This has to be the best interview I’ve seen of Larry. Thank you to the interviewer for not interrupting him or asking simplistic questions. You can see Larry has regrets and values his family over the life.
Agreed 110%. Larry’s best interview so far. Gonna be hard to beat this way. I give it up to Vlad for getting Larry’s first major interview to my understanding.
@@Trav81888 what I like about Larry is he doesn’t embellish his story and is pretty straightforward. Glad to see he doesn’t venerate Scarpa or Linda and realizes that he was just a means to an end.
@@PolynesianPrince97 you couldn’t have said it better. He says it how it is. In this video I really enjoy how he opens up more about the affects of what he did ie: the nightmares the change in his thinking when they happened etc. it was brilliant. I really thoroughly enjoyed it.
Best mob story ive ever heard and what a man, owned what hes done and doesnt glory the life at all, has regrets he knows he has to live with and is making the most out of a situation he had very little choice in being involved in from 17 years old. Maximum respect Larry and wish you and your family nothing but the best 🙏🏽

@@JamesEnglish thank you Mate. And thank you Larry for a great interview. It takes two to tango James. You did a wonderful job letting Larry talk and asking excellent excellent questions. Cheers to you James
Wow, what an interview and what a story! I only discovered your channel recently James. Love everything I’ve heard so far but this one is hands down my favourite. What a guest! Larry has had a chequered past (his own words) but what a man. Fascinating story and a great story teller. Despite his past and what he’s done, I wish this man all the best in the future and hope his message is heard by whoever needs to hear it. Superb!
You didn’t notice how he referred to Linda and Greg Sr as “being crazy” or “nuts”? He said that about both of them more than once too. Idk man, he loved them both tremendously & viewed Scarpa Sr as a father figure. If he thinks Linda & Greg are crazy then I wonder what he thinks of Larry… Larry Mazza is an awesome guest for podcast to have. With a guest like Larry you don’t need to be a great interviewer or come up with a bunch of “great” questions. All you have to do is ask them to tell the listeners their story and then you can sit back and enjoy the show. I could do without some of the bizarre questions he asked, like “so, would you do anything for Linda?” Maybe on the surface a question like that might seem normal, however, in this case that question was really random and weird. It makes me curious about what goes on in this man’s head. I’m imagining how most content creators would prepare for an interview with a figure like Larry. For me, it’s a really strange question to want to ask. It’s an interview with a former made member of the Columbo family. Larry isn’t a super famous mobster and the biggest reason is due to him becoming involved in the life towards the very end of the golden years of American Cosa Nostra. What makes a guy like Larry so special was his connection/relationship with Greg Scarpa Sr. Scarpa is hands down in the top 5 most feared men in Cosa Nostra history. If I met someone that feels that Scarpa Sr was THE most feared gangster of all time, there’s a lot of people that would agree with that. Anyone that considers themselves to be a mafia historian would know that there aren’t a lot of interviews with people that were the right hand man for a super infamous mobster like Scarpa. The material is priceless. You could make movies out of several of Larry’s stories.
Love listening to Larry 👌 good to see him back on social media again. I know he took himself off it there a while back. Greg Scarpa was one of the most notorious gangsters out there, and Larry was his wingman. His story is fuckin crazy, to put it mildly.
