It's still true though, bloodbath is a kill skill so at any point and time you are unable to get a kill skill. Kreig is still a usable character, and in the right circumstances can feel broken it kinda evens out to him being meh.
Almost every fight in the game has enemies that spawn during the fight or enemies spawned from the boss itself. As long as you use a blister/ legendary reaper class mod for lots more kill skill duration and +5 bloodbath you have a very good uptime giving you 6X damage for almost the whole fight.

When people say "theres only x amount of viable items", I think the root of this idea is that there are some items that are drastically more powerful than the rest, making it feel like you're wasting your time not using them. The line of viability gets hard to determine when you have a gun that instagibs everyone with minimal effort.
Thats how I've always seen it. People look at the cream of the crop and say if it isn't as good as "x" its useless. I'll admit, I'm a hard casual especially these days, but on Zer0 I was getting decently far maining the Hawkeye or Elephant Gun. I just couldn't raid boss, which as said in this video, most builds can't. Even the good ones that can get you by through most of the game.
I’m one of the people even with 3000 hours that thinks there’s not too much build diversity at op10. Lvl80 is fine and you can use anything but op10 you are pretty limited even op8 it wasn’t so bad but Lilith dlc ruined it
Agreed I actually like playing at vanilla 80 no OP levels there’s more builds that are viable and are just silly that you can’t possibly think of using OP 8 and above
UVHM isn't too hard. The only thing that sucks is that SLAG IS A NECESSITY to play the game as intended. This is the main complaint people have about it.
Most RPG games have a mechanic like slag that gives the enemies lower damage reduction. It’s more common than is realized. I mentioned how it’s peoples big complaint, and I hear often enough that “one of there weapons has to be taken up by a slag or moxxi weapon” while both are false. As most characters have skills that can slag like my turret on axton, Zer0’s Kunai and so on. Not to mention slag singularity’s that I talked extensively about.
Well your build also dictates how hard UVHM can be, so with some builds it actually can be agonizing. Whether UVHM is stupidly hard or just a little hard is kind of situational, and player dependent as well, of course, like he said, some people are just bad. Some is probably actually most. It's the same reason there are so many people in Silver in CSGO. A lot of people just plain suck. Additionally, like with Dark Souls, you can really choose how hard it is. You can get a black knight weapon and make it easy mode, or do fists only and suffer. It's really up to you to control your own difficulty. In Borderlands 2, you can use an Unkempt Herold or Pimpernel, or you can use a White rarity garbage poorly parted Jakobs pistol with no shield or grenades, or something. Sure, you won't get far, but the option is still there to do so if you so desire.
@@MrRADicalOfficialdude u made me remember someone sweep the op10 mobbing with underleveled white gear, ppl just like to get into tge heart of the fight and go crazy, which was possible in the early/midgame while the endgame reqiueres u to play a bit more slowly and plan stuff, or to play salvador xd
I love playing as Axton, he is my main for a reason. Throwing grenades when you're down is a HUGE advantage, not to mention he can take advantage of all types of guns!
Having 10+ grenades and turret(s) makes life sweet. Especially when the turret can take out the annoying flying enemies*. *(Not necessary since a decent player can handle buzzards, raks and such, but it's sweet to have some help at higher levels.)
@@chrisnelson414 I feel this, been playing Axton a lot lately but normally I'm Krieg main. I legit do just suck on M&K and been using the turret to kill Buzzards specifically 😂
When I started playing BL 2 with Axton, I ended up quitting my playthrough because I thought that his skills sucked. Thank God I decided to go on the wiki. The game became a cakewalk thanks to my explosive build
@chrisnelson414 I do like not having to worry about flying enemies, especially in the warrior fight. Easy way to get second wins! Same with Terra's tentacles, once in a while, even on op levels, my turret will get those too!
