Quick question have you made a video changing from factory Chevy touch screen to aftermarket touch and keeping factory back camera and over head DVD player. Plan on changing factory radio in my 07 Chevy suburban
Depends on how the turn signal was generated with the factory radio. If those sounds were created and played through the factory speakers, then the harness will replicate that from the smart module itself (not through the new radio). If the noise was created from a separate dedicated speaker behind the dash, then it will continue to function as such.
One thing worth mentioning that may not matter to everyone but it certainly matters to me... The Crux interface adapter does NOT support RAP (Retained Accessory Power). The Crux adapter is configured to keep the radio on until the key is pulled out of the ignition. If you turn the truck off leaving the key in the ignition the Crux will NOT shut off the radio when you open the door like the factory radio. The aftermarket radio will be on indefinitely likely causing a dead battery. If you ALWAYS take your keys out of your car probably a non-issue but for me it is a non-starter.
Who the heck leaves their keys in the ignition indefinitely? 99.9% of all people take their keys with them, so this is a non-issue for nearly everyone but you.
