It does indeed seem that we want to suffer. I have experienced the most wonderful oneness, love, peace and happiness at times
when I am infinity itself. Once I tried to explain to a friend what it felt like and I said that I had been in a “state” that I would be happy to
remain in for the rest of my life. Yet I didn’t/couldn’t. it seems that the illusory self, in its attempt to survive, won’t let us let go of suffering. It needs us to suffer for its own survival. it’s crazy that having experienced ‘nirvana” we don’t stay there. There is nothing in reality stopping us from doing so.

No state lasts. It's the attachments to different states that cause suffering. We can't feel happy all the time; it's not our biology. What we do on this path is surrender to all the ups and downs of emotional experience to allow it all to flow through us. One thing that tremendously helps me stay aware and observe my reactions is to think of any thought, physical sensation, or emotion as an established wiring through which energy flows with great ease. That's essentially what a habit is.
I don’t think suffering is a choice; rather, we simply don't know any better. To change our reactions, we must cut the old wiring and build new ones. To sever the old connections, one needs to stay alert and do whatever helps to redirect the energy flow. Movement of any kind, even just a walk, helps significantly-it's actually crucial.
Breathing, tapping, Tosha Silver's prayers, cold showers, and meditation are various methods that help redirect energy at different times.
Trying to stop suffering by simply choosing to do so may not work for many people. It certainly didn't for me.
Maybe I am missing the point of your video, but I found it a bit strange that you used the word ‘insane’ to describe someone who is in fact asleep.
I find your blog posts helpful, this video not so much.

Thanks for sharing. This is why I offer the one-on-one work that I do. I help people understand the nature of suffering and choice. Otherwise, people are stuck thinking they're making a choice when they are not. Ignorance is a powerful blocker, but it also actually isn't blocking anything. The perception that we don't have choice or that we're too asleep/unconscious to make choices isn't true. We are afraid to change.
And then there are plenty of people who deeply realize that they have a choice to suffer or not and that they can change, but they CHOOSE SUFFERING. And it is primarily because it is familiar.

Thanks. We have a choice to suffer or not. It's up to us to make that choice.

i like to use the word "create" everytime im "suffer", because you only suffer when your inside is in conflited,, if we realize all that suffer its we who created it to experience it wed not feel heavy but actually enjoy the experience even if its painful.
let go of victim mentailty can speed up our process like crazy