5:00 as a krieg player, I understand to some his risk/reward may be too high for some, but DUDE! if you haven't tried going back and forth swinging and throwing axes, just to get all your kill skills active, and watch as you do so much damage that one dude become an explosive domino, I don't know how you can even say he sucks
Krieg main literally all it takes is one fastball when you have all of them. People are just 3 year old brains in a adult boby. Kill skills are too hard to get, while a single button gets them.
Man I just love using Plasma Casters, they look so stylish and strong that it doesn't ever matter to me that they take longer to mob with, it's so much more enjoyable than using meta gear!

“Borderlands 2 is only good with the unofficial community patch” Now I actually really like the community patch it has a look of good balance changes but it’s not mandatory
Drop rates when going for say a specific element and right op lvl legendary not even perfect rolls CAN be ROUGH i spent WEEKS attempting to just get a corrosive deliverance on my gaige playing 6+ hours a day without 1.. but as others have mentioned the drop rates are FAR better than in 1 And for uvhm its a LOT harder to go into with purely level 50 gear at say 55+ as nothing scales over 50 in tvhm.. when i first played through did everything in both initial playthroughs and yeah ended up unable to even clear the beginning effectively dps was too low to do more than tickle . Beyond that i really enjoyed toying with numerous loadouts on salvador and gaige.
7:18 The game also came out in 2012, which was a while ago. I always remind myself of it's release date, because the game has drawbacks and such, that were just mainly from the time era.
I’m pissed at the Krieg one because blood splosion is literally one of the more op skills and yes when it comes to mobbing it’s easier and when it comes to bosses it’s harder. Honestly just get better and the community will help you. I had a problem with beating Hector and I never once used the hellborn skill tree due to bad experiences with it earlier but the community on Reddit helped me to properly use the skills in the tree and now I’m able to beat him in 5 minutes.
8:23 Statically, it is a fact that they are the worst weapon category in the game though, all assault rifles have a -20% critical hit multiplier. No other type of weapon has that massive nerf. Personally, the way that is best solution is to play with the UCP on.
hey hellfire i recently discovered your channel and i enjoy your videos i use these as tips for my games and playthroughs. Thanks for the good content man.
Doing my first uvhm run at the moment and i realised quite quickly that i was wayyyyyy over prepared. I walked into it with maya running a bee shield, sandhawk, slag pimpernel, slagga, and a moxxies good touch. I then learned uvhm is incredibly easy when you're trying way too hard.
First time I played through UVHM it was my first run, I played as Zer0. Didn’t use a moxxi weapon until OP1 because I didn’t realize the Grog leveled with you. Had a tough time in a couple places but it’s really not that bad. Transfusion grenades, good build and COM, and smart play make up for it Plus whenever your gear gets underleveled, you can pick up a perfect on level Lascaux with zero effort at any time, and the golden key chest exists, so you don’t even have to farm if you don’t want to. You can just run through UVHM and pick up whatever looks fun and not really have to worry
I remember years back around 2016 or 2017 when i had an xbox 1. i played krieg and got him to level 69 before i switched consoles. I had no idea about builds or which weapons were good, and i still had fun in uvhm, plus seeing krieg reloading the infinity pistol for the first time was hilarious. I will always defend my boy even though i haven't played him in years
Been on the mw3 survival grind for a couple of months now. After another dope vid from HF its time to head back to pandora. Maybe some of the first Borderlands before heading back into BL2. Love from Kentucky Helfire
First we have to distinguish OP10 and UVHM. If you're talking UVHM, then yes there is alot of build diversity. If you're talking OP10, you're smoking if you think there's build diversity. For OP10 specifically slag is a requirement not a suggestion, and most characters have hyper specific skills that carry 90% of the character. Each character has a few skills that absolutely carry them, and without those skills you can't play. Krieg is the easiest example. You can literally only have bloodbath on Krieg and that is a successful build. Critical ascension on Zero is a successful build. Ever played as Anarchy? Meanwhile you have character trees dedicated to tanking, and they're all worse than regen com + hoplite. Or you can just click bore and delete op10 bosses with a starter pistol. The same applies to the gear. Can't kill anything? DPUH it is. Literally anybody can just shamfleet, and that will be more effective than anything the average player will come up with. If you want to be tanky on OP10, your options are health gating with regen coms/moxxi weapons or the sham. The only character with build diversity is salvador, and that's because he has so many broken skills and glitches that he can make pretty much anything work. Off meta with both skills and weapons features playing 95% of the game in FFYL, and 10 minutes of mag dumping for a single encounter. The vast majority of OP10 playthroughs include -Bee -DPUH -Grog -Sandhawk The 4 horseman of "Build diversity". It's disingenuous to say that there is build diversity when you can take a hoplite, survivor com, bore, and critical ascension to clear the entire game with no difficulty, then slap on a bunch of filler skills and gear to claim that you have a unique build. The vast majority of OP10 builds follow using the same few skills, to use off meta weapons, or the same few weapons to use off meta skills, or abuse a glitch. Here and there you do find something unique that works without using the best skills and gear, but that is the exception and not the norm. And that is the issue with build diversity; it's the exception and not the norm.
