or anyone else for that matter- they can however give up their FREE WILL to Satan. And one’s WILL once handed to Satan are no longer acting on their own accord- Their WILL has become that of Satan to carry out Satan’s will by one’s body, words, and actions. Their WILL is now Possessed by Satan or whichever Demon or Entity they gave their Free will to.
No that’s not quite correct. Yes no one has authority to sell their soul as it’s God’s but the will is always free. All the exorcists I’ve ever read/ listened to say possession is the control of the body. Not the soul. Our wills are always free. Fr Chad Ripperger talks more in depth about this, he has said that there are some possessed he works with who are actually so holy because their will is in line with God even though their bodies have been possessed. But some people who are possessed though are happy to be so and can’t be helped, just as Jesus didn’t work many miracles among those who had no faith. But the will is always free (though our freedom might be diminished through psychological suffering and might be much weakened as sin makes our wills weaker and intellect darker etc). Satan does not inhabit the Will. It’s off limits. He can only suggest and manipulate other things to influence our choice to be what he wants but he can’t make that decision for us. As Fr John Hardon said ‘The Will has power over the will’ - meaning our will is ours. We always have a choice.
Instead of sell their soul, just think of it in terms of eternal destruction and/or damnation. If you think of it like that, than ya, they do. So be very careful what you teach and tell people.
Your PhD in theology is from where again...?
The Holy Spirit *is as a fact* a white dove when we do get to see it. I'm not sure Dr. Owens does realize this fact. As there's two types of poetry, one in which metaphors are loose, and the other in which they aren't!!
Why does FR CHAD ACCEPT THAT NON CHRISTIANS can have graces outside the Mediation of Jesus Christ. He refers non Christians back to their rabbis/Imams.
I think you misunderstand the Catholic position on this. All grace comes through Christ. He's the source (mediator). That said, Christ does give grace to people who don't know about Him. Whether they consciously understand anything about Christ, they can receive grace. Old testament miracles prove this fact.
So converts are converyted on their own power! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah that’s a big mistake
Because God saves whom He will. He is sovereign, not us.
