I was going to get a another pair of these rx8's but now I've seen the new version with the stone stopper ankle rap I'll think wait.
I’ll be waiting for the full review. I have a pair of the outgoing model, which I really like. I’m considering getting a second pair in a couple of months, so I wonder if the fit has changed over the previous one.

How much is the last width on those shoes, please?
You said that they come in regular and wide but how wide is regular? 😉
Good stuff mate, I just ordered the RX6 (RX600) in a wide version. Ordered 600s as carbon soles in RX8 were easily scratched & less ventilation according to some reviewers.
RX8 owner here; I had them for ~5 years and used them for road, gravel and MTB. The carbon sole of the right shoe has split/delaminated at the front. Yes, the sole is severely scratched up; but that doesn't really bother me. I will check out the 600s or may get something more robust (XC702). Then again, they withstood 5 years of abuse .

I wonder how well that cuff will seal around my skinny ankles in a 43
im confuse, between RX8 or XC7 , some said the rubber outsole of RX8 not quite durable ...
I've had no problems with the outsole of the RX8.
Do you by chance have experience with SIDI? I am 43 on SIDI and I am wondering what size I would be on the Shimano RX8. Thanks in advance.
I do! I generally ride a size 42.5 in Sidi Dragon / Genius, and Size 43 with the RX8. The RX8 is available in a 43.5, which I think would be the size for you. I hope this works, good luck!