I spent over 300 hours farming for 1 unkempt herold in the fastest way possible ngl i will rather pay someone to farm for me then to farm for me it take longer to farm then to beat the game
People who main Krieg and Claptrap are psychopaths I happen to be one of those unnecessarily extra chaotic gameplay enjoyers thank you for covering that Axton and Krieg arent trash, its a skill issue lol
What do you mean the drop rates are good??? Tears in my eyes i dont think i have ever seen a better attempt at gaslighting in my entire life. When you factor in having run to from safe stations because the spawn locations arent as close by as the later enteries in the franchise plus legendaries not always dropping on level and the entire weapon parts problem in the game the 10% drop rate starts to become a problem.
Like he said, you don't need perfect parts, or on level for 90% of the content in the game. Farming perfect parts is completely optional and only really "required" for end game. I put required in quotes because some weapons don't even need great parts to be viable. 10% drop rate for legendaries is great dude, running from a fast travel station to the enemy you need to kill 10 times on average is not a bad trade off for a great weapon you'll use for a while. Can't be bothered to spend 15 minutes of your time? Or you started the borderlands series at #3?
@@xtxnctokay but it's really only in the end game that I feel most people farm for things anyway. Maybe it's just bad luck but I hate killing the bunker 20 times just to get nothing. This is actually the only one that I probably disagree as well. Maybe because I want a Decent Twister and one of my fav is melee Zer0, and nobody can convince me that The Hide drop rate is okay.
@@xtxnctrate drops are fine. I challenge you to start from tvhm and up without any shield with more than +1 part. I dare you. Then coke back and tell us how parts mean nothing
Lagging in multi has NEVER been a thing for me and all the mates I've played with. The networking is all based on the players' connection. So if anyone's bandwidth in the lobby sucks, you're cooked. But if everyone's connection is good, it'll run just as smooth as solo. Saying this with having played hundreds of hours on all BL games, 90% of it being co-op.
Appreciate that homie and it’s so true, unless its couch co-op. When it comes to online Borderlands, it’s the people you’re playing with that make it, not the game.
I mean, you really only need to grind when you're in endgame and actually have to get good weapons. If you play this game casually for the story and such, then there's no need.
Glad you said that about axton. I’ve always been an axton main and always gets on my nerves when creators or people dog on him, the survivability and kill skills are a second to Sal imo
I started off bl2 with meta (and what looked cool to me) maya and then sal. messed around with the others a bit, but when i got to UVHM i really enjoyed Axton over the others, all the slag options etc... made that part easy. Slag mechanic was something i hated and Axton is a natural with it :)
I main axton, and honestly, once you build him enough,he becomes absolutely broken. Unfortunately, it is a slow ride until you can get him to this point.
