If you buy the replacement LCD with glass already attached it won't be this hard, you could buy one for about 100 on ebay and put it on, this method he's doing only costs maybe 10 bucks, but look at the labor

He changed the digitizer, not the amoled display. The digitizer has nothing to do with the brightness .
