I personally didn’t mind the symbolism of the wings in this scene. Diana realises the wings put her on the defensive and has to trust in her own abilities again, so she sheds them. I think the look was so hyped by the marketing team (and they look fantastic) that we were expecting them to be a major part of the finale and they weren’t 🫠

Honestly they should have made the fight scene with Cheetah being way faster and a lot smarter in fighting Diana and showed that she could hurt her here. This didn’t seem like a fight and was more like Diana running around til she got an idea to make her friend who can’t hurt her go unconscious, she didn’t even get scratched by her and outside of travel speed she wasn’t that much faster than her either. The movie wasn’t the worst but in terms of wasted potential it’s on the same level as Sakura in Naruto. I’d have appreciated Diana realizing she can’t treat Cheetah like literally everyone else she fights and then her training kicks in after a flashback with her aunt Antiope. I do hope they make a WW 3 but with ZS or any director who likes WW enough to pay homage to her abilities and not turn her into a boring 80s nostalgia device or a Superhero who is there to look cool and sexy while fighting. She should represent something.

WW is no way near as strong and superman, which is why Darkseid can easily handle her, and has done so in many fights. She also isn't anywhere near as durable as superman, and has been wounded several times.

That's all there is to it. Cause if she can take lightning attacks from ares, super man level punches from doomsday, a headbutt from Superman, laserblasts from doomsday, it makes no sense that she isn't bulletproof. When she starts losing her powers, she was surprised when the bullet wounded her.

WW's sword cut through doomsday's leg and cut off doomsday's hand with one swipe. If she wanted she can behead superman with one swipe. If super man holds his hand up to block it, his hand will be chopped off. And if he stays in the same place like he did with steppenwolf to say 'not impressed' his whole left side will be chopped off. I agree that super man is stronger and more durable than WW. But in the battle with doomsday she did the most damage to him. Even after several attacks from doomsday, she had not a single bruise on her. So superman can't simply one punch her. While she can cut him with one swipe cause her weapons are magic.
I watched this on the big screen the other day and the fight is MUCH better while watching it on a cinema screen. It looks weird on a computer screen but it was really great in the theater.
When Asteria comes and meets her culture again she gonna be like: hey where is my armor? Wonder Woman: uh 😐 it’s broken and half of it is in the ocean :>
Unfortuntately, special effects in that movie left a lot to be desired. Even her true powers were so underrated thanks to a dumb magic stone. Also, she could fight Cheetah easily WITHOUT her eagle armor once she had just recovered her powers but movie writers don't read comics. Let's hope they can do something way better in Wonder Woman 3.
I get that she lost her powers at some point, but come on, Diana doesn't fear death regardless she fullsends all the time, LIKE A WARRIOR. She has full-sent Doomsday and Darkseid knowing full well she could die, then suddenly she's lassoing around like an idiot against Cheetah??. The entire movie is a continuity error. They could have just de-powered her and made it an epic hand-to-hand combat where WW subdues her with elite skill, that would have been so much more compelling and more "girl power" than Diana losing all sense of combat skill and lassoing tf around for no reason.
There are obviously people here who haven't read the comics. Barbara can cut through Asteria's armor because that is her ability. It's comic book-accurate.

I think it would have been great if Cheetah had scratched up Diana, even if it was just a little. After all, Diana is the daughter of Zeus! She will quickly heal and recover from any harm that Cheetah is able to inflict upon her. Also, I wish Cheetah could have used her tail as a weapon, just like Diana uses her lasso as a weapon. I think that would have been amazing! And of course more work to do for the special effects team that worked on the movie! But worth it.

Cheetah was pretty awesome! I want to see Cheetah return in the next Wonder Woman movie. It would have been really cool if Cheetah had the power to use her tail the same way that Diana uses her lasso of Hestia. The villain Max Lord didn't do much for me. I thought he was kind of disappointing, but Cheetah was very impressive. I wish the movie had featured way more of her. As for the wish stone, didn't anyone in the world consider wishing for world peace???

I don't know why a lot of people talk bad about this but i loved this part. When she rides the lightening, the golden armour arrival, the Cheetah first look with those scary eyes, when Cheetah tries to break the wings and you can see her face, the fighting in the air... this was clearly the best action scene of the movie.
its because the elements in this scene do not match with how it was descibred in the comics. and even when comparing it with the animated movies where cheetah and Diana would go head to head, Diana just seemed powerless in this scene when technically, if we are to based in the comics, cheetah may be as strong but Diana definitely can match her mobility and strength. Cheetah aerial flight is an homage to a Serval a cat evolved to hunt flying birds so they jumping, swaying, and anchoring her weight against her was perfect on how they do it, so it may have displeased comic fans, but this nature enthusiast was impressed.
I wish this film was set in the jungle like kong skull island or Indiana jones with overtones and feels of the mummy films, it could’ve been diana and barbara just being archeologists or something and then they discover an ancient tribe and they take Barbara but then they transform her into the cheetah or something because in the comics the cheetah is the protecter to a tribe, it still could’ve been in the 80s, idk this was just a quick brainstorm of what I would’ve liked lol

Similarly, when Rogue (X-Men) absorbs another superhero's powers/abilities, she also gets some level of their knowledge of its use. It isn't starting at square 1, and I'm assuming the wish to be like Diana came with her training/expertise, not just her powers.
While the film was disjointed and the screenplay wasn't that great, the action sequences were good and the acting was fine. If they ever make a WW3, it would be interesting to see which direction they'll move in.