THANK YOU for mentioning OP levels separately, and mentioning that they’re optional. OP levels were, for so long, the reason I was hesitant to touch/get back into BL2. Granted, I’m a more casual player that likes going off the beaten path (I’m actually in the process of playing a cowboy-flavored krieg build, solely because I can), but I was under the misconception that OP levels increased drop rates, and with so many people making videos and chatting about UVHM and OP8/OP10, I was led to believe that they were one of the same. God how I was wrong-I’m having a blast!!!
"Bad drop rates, this is a lie. You just need to put in ridiculous amounts of time save-quit resetting on an obscure named mob, for decent chance and might still not get something because thats how math works." You called it a lie then proceeded to describe the issue as if it debunked itself. Lol.
UVHM... it doesn't get mentioned enough, if at all, but one of the big reasons for its reputation as being too hard, well, it's mainly the later adopters of the game. Because it's all that extra added DLC, if you do everything in the game on the first two playthroughs, you are going to be entering UVHM at level 55+, enemies are level 57, but your gear... level 50. Your legendaries will be horribly underpowered, Your shields dissipate at the slightest tickle, and if you haven't got a slag weapon, you're going to struggle. At first. It's those first couple of hours that put people off, until you start picking up decent, level appropriate weapons, and suddenly it all comes together as a reasonable challenge, rather than a painful slog.
Yeah, one of the biggest reasons i can't stand the newer borderlands games besides them being waaaaay too easy and them ruining the story is the drop rates... there are multiple useful/good blue rarity weapons in bl2, and they see use because legendary weapons aren't so common that You'll just see 15 of them from 10 minutes of gameplay, but in bl3, i had gotten i wana say 20 or 30 legendary weapons in less than 3 hours. That completely ruins progression and makes any weapon that isn't a legendary completly useless. I think a good way to put it is that bl3 and onwards dont have multiple diffrent rarities they have two legendary and garbage. Why use garbage when you're flooded with 50 different legendary weapons by the time you're level 25.
Axton was by far my personal favorite to play. From what I’ve gathered when people say “this character/ item sucks” really just means it’s not broken or just OP.
When people talk about the drop rates in BL2 I like to bring up the story of how they went from 3% to 10%. Gearbox signed up hundreds of dedicated players for a blind test. They released hotfixes a few times a week for a few weeks that would change various boss drop rates. They told the participants which bosses had been altered but not what the rate is in order to keep the study blind. After 3 weeks they reported that the results were near universal that at above 10% players started reporting it felt unrewarding and that under 10% players would start reporting it was too grindy. And while it is true that rng could mean you are there for 3 runs or 60, you can't control rng, but you can control how quick you farm. If you are doing 3 minute loops that 60 runs turns into 3 hrs. If you are doing 30 sec loops that dry streak is only a half hour.
I've got one that I recently learned: "Roid damage is bad on Krieg because of Silence the Voices". Roid damage actually doesn't increase the damage to Krieg's self-hit from silence the voices. I've constantly heard that it did ever since I started playing Krieg from creator after creator, and I just kind of believed it. But I recently read a comment, tested it, and confirmed that it in fact does not. I guess people just kind of assumed this was the case since day 1 and spread it without testing. Rough rider is still the best, but Roid shield like love thumper are viable way later into leveling than people give them credit for (and it's mainly because of this rumor). Rough rider is still the best on Krieg in 99% of cases for endgame, because of a lot of reasons: The damage reduction on it *does* work for StV, and the increased health helps with StV self hits even more. You'll also have a depleted shield most of the time, and Krieg has a lot of % health stacking and damage reduction stacking in his class mods, meta relic picks, and his skill tree. So having a shield that gives a bunch of flat health and damage reduction is perfect for him.
All these misconceptions on BL I have had conversation for years with people online and in person on these specifics topics. Really nice to have you point these out.
