Can you tell me your foot measurement in cm? The rx6 isn’t as stiff, I’m thinking of getting those.

Sorry just seen this comment, I missed it till now. My foot length from heel to toe is 30cm exactly.

Orifice. Very odd word ref to a shoe. Anyhow, useful vid. Thanks.

Orifice - I suppose it does have biological connotations. However, in general it just means a hole in something. I thought foot-hole sounded a bit old too. I did see if I could find a. Shoemakers definition off the hole you put your foot into but couldn't find anything - suggestions welcome.
Otherwise, thank you for your useful and encouraging comments. 👍

I think the padding in this area of the shoe would be the topline, cuff or collar padding@@FiveMinuteVelo (I spent a couple of years of my life studying foot mechanics so learnt a bit too much about shoe anatomy!)
I bought a pair of these shoes and did a couple of rides, but they weren't for me. I was happy with the stiffness (I'm used to stiff road shoes) but I found the overall fit quite narrow. There are other brands I find a bit too narrow, such as Fizik, but these were uncomfortably so for anything more than a short ride. I ended up selling them on and getting some Giro shoes for off-road use.
