    • @Cloughjordan23
      @Cloughjordan23 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Except this "soldiers on the street" claim is more myth than fact. Yes there will be some but not the number said. Ex forces get more help than any other group in society. The ex forces on the street are mainly lads who never fully made it into the forces and only tried cos they had nothing else to do. They are ppl that we're gonna do drink n drugs regardless of what place in society they would find themselves in. All these ppl wanna "say it how it is" but when it comes to these so called ex forces lads they are treated like snowflakes and no one speaks to them, or about them, with any bollix. It's all softly softly and is no different to the liberal do holders attitude.

    Bit of info. Rusty talks about ‘Scaleys’ (Royal Signals). They are nicknamed thus because in the early days of radios, they were powered by big lead/acid batteries, which the troops would carry in packs on their back. When the batteries leaked, the acid would burn their back, hence Scaley-backs.

    I’ve stopped trying to explain to people what’s happening to our societies and why. It’s the first time in my life that I am actually afraid to talk about what it will take to resolve it. Dangerous times are coming folks, but I’ll be dammed if I know how to stop it.

    • @EasyTiger.01343

      It’s alright. Have a cuppa tea and a [biscuit of choice]. All societies are actually changing all the time. If you compare the first two decades of the 20th century, the changes that society and industry were going through (1900-1920) were far more extreme than they are today. Aircraft were invented as a new technology (you think iPhones are impressive) the automobile was erupting, industrial innovations were transforming society, then there was a grotesque mind-melting World War [to end all wars] which, for the first time in history, was capable of killing millions of people, almost effortlessly, and to a relatively well planned schedule. If you were 40 years old and living in a European country in 1923 your mind would have been blown by the changes happening in society. And the art and culture of those times reflect this same volcanic pace of change. 100 years on, here we are in the early stages of the third decade and, it’s still very very very exciting and utterly volatile. Humans! We’re a passionate lot!

    Just wanted to say that was A bloody beautiful honest interview which I really found very grounding and a lesson of how I was treated in early school, spoken to and came to believe that I was the problem but now I see how important it is for a young man to have some real respectful men who offer there oppion to a young man who is out of his depth in life is so valuable to have, but a eye opener for myself to the shit house attitude I had growing up. Well done and congratulations on a wonderful life which could have been so very different. Much respect Matt

      Politicians are nothing but actors who a selected on their ability to speak well in public and who are willing to follow strict instructions from the actual people in charge (The Elites as often referred to)…..these politicians are the type of people who are willing to sell their sole to the devil so to speak to feed their ego’s and to line their pockets. We are irrelevant to them make no mistake about that!