Hey Hellfire, I've commented on your vids before, and as soon as I discovered your channel I subbed. I have a VERY quick question regarding misconception 1: You say that 'people' say that BL2 has terrible droprates. I'm trying to figure this out myself, because for me, the droprates are just too low. I play on a stock BL2 on PS3, no DLCs, no updates (my PS3 is not online), and for me, the droprates must be less than 1% for legendaries. Can I ask you, is this because when the game first released, droprates were set to 0.25%, or 0.5%, and updates ramped it to 10%? That would explain it for me.. just curious what you think. I could farm Savage Lee 500x, he's not dropping me that shooter. He just isn't 😂😂
Appreciate the support! And yes, if you’re playing the Day 1 patch on PS3 the drop rates for legendaries range from 1-3% this was upped in 2015 to the 10% that most players know today. Hope this answers your question! The drop rates were low for a long time but ever since that 2015 patch they’ve been perfect imo.
Recently just found your page and I love your content. You’ve really gotten me back into Borderlands 2. Do you have a discord community for Borderlands?
You really do need a moxxi weapon. I’ve used transfusion and they really don’t even come close to a slag rubi in overall usefulness, unless you want to be tedious for no reason
On the machine gun thing, personally I’ve noticed they don’t suck, but smg’s just have given me better results, even compared to the boost axton can give them, I would switch out to a smg and it did better, maybe it’s a equipment choice thing, but typically I get better results with smgs on axton, still have ammo maxed for them as well as a kerblaster in my inventory
About the build variety, it is still true that some weapons lose a lot of their power at OP10, so i like to play with the unofficial community mod to get some of the most forgotten (so I have an actual whisky tango foxtrot + slow hand Gaige build that barely holds together) The one I have the most issues with is the godfather, which is quite usable but for its rarity pretty dissapointing, and scales down with some abilities made for snipers... I love this gun but its usage is so limited without a small bump The most fun I had was playing at OP0 doing random freaking builds, or doing a run from 0 to lvl max with no focused farm allowed, only world drop makes my build !
Use to do a lot of Couch Co-op on the first Borderlands with a good friend of mine, before we moved to online play after I moved out of the area. Will say that playing Borderlands as Couch Co-op is quite the experience and be great if it could happen more. Just able to do so much and without the lag and easier to trade and exchange things as needed.
Krieg does not suck, but the console version (might just be a splitscreen bug) can not gain bloodlust stacks. It makes that tree entirely unusable, and it makes me very sad :(
i played bl2 for years on ps3 before i ever saw youtube bl2 content. i learned so much more about the game after that but i didn't realize how meta a lot of gear was and i played fine without a lot of it. i had no idea that all moxxi weapons healed even though the Hail is probably my fave gun but it definitely made sense cause i used it often and i was never going down more than everyone else or struggling bbecause i wasn't running a dp harold or beehawking
I learnt early on that most stuff you read about BL2 online is nonsense. For example a quick google search will tell you that you cannot get multiple Bad Touches in the same playthrough without glitches but it isn't true it's just the 2nd drop has a 0.4% chance. People also think certain characters suck because they are comparing them to Sal.
