John, you have a way of making every car you talk about "the greatest ever" "nothing else like it." Hell of a salesman and truly passionate about these cars.
I'm this way with one of my vehicles, which is still new with just 2 miles on the odo. I've gone way above and beyond just all of the original stuff to collecting literally everything from that year's accessory catalog (from covers to watches to shirts, etc), to all sales/marketing materials (brochures from other countries, posters, etc), every magazine it was ever written about in (in ALL languages), dealership memorabiliailia (only for that year), VHS, DVD, CDs, every model in every size and variation made, dealer service diagnostic tool kits, microfiche machine and microfiche sheets, the list goes on and on. An entire room of my house is just for displaying everything and the vehicle is in my living room. It's lifted just up off the tires on a giant custom mat/rug and I've even created a recommissioning notebook for un-doing all of the preservation that was done to it and that I continue to do as I learn more over the decades about material science and museum-level conservation. I fuss about it like you wouldn't believe with the softcover kept on, UV tint on my living room windows, shades, controlling the temp and humidity, etc. I tell my house keeper if she ever gets near it or enters that memorabilia room, she's gone (in joking, she's great and respects it). I'll tell you, I think it makes my Porsche and other vehicles that are kept in the garage jealous :D It would be in my bedroom if it weren't for the humidity from showers. The couple of times I've ever had to move it/roll it I fussed over the tires because all of the vent spews are in place and perfect, I don't want any breaking off or dirt touching the rubber. I used plastic on the tires and those wheel jack dollys. When I die if my son sells it, I promise you will will set an auction record for it's class that will be unbelievable. Most will never even understand the level of dedication for an object of such mechanical beauty. ..... and before everyone complains it's like not sleeping with my wife for the next guy, I have another one identicle that I do.
I freaking love nerdy stuff like this. I passed on a 964 from Japan, great spec, but had zero documentation or history. To me, knowing the history and having those items are incredibly valuable. I ended up finding another 80s 911 that had documents since new, catalogs from the dealership and a limited edition brochure for it. Yes. I am a car nerd.
Another banging video, I just love the production and content you do so much. Makes me love and appreciate cars I will never own as I feel your passion
I would stop by nelson automotive in Marysville, ohio every summer on my way to cedar point back in the late 90's. The staff was always super friendly about letting you look around the showroom. I have so many pictures from my visits. One is me standing next to a yellow Diablo sv touching the wheel to prove I touched a real lamborghini back then haha. It was so weird to pull up and see a standard chrysler/ dodge dealership with dodge neon's and rams and then there are ferrari's and lamborghinis in the showroom. They had a Diablo svr and an lm002 on one of my visits. Now I gotta go dig up my old photos...
Very cool story, car and video. Amazing car. Am I the only one that noticed John pull things out of packages and binder sleeves and not put them back the exact same way they were taken out? Not a big deal but if I were the new owner I'd be cringing as I watched that

Love the red on that car. Incredible.

What kind of car is it?
@@krisbroneill5633I’m curious now too! This guy’s dedication is pretty cool
All that and you don't even mention what special vehicle it is?

That’s so cool to see all the original stuff like that. Truly a time capsule

Loved this one. Keep doing what you are doing.
Those goodies that he kept from the day he purchased and picked the car, so cool!

Went there from Sidney, Ohio, more than once!
Shout out to Nelson Auto group! Loved visiting their showroom to see all the Diablos (and Vipers) in period.
Wonderful story. We’re pretty sentimental down here!
Beautiful Lamborghini Diablo SV ❤❤❤❤
pretty amazing
I'm in AL. I'd love to see this car in person.
Might be Birmingham or a coastal area. Huntsville never had any Diablo SVs to my knowledge.

Immaculate
I like cars but not a car guy. But i am a collector of other things and understand 110% of what he did.
Ah, the local Nelson Plymouth/Lamborghini dealer.. lol nice
😂 I am a car nerd 🙋♂️
👨🔧 I'm building my dream V12 supercar with the mercedes m120 😎
Was Nelson in Marysville, Ohio?
Was that car originally in Auburn, Alabama?
The street in front of your store looks to be perpetually under construction.
1.5 x Playback speed for John
I’ve been a car nerd for 45 years. I’m only 50 now. 🤓
