FSI 1.6 Cheap? is not! 1200-2000 Benz 7.2 - But is too sleepy, runs so slow but when u meak 2000-3000/minute its geting little faster LIttle faster and Benz gos UP! like 2.0 and more. But Golf is really good car, very. it's more better that Toyota Corola (1.6, before father bought )
whats HID? and the base price is estimated to be $25,000 MSRP. which still suck because the options on the car are really expensive in the U.S. i think i might just get the 2008 R32. or, does anyone know when the next R32 comes out?
i love this car!!!! but honestly, the differential system is not a real differential. this is the first time vw has disappointed me. but not by much. they are trying to save money in today global economy.

HID is the High Intensity Discharge headlights, usually in blue/violet colors. A lot of features such as adaptive cruise control and stuff are standard in Europe, but not in the US to keep the price down, hope they do. 25k is too much, i'd much rather opt for a Mazdaspeed3 or WRX. The R32 is going to be replaced by a AWD GTI-R, I'm looking forward to that, but depending on the price, I will choose between that and the 2 i listed above.
@americancarsarecrap I agree, though I'd say the Mazda is a legit choice if one's tastes run Japanese. Having owned both marks, they're far and away more fun to drive than all of the other non-high end makes. I'd say the Mazda is virtually tied as far as "fun to drive" but that level of refinement and ,dare i say, comfort that comes with the VW is what truly sets it apart.
soms snap ik niet waar mensen over praten. ik hoor vergelijkingen terwijl er vaak nog nooit door diegene in de vergelijkbare auto's gereden is. Ik heb hier voor een Renault Megane RS gehad met 225 pk en dat ging natuurlijk hartstikke hard. na de 3000 RPM kreeg je een enorme schop onder je kont omdat de turbo je een zet in je rug gaf. Toch ben ik over gestapt op de Golf 6 GTI, heb hier nooit echt naar gekeken omdat ik sommige dingen gewoon niet mooi vond. zoals de velgen, naja andere velgen onder gezet en vond het gelijk een stuk mooier. Led pakket erbij want de fabrieksachterlichten vind ik ook niet heel mooi. Gewoon een lekkere handbak. ik hou van het roeren in zo'n bak en vind een DSG leuk maar mijn voorkeur gaat toch uit naar de handbak. ik hoor sommige over snelheid en dit is sneller en dat is sneller, en ja dat klopt een Megane RS rijdt zo'n golf GTI omver op het circuit maar sla eens een deur dicht bij een megane, als of je een glas laat vallen. gooi de deur van de Golf dicht en je deur voelt en klinkt ook echt dicht. ik heb bij mijn megane 3 keer het raammechanisme vervangen omdat het simpelweg niet werkte. Ik heb toch liever degelijkheid dan dat snelle wat de Megane RS had. en gaat het je niet hard genoeg? rijd even langs een kietelaar en voor ongeveer 600 euro heb je 262 PK in je golf. probleem opgelost.

I'd pay the extra for the golf and get it instead of the mazda or the wrx. all in all its a better car so in the long run its the better choice.
