I listened to both in store and fell in love with the Sonos sound, and the Bose iPhone level design. The outstanding musicality of the audio, whole home audio option, and Sonos app design were the difference maker for me.
am hifi listening but I have hiffi speaker myself but I tell you honestly bose is better in sound and movies so that says all enough my speaker easily beats sonos in music and bose again in movies😉

Just got the Sonos today and it's very good. It actually sounds better at home than the store probably because it has walls to bounce sound off of. Also the set up was ridiculously easy. Almost didn't even have to do anything but download the app.
Own Bose 700 and Sonos Arc (full sets). Both are awesome systems. The Bose is the absolute best with music, and the sub is definitely better. But, the Sonos sounds amazing with movies, and the base isn’t bad either. I do hate that you can’t adjust the center channel on the Arc. They both are great!

You mentioned Bluetooth is the only feature that is not available on the Sonos. To my knowledge of looking it up online. The Bose speaker also supports Google Home integration with Chromecast. The Sonos does not have Chromecast. I think if someone is into the Google ecosystem and uses Chromecast this might be a deciding factor. I own the Bose Portable Home speaker and love the the Chromecast function on it and it plays along side all my other Chromecast Audio enabled speakers/receivers as well as the regular Chromecast with Google TV that are not made by Bose of course!!

I have both with surround speakers. Bose with subwoofer has more impact but Sonos with surrounds and sub is more encapsulating (at least in my situation). Bose surround speakers with a detached power brick is a no go. And don't forget the app experience where Sonos has a huge advantage. Bose is trying in terms of software but not there yet. Build quality of Bose bar feels superior. I prefer Sonos because of ease of use and integration. Overall sound has more impact with Bose but not by much. Just enjoy whatever you end up with.
Once you pair the bose 900 with the bose bass module, it's GAME OVER!

Bose lost here and in the real world. The Sonos Arc is rated higher by users on the Best Buy and Amazon websites. Sonos is better

I think that the reason is because people often do not have the opportunity to compare them before buying them and when they have it at home it obviously sounds better than what they had, probably the speakers that came with the TV, and they are satisfied with the upgrade. Another reason, and I say this from my own experience, in stores that sell both sets the salesperson always tries to get you to take the SONOS Arc, even though the Bose 900 sounds a thousand times better when you compare them side by side, I'm just starting to think that they get an extra commission if they sell the SONOS bar. The SONOS bar sounds like the sound is coming out of a can, whereas the Bose bar sounds warm, present, and open. There’s really no comparison!! It’s the second time that I make the comparison and I always decide on the Bose over the SONOS for the musical profile. Five years ago was when I compared the Bose soundtouch 300 against the SONOS Playbar, long story short I ended up buying the Bose at that time too. Maybe it's the sound profile that I just don't like.

@@JuanRodriguez-ob8kobose boosts treble and mids. That does not mean a sound system better. And no bose is on the brighter side. Sonos is on the warmer and calmer side.
Boses software sucks terribly along with bose customers suffering with the infamous popping sound from bass module and 700 surrounds. My bose suffered popping surrounds and my ultra, two of them, could never update the firmware.
Surround wise the era 300s dominate the space. Boses surround methods will never touch those.

I listened to both and Bose 900 and the dual module 700 together sound better than the Sonos offering so I bought them, but sonos rears are far better, not even competition, so I’m waiting til Bose catches up to buy rears
I tried those two as well as the Sony HT-A7000 and got the Sony with it’s Bass and rear speakers. It got such a clear sound and knows how to make the most out of what you throw at it
I have a Sony A95k tv, so the Sony At7000 was my choice. I will add the sub and rears at some point.
I stayed with my friends out in west Palm Beach and lived with the Arc for a month and it's awesome for music and movies. I tried the 900 and fell in love with it for movies and gaming so that's what I bought. You really gotta try both and decide for yourself. I paired it with the LG C2 55" module 700, and surrounds. The LG C2 sits low so it helps that it is low profile and I don't see the reflection of the glass because I sit lower than the bar with a slight cant towards me for great Atmos effects. Also I will say that I prefer the design of the Bose more as well it just looks more classy. The arc reminds me of those overhyped Beats Pills from back in the day, lol.