The way this fight was completely emotionless and pointless makes me a little sad for Cheetah. It just comes down to a few swings and bouncing back and forth.
I felt nothing for their connection but u did see wonder woman trying to take it easy because cheetah is basically the only one she has left but gal gadot can't act, she is below average but she is gorgeous and really looks like wonder woman but the fight scene was good to be honest

Considering that WW is almost as strong and tough as Superman, her wearing metal armor is like protecting a can of beans by wrapping it in a layer of tin foil
She's nearly as strong as but Wonder Woman has always been vulnerable to sharp objects and fast projectiles.
That's why she has her bracers/gauntlets
WW is no way near as strong and superman, which is why Darkseid can easily handle her, and has done so in many fights.
She also isn't anywhere near as durable as superman, and has been wounded several times.
She's wonderful but Superman is super; just look at justice league vs Superman to see how well she and the others do vs Superman lol

Well that's like asking why does super man put one fist up when flying. Super man doesn't need to do that but that's his style. Wonder woman's signature move in the x she makes with her hands. That's all there is to it. Cause if she can take lightning attacks from ares, super man level punches from doomsday, a headbutt from Superman, laserblasts from doomsday, it makes no sense that she isn't bulletproof. When she starts losing her powers, she was surprised when the bullet wounded her.
@Rennie Ash in that fight, wonder woman can easily kill super man if she wanted to. Remember that magic is one of super man's weaknesses. WW's sword cut through doomsday's leg and cut off doomsday's hand with one swipe. If she wanted she can behead superman with one swipe. If super man holds his hand up to block it, his hand will be chopped off. And if he stays in the same place like he did with steppenwolf to say 'not impressed' his whole left side will be chopped off. I agree that super man is stronger and more durable than WW. But in the battle with doomsday she did the most damage to him. Even after several attacks from doomsday, she had not a single bruise on her. So superman can't simply one punch her. While she can cut him with one swipe cause her weapons are magic.
This is like the only time we see a Golden Armor in a fight scene and this is how creative they make it?
The symbolism is so good. A Cheetah hunting an eagle but clearly doesn't realize that it can fly and use it against her to toss her around.

Unfortuntately, special effects in that movie left a lot to be desired. Even her true powers were so underrated thanks to a dumb magic stone. Also, she could fight Cheetah easily WITHOUT her eagle armor once she had just recovered her powers but movie writers don't read comics. Let's hope they can do something way better in Wonder Woman 3.

I get that she lost her powers at some point, but come on, Diana doesn't fear death regardless she fullsends all the time, LIKE A WARRIOR. She has full-sent Doomsday and Darkseid knowing full well she could die, then suddenly she's lassoing around like an idiot against Cheetah??. The entire movie is a continuity error. They could have just de-powered her and made it an epic hand-to-hand combat where WW subdues her with elite skill, that would have been so much more compelling and more "girl power" than Diana losing all sense of combat skill and lassoing tf around for no reason.
There are obviously people here who haven't read the comics. Barbara can cut through Asteria's armor because that is her ability. It's comic book-accurate.

I think it would have been great if Cheetah had scratched up Diana, even if it was just a little. After all, Diana is the daughter of Zeus! She will quickly heal and recover from any harm that Cheetah is able to inflict upon her. Also, I wish Cheetah could have used her tail as a weapon, just like Diana uses her lasso as a weapon. I think that would have been amazing! And of course more work to do for the special effects team that worked on the movie! But worth it.

Cheetah was pretty awesome! I want to see Cheetah return in the next Wonder Woman movie. It would have been really cool if Cheetah had the power to use her tail the same way that Diana uses her lasso of Hestia. The villain Max Lord didn't do much for me. I thought he was kind of disappointing, but Cheetah was very impressive. I wish the movie had featured way more of her. As for the wish stone, didn't anyone in the world consider wishing for world peace???

I don't know why a lot of people talk bad about this but i loved this part. When she rides the lightening, the golden armour arrival, the Cheetah first look with those scary eyes, when Cheetah tries to break the wings and you can see her face, the fighting in the air... this was clearly the best action scene of the movie.
its because the elements in this scene do not match with how it was descibred in the comics. and even when comparing it with the animated movies where cheetah and Diana would go head to head, Diana just seemed powerless in this scene when technically, if we are to based in the comics, cheetah may be as strong but Diana definitely can match her mobility and strength. For me it wasnt really bad, but was rather disappointing

Cheetah aerial flight is an homage to a Serval a cat evolved to hunt flying birds so they jumping, swaying, and anchoring her weight against her was perfect on how they do it, so it may have displeased comic fans, but this nature enthusiast was impressed.
I wish this film was set in the jungle like kong skull island or Indiana jones with overtones and feels of the mummy films, it could’ve been diana and barbara just being archeologists or something and then they discover an ancient tribe and they take Barbara but then they transform her into the cheetah or something because in the comics the cheetah is the protecter to a tribe, it still could’ve been in the 80s, idk this was just a quick brainstorm of what I would’ve liked lol

Similarly, when Rogue (X-Men) absorbs another superhero's powers/abilities, she also gets some level of their knowledge of its use. It isn't starting at square 1, and I'm assuming the wish to be like Diana came with her training/expertise, not just her powers.
While the film was disjointed and the screenplay wasn't that great, the action sequences were good and the acting was fine. If they ever make a WW3, it would be interesting to see which direction they'll move in.
The set designer and fight choreographer both clearly have no idea how overhead power lines actually work.
I was wondering about that. Could Cheetah swing on an energized broken line like that without getting popped? What about when she comes in contact with a tower while holding the line? Ending of the clip implies that she got zapped good when the line hit the water, so why not before that?