Also getting a legendary in bl 2 is feels special to me, cause sometimes you need to work for it, in bl3 i feel like i can get one in every corner and most likely it feels just an orange tinted epic gun
5: I get where people are coming from. in BL1 & BL3, by the end of TVHM, your bank will be brimming with legendaries you found along the way. In BL2, I've had multiple playthroughs where I only found 1 maybe 2 by the end of TVHM. 4: sure MOXXI weapons aren't NEEDED but they are definitely meta gear. It's no coincidence that most Sal players rock the grog-DPUH combo. And yes, transfusion grenades are AMAZING, I always use them in almost every playthrough 3: Krieg is a HIGH risk high reward character that needs a lot of skill (and luck) to use. Axton isn't BAD... but not the strongest. He does lag behind a little in UVHM compared to other characters. He's still good if you are 2: I can't get very far on UVHM, it's just a skill issue HM 1: I have fond memories of playing with my brother. I still mostly play solo nowadays HM 2: They suck because they deal 1.5x crit dmg rather than the 2x that all other weapons receive. In UVHM that's a lot of missed damage, but there are A LOT of good legendary and unique ARs that you should pass up. 1: yeah... there is a strong end game meta that many players gravitate towards. Same skills, same gear. That's why in the first few months of BL3, There were a lot of balancing to gear and skills so there wasn't just 1 meta. They didn't want a 2nd round of Grog-DPUH Sal (most viable endgame character)
Hey Hellfire, just wanted to say that there are still people like me watching and re-discovering the marvel that is Borderlands 2!! Love your content, by far my favorite Borderlands creator on the platform. Just wanted to say there are still ppl out there playing and watching! haha... Oh yeah, regarding your comment about low droprates.? Until yesterday, i was one of those ppl that always complained, and never understood how I've had such horrendous luck. Truly, I've been very unlucky, but such is life, specifically when RNG is at play. I'm just a noob, I've done 1 playthrough on Normal, and now I'm on TVHM. I've farmed Savage Lee over 30 times, and he literally doesn't drop a thing. But your comment about RNG, and despite 10% being an av,rage can kinda use, you can certainly have bad luck and do something 50 or more times before that Legendary drop. This was a long message, sorry about that, I just really wanted to tell you how much I've enjoyed your stuff! Much love
Maybe i just have bad luck, but after 700 hrs in bl2 vs 300 hrs in bl3 im pretty sure the drop rate is either different, or calculated differently. I have gotten significantly more legendaries from bl3 than bl2, with some runs I don’t see a legendary till the eridium blight (in fairness I got a hornet from knuckledragger once), whereas in bl3 I’ve gotten more consistent legendary drops, to the point I expect one each boss fight. I think that drop rate is likely calculated by increasing legendary drops for each enemy you kill until one drops, whereas it’s a locked 10% in bl2. Lemmie know what u think about my idea tho
All facts! BL2 has been helped and severely hurt by TH-cam. On the plus it keeps it alive on the negative, everyone that came after year 3 or more have been just copycat players. They go online and copy builds. Never learn the game, and get pissed it doesn’t work out for them. I come across a lot of players that won’t touch anything but a legendary or better. There’s a lot of meta in bl2 but there’s almost an entire 2nd game that just about exploring and learning the game and making it fit you and your style. There’s no bad vault hunters, all have good pros and cons. Salvador in novice hands is just a fun dual welding character, not the op monster TH-cam shows most of us he could be. I like it better when I didn’t know that.
I am just having fun levelling characters up to 80, then seeing what can be done with them. It's a game, enjoy it, have fun with it, be grateful for the contributors like k1ller 6, who spend their valuable time to make content videos for us to learn from each other. Thanks bro, I love your vids.
I completely agree with you man. And I’m not gonna lie about it, for a long time I was a player who believed Moxxi guns were required on UVHM but my dad and I play everyday and awhile back I started seeing how he never used them and rarely ever went into fight for your life so I tried it without them and although yes I have still died a few times because it is borderlands lmao I rarely ever use Moxxi guns anymore 😂
Wait, people thing Axton and Krieg suck? As someone with over 6000 hours in BL2 who has played plenty on all characters, those two are my favorite. None of the characters suck honestly. All can complete 4x spawns 4 player health mod just fine, you can even add other difficulty mods like UVHM+ and the awesome difficulty settings SDK mod and make it through. Great video clearing up quite a few misconceptions, always love stuff like this.
Hearings people complaining about BL2’s drop rates is hilarious to me given I’ve spent the weekend farming claptrap’s on BL1 for the collectible achievements with a friend

Its like 500% or so extra weapon damage.....

The UCP helps.
@@ayy_its_sid5741 OP 20 UCP when? xD
I mean this guy is talking out of his ass with that and the whole UVHM shit so that can we do.