After viewing many reviews and in-store limited listening experience I zeroed down on bose 900. It's absolutely amazing. Personal preference but I like bose better looking and better built as well

I bought both for Black Friday used them both for one week used the Sonos first then then Bose I had a lot of issues with hdmi cec with my Lg oled c1 connected to my ps5,cable,Xbox lots of cut outs honestly thought the sound was better but as soon as I went back to the arc that’s when you understand “you don’t miss something until it’s gone” love the arc. Just buy both and return one sound is pretty subjective.
With speakers only buy what you can hear the difference that sounds good to you. Don’t get hung up on what other people think. I always think of my dad, because he can’t hear the nuances of fine high end speakers. He just wants something that is loud enough, he hears or like mids more than clear highs or deep bass. In short only spend money that you can afford and makes a difference to you, because you’re the one who will be listening to it most.

Just try and hear it side by side with the exact same settings in the store.
To really figure out which one you prefer.

I have both side by side, The sonos in incapable!!!!! don't waste your money. If you don't feed it 5.1 it is useless. The woofer is just lackluster, Barely on. The Bose, even with the smallest woofer sounds better. Voice is better, mids are better Bass is soooo much better with the bass module 700. The sonos cannot keep up. The Bose also has a large volume advantage. I disagree with the reviewer, the Sonos sounds really bad in comparison with music. As for the surrounds, the sonos is more traditional, "sit here and it sounds good" the Bose makes use of omnidirectional speakers so its different, I feel its more true to life. Go listen to both side by side and you will see. The Bose has the same options for multi room so again the reviewer is clearly bias.
Do yourself a huge favor, if you want a bar, go listen to them side by side, not at different stores, compare the same content and decide for yourself. in my opinion BOSE is FAR FAR superior.
As for the app. Bose has a superior ease of use! but dont take my word for it, go see for yourself, try them out and make your own decision. THIS review is BIAS though.

@@lamar310 as I said I have both Side by Side. Go do yourself a favor and go listen to both SIDE by SIDE, I am not saying this because I am a fanboy, I am saying it because I have a continuous experience with both products next to each other and the difference is stark. Furthermore I am pointing out that People like yourself should not just go by reviews because they are not always accurate, they can be bias. As such you should for your own sake listen to the products and form your own opinion.
The problems with listening to both in the store is neither system is optimized for your space. Same for comparing TVs in the store that are not adjusted or calibrated for your home viewing space. Each sound system will perform differently depending on audio sources from stereo, 5.0.2, 5.1.2, 5.2.2, 7.2.4, Atmos, etc... I would add a lot of online reviews to your in store listening.

Definitely Not. Bose 900 had so much issues… never had a soundbar that was this bad.
@@iJuelz08agreed. It was too bad. I got popping on the 700 surrounds and the smart bar ultra never could update its firmware. Over 3 hours and going through hoops to get it to start downloading. I even tried two units both the same problem. I got over it and went to sonos and everything is good with no pop and everything updates no issue.
Sonos Arc handles clarity better when it comes to lets say the film you're watching has lots of ambient noise such as New York street, and there are lots of people. Arc delivers better atmospheric sound clarity. Bose distorts the sound because it doesn't handle bass very well. When you use the sub, bass usually overpowers sound within the environment.
The bose 900 with surrounds and sub blows the other one away, you can also hook two subs up to the bose

Beware of speakers requiring an app. They are not standalone speakers. If the app is crap, which most are, then your speakers won’t perform. Why I returned the Echo Studio.
Just tested in store. Are Sonos paying for these vids?? Bose was the clear winner. Much more powerful and is clearly the more premium looking.

Bose is the boss.
Bose 900 its been terrible for me, goes off repeatedly for me, did all the upgrades and problems persist. Sending to Bose to get service, but the turnaround is at least 4 weeks.

I was a lifelong Bose customer. I bought their top-of-the-line speaker bar five years ago and it broke and they told me that they could no longer fix it and I qualified to purchase a new one at 15% off. I’m sorry over $1000 and it breaks in five years. Bose sucks I am done with them.

It took longer to take everything out the boxes compared to set up time. The Sonos app steps you through everything to add components and Trueplay. Not sure where the complication come in?

Personally, I never understood the hype with Bose. The design is terrible, and to me the sound has never been great. Everyone to their own but not my cup of tea.
Bose is king and i only have the 700
BOSE are good.
But tbh, I think there are some better sounding soundbars out there.
