Probably the best review of this mic I've seen. I like the mini SD card recording and the remote camera activation. But the reverb was truly dreadful!!! Rx of this type often don't work with thick cases. And it's NOT iphone/android compatible. You have to choose at purchase.
The audio quality varied according to position on your blouse. Close to your mouth it's great. Not so hot mid chest level.

Hey, you're doing another great presentation of a video product. I recently purchased the Fulaim X5 and am satisfied, and I think the quality is about the same as this Hohem Mic 01. May I say you have a beautiful voice, and you are very attractive woman, but okay, that's just a compliment. Thanks for this very informative microphone presentation. Had this for a week, and the feature set was pretty good (external mics, onboard recording, and a very light receiver ideal for gimbals), and sound quality decent for a sub-$150 device (a little noisy, but can be cleaned up easily.The Rode Wireless Go2, is better, but much pricier) but I returned it because I was disappointed that there is no way to get a stereo wireless signal over the USB-C plug, just both mics panned centrally. This means you cannot mix 2 microphones, and cannot gate the mic of the person that isnt speaking. As everyone reviewing it is a solo TH-camr, people dont seem to be picking up on this.
You can try 3-way sync between Video, Laudio, Raudio from the memory cards ... maybe not easy?
Clipped sounded better. A bit too much echo otherwise. Might be your studio. Sounded way better outside.
The backup is quite handy. I am a bit sceptical of the mic position. Top would be better imho especially for surpressing wind noise. But the fur should do a good job as well.
I wonder when those mic developers discover that they can put multiple mics on. Together with some software trickery they can do awesome noise cancellation just like todays smartphones that sound fantastic with super little mics.
i think my studio is a bit echoey...😅

- 32-bit float
- stability/range
- 3.5mm input with low signal-to-noise ratio
and the less plastic the better

Hello, thank you for the great review! Wondering if this will work with DJI Pocket 3? Thanks.... I'm finding that some products are expensive for import shipping. I wanted DJI mics but too expensive for now. Any recommendations other than Hohem or is this more bang for the Baht?

just plug and it works just like how it would with a smartphone. plug and go!
It sound really good and it is also really cheap compared to DJI and other brands. Really love Hohem products.

Not much audio quality in this one! It's like wavey, don't know how to explain. It's not a consistent sound. I do have some middle quality headphones, but still, the sound is just not worth it form my point of view!
There's a kind of roughness to the sound. Maybe it's because she has the gain up too high. I was on the verge of buying one of these, but this video is certainly making me pause.