You don't HAVE to use grog, but you can and open up your grenade slot for much better nades. Simply put, it's the objectively correct option
@@0fficalHellfiresaying that zer0's kunai is good for slaghing is disingenuous
@@MrRADicalOfficialdude u made me remember someone sweep the op10 mobbing with underleveled white gear, ppl just like to get into tge heart of the fight and go crazy, which was possible in the early/midgame while the endgame reqiueres u to play a bit more slowly and plan stuff, or to play salvador xd

You're spitting facts and nice background song starting at 3:59 "I tried so hard and got so far but IN THE END it doesn't even matter!"
@@chrisnelson414 most of the time, it's the turret that make the flying enemies to attack you.

Because he's dumb enough to think his friends rng is proof 0.88% is normal and nit his friends being the luckiest person and would be farming for a month if he tried again.
“Borderlands 2 is only good with the unofficial community patch”
Now I actually really like the community patch it has a look of good balance changes but it’s not mandatory
I only play vanilla bl2 so I can attest to this ❤️ solid honorable mention
Drop rates when going for say a specific element and right op lvl legendary not even perfect rolls CAN be ROUGH i spent WEEKS attempting to just get a corrosive deliverance on my gaige playing 6+ hours a day without 1.. but as others have mentioned the drop rates are FAR better than in 1
And for uvhm its a LOT harder to go into with purely level 50 gear at say 55+ as nothing scales over 50 in tvhm.. when i first played through did everything in both initial playthroughs and yeah ended up unable to even clear the beginning effectively dps was too low to do more than tickle .
Beyond that i really enjoyed toying with numerous loadouts on salvador and gaige.
It's nice to see someone genuinely shouting out other creators again
Glad to see "pearls suck" not on this list :)

Playing borderlands solo is a hell i’d wish on nobody.
I do just fine with Krieg as well. I nor players just need to give him a proper shot
I don't even play Borderlands anymore, but I'll watch a video about it.
BL2 has a special place in my skeleton heart.
Same here Durty Dan❤️ it’s got a special place in mine as well
Doing my first uvhm run at the moment and i realised quite quickly that i was wayyyyyy over prepared.
Transfusion grenades, good build and COM, and smart play make up for it
Plus whenever your gear gets underleveled, you can pick up a perfect on level Lascaux with zero effort at any time, and the golden key chest exists, so you don’t even have to farm if you don’t want to. You can just run through UVHM and pick up whatever looks fun and not really have to worry
UVHM is easy. OP levels are where the challenge is at.
Thanks so much for the shoutout! Didn't expect it and certainly didn't expect such kind words❤
Thanks for making good videos yo, that’s what we need more of in the community
There was an update released in 2015 that improved legendary drop rates, with most bosses getting a dedicated drop rate of 10%.
This is correct. And they were much much worse on the og patch being mostly around 3%. It’s almost been fixed for a decade
The reason why the cobra is so rare is because it drops from random burner enemies, and how often are you actually killing these burners
I feel the thing with Moxxi weapons is more so how effective they are that they outclass other options in the game, especially the Grog
The vast majority of OP10 playthroughs include
-Bee
-DPUH
-Grog
-Sandhawk
The 4 horseman of "Build diversity".
People that say Axton sucks are just pissed because he isn’t as easy to do OP builds with as Salvador.
I spent over 300 hours farming for 1 unkempt herold in the fastest way possible ngl i will rather pay someone to farm for me then to farm for me it take longer to farm then to beat the game

My problem with farming is the annoying getting in and out of the save file to respawn the bosses. It kills the fun for me.

Glad you said that about axton. I’ve always been an axton main and always gets on my nerves when creators or people dog on him, the survivability and kill skills are a second to Sal imo
Farming the cobra when it first released was actually impossible, after the first week there was only a handful of people who got it legitimately.
Borderlands 1 is better btw 💜💜
Nades slag chance is not really as good as using a weapon unless you chuck like 3 of them
That’s why I use the Antagonist and the turret to help with slag 🙏🏽 most characters have skills to help with slagging as well
Best thing about borderlands is that it doesn't matter the game; there's always a player ready to reset again lol.
"Bad drop rates, this is a lie. You just need to put in ridiculous amounts of time save-quit resetting on an obscure named mob, for decent chance and might still not get something because thats how math works."
You called it a lie then proceeded to describe the issue as if it debunked itself. Lol.
UVHM... it doesn't get mentioned enough, if at all, but one of the big reasons for its reputation as being too hard, well, it's mainly the later adopters of the game.
People tend to forget how good the game is even without moxxi weapons. They’re considered quality of life items, but not necessarily needed.
You actually said a common misconception and that is that you need slag in ivy mode you don’t it just makes it a hell of a lot easier
Axton was by far my personal favorite to play. From what I’ve gathered when people say “this character/ item sucks” really just means it’s not broken or just OP.
Non-Unique Maliwan Guns are genuinely really great, however my favourite to use recently got to be the pistols with binary prefix
i appreciate the dead rising music at tha end
Great points and all of this is 100% true. The drop rates saw their official increase to drop rates in 2015 and it hit the sweet spot!
one of the biggest misconceptions about op10 is that health stacking is bad. it isnt even close to being bad.
Completely off topic,, but I still love the backpack capacity glitch!!
Just got back into this game. Love the fact that ppl are still making content ab it🔥🔥
It’s timeless. No matter how much time passes. We always come back
4:00 no offense, but I really would abandon Crisis management in favor of those extra grenades
All these misconceptions on BL I have had conversation for years with people online and in person on these specifics topics. Really nice to have you point these out.
Hey Hellfire, I've commented on your vids before, and as soon as I discovered your channel I subbed. I have a VERY quick question regarding misconception 1:
You say that 'people' say that BL2 has terrible droprates.
Sticky Longbow Slag Transfusion. You heal and get slag. Can also target multiple enemies. It's my favorite form of slagging.
Demonite made me crazy good on axton
Recently just found your page and I love your content. You’ve really gotten me back into Borderlands 2. Do you have a discord community for Borderlands?
some of the drop rates are fine...until your farming a sham, let alone...the 94% sham
About the build variety, it is still true that some weapons lose a lot of their power at OP10, so i like to play with the unofficial community mod to get some of the most forgotten (so I have an actual whisky tango foxtrot + slow hand Gaige build that barely holds together)
The one I have the most issues with is the godfather, which is quite usable but for its rarity pretty dissapointing, and scales down with some abilities made for snipers... I love this gun but its usage is so limited without a small bump
The most fun I had was playing at OP0 doing random freaking builds, or doing a run from 0 to lvl max with no focused farm allowed, only world drop makes my build !
i’ve had more fun playing kreige than any other vh personally
Rebalands mod.
And yes, transfusion grenades are AMAZING, I always use them in almost every playthrough
3: Krieg is a HIGH risk high reward character that needs a lot of skill (and luck) to use. Axton isn't BAD... but not the strongest. He does lag behind a little in UVHM compared to other characters. He's still good if you are
2: I can't get very far on UVHM, it's just a skill issue
HM 1: I have fond memories of playing with my brother. I still mostly play solo nowadays
HM 2: They suck because they deal 1.5x crit dmg rather than the 2x that all other weapons receive.
Love this vids keep it up !
Juicy Ravager, Torgue shotgun. A wall of explosion with bonus crit damage on top. Most e-tech weapons are pretty damn solid.

Much love
The drop rate is bad in bl2. It is not uncommon to go through the whole game and never see one legendary
Yeah one of things that is weird to me that people are complaining that UVHM is hard tho it is meant to be that way , it is the ULTIMATE challenge.
Krieg is my favorite character to play as in all of borderlands! My build is beast mode.
While there are plenty of good assault rifles, on average, non-unique/legendary ones are worse than SMG’s.
I am just having fun levelling characters up to 80, then seeing what can be done with them.

I wonder if people know that Bekah has the Highest dps in the game assuming you can click about 9 times a second and manage recoil
"the online capabilities have never been there for gearbox" sounds like a mfer that never played gearboxes best game Battleborn.
